Property Ratings at Countryside Townhouses of Auburn Hills
We had put in an application in May and were told there was a 2 month waitlist. It is now 5 months later and we were just given the opportunity to move in. At this point there have been many life changes. We were told that because the application is only valid for 90 says we had to resubmit all income requirements. We were told after 5 months of waiting that we no longer are able to rent here because we no longer make enough. The fact that they require you to make nearly $40k annually is absurd. This is the lowest rent in the area but the hardest to qualify for. Kim in the office was less than helpful and more often then not rude and condescending. It is not worth it.
The set up of the townhouses is what drew me in. I've lived here for 2 years, so I have a very good understanding of how this office and the community ACTUALLY ARE. pretty sure some of these reviews are from their own staff. don't trust a single good thing said about this place. the neighbors are rude and selfish. the office is some of the worst I've ever dealt with. I have great standings with all other rentals I have lived in.... these people are impossible to get along with. DON'T MOVE HERE!!!!!
We have been here for 5 years. Kim has always taken action when I bring anything to the office's attention. With the Covid-19 mess going on, the office has really stepped up to maintain my safety yet keep my work orders running smoothly. I wanted to come on here and leave a message for Kim saying thank you on behalf of the community. There are a few bad apples who I assure you- do not speak for everyone here. That's why I wanted to leave this review. Keep up the great work and keep safe! Thanks Countryside Staff!
I lived here for 2 years. Any issue I had maintenance was out SAME DAY. If I didnt have to relocate for my job I would've continued to stay there. Yes they are old but for the price, I mean come on. It's not like they dont tell you upfront multiple times either. Then I got to walk my unit before I signed anything. You guys rock!
Our townhouse was clean, great layout and there was new carpet throughout. We requested blinds to be fixed in our bathroom and it was done the same day. So far the surrounding neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves. Great location. I would definitely recommend
This is the worst pace ever. The homes are too small, Kitchen counter tops are stained, no proper maintenance and the worst part is the management. All the people working in leasing office especially Kim is so rude that hardly your concern will be addressed. You will be infact insulted. I do not know how higher management has not thought of sacking her. She doesn't have the basic conversational skills. Although rent is less but you will have to shell out money to rectify damage done by previous owners. We had to pay extra 60 bucks for Xfinity internet connection and we also had to install a new shower head since even after complaining them about wastage of water while using shower, they dismissed it saying it is our problem not theirs. They do not care about anyone. Please look for other apts and do not commit a mistake of moving here like I did. I have lived before in other Apts nearby but their management was way better than here.
I've lived here since August and when I moved it in was an absolute nightmare. Nothing was cleaned, the kitchen drawers and cabinets had grease in them and the cabinet doors are falling off the hinges. My first night there my shower leaked into my kitchen. The next week my toilet started leaking into my kitchen. Everything in my basement is held together by duct tape. While having a basement and in unit washer and dryer is a huge plus, I have constant issues with my apartment. I've called maintenance several times about the same issue and they put in a work order, then come to the apartment and "fix" the issue while I'm at work. When I get home, the issue is never resolved. Since the water leakage in my kitchen, I've noticed water spots on my ceiling by my cabinets and when a piece of trim fell off it looked like there was mold underneath. I called the apartment complex and told them my concerns and they came by the next day while I was at work and just wiped it off and told me it was probably adhesive from the trim. Every time I call for maintenance, nothing ever gets completed. I told them I need a new weather strip for the bottom of my door since there is a terrible draft in my apartment, they told me there's nothing they can do about it. The maintenance man who flipped my apartment before I moved in told me he pushed all the cables into the basement and then laid new carpet so I have no cable hook up anywhere besides my basement. I called twice about it and was told to call Comcast as it is there issue, then called Comcast for them to inform me it would be $75 for them to come and run cables but they can't cut through the carpet and floor to push the cables into the living room since that's the apartment complex's property and they can't do anything without consent from the apartment complex. Shocker, the apartment did not approve their request. But they won't send maintenance to cut the carpet and get the cable up since it's not their job. Any time I call, the response I get is "well I don't think we can do anything about that". Why am I paying so much for an apartment if they won't actually fulfill any of my maintenance requests? Unfortunately I'm stuck here until August. But I would not recommend moving here. Nothing is clean when you move in, as it should be and has been in every apartment I've lived in previously, the staff at the leasing office is VERY rude, and nothing ever comes of maintenance requests.
the lady sits inside(her room is left and then straight ) is very rude and disrespectful. not only my opinion tens of people I know they think the same.
Besides the fact that they have lost every work order on my apartment after I mention that it smelled like mold and that they needed to look into it, or how they covered my whole house and everything I owned in drywall dust, or how it took them 4 different times to fix one problem that is in fact still there. Or how the management argued with me about the fact that they had even done any work in the apartment. I can honestly say that I would never in my life make the mistake of entering into a contract with these people.
The the townhomes are not so bad unfortunately is not what I'm looking for. Advantage: is near to main Fwys, University, shoping centers, price is afordable. Disadvantage, the space is not big enough for what I'm looking, the amenities are not so nice I have seen better ones, carports are limited, school district is not so good.
I hope to move in there soon. I just love the environment and community. The staffs and management are all okey. The apartment has many facilities like play ground for kids, swimming pool and many more. The best part of it is that is close to my kids school. The rooms size are perfect too. I just love the neighborhood.
Country side townhomes was my first home of which I grew up in. I lived off of country side cir. Growing up there was some of the best years of my life. The maintenance was wonderful and was always there to accommodate whenever I forgot my house key to get in from coming back from school. Office staff was just as polite even though I was a young child. I am now 24 and looking to live here again here's to hopeing my application goes thru! :D
I had a friend who lived over there and i love your apartments.
