Crestwood Lake Apartments

When my husband and I first moved into this property, we were enamored by its spacious apartments and what seemed like a promising living environment, especially considering the price. Fast forward four years, and the decline has been palpable. Let's talk about the heating system they decided to change. Now, our once cozy apartments feel perpetually cold, and the management's solution? Discouraging us from using the oven to warm up, as if we're expected to freeze in silence or run up the electricity bill to stay warm. Then there's the infestation issue. Rats and roaches have become unwelcome roommates, thanks to poorly sealed radiators and pipes. When maintenance finally made an appearance, they were astounded by the visible gaps, admitting we're probably hosting the basement's roaches. Since the heat reduction, mice have become regular visitors. Despite promises of bi-monthly exterminations, we're mysteriously absent from their list every time. And good luck trying to get management's attention. The office is either empty or conveniently closed without notice. Work orders go unanswered unless you're there in person, demanding attention. After-hours calls redirect to a distant office, where assistance is a distant dream. It's a disappointing spiral, leaving us questioning whether Crestwood even cares about its tenants anymore. For the rent we pay, this place should be at the top of its game, not scraping the bottom. Consider your options carefully. Living here might just be a decision you'll deeply regret.

These reviews are lies and done by management please do not believe them! They suck and their apartments are not worth it. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Their turnover rate Is ridiculous. Do not believe the lies!!! Great reviews written all on the same day. Suspect.!

Crestwood is peaceful clean quiet and full of imd people. Especially Kurt he works on the property and treated me with kindness and love. I deeply recommend Crestwood to everyone.the whole staff is so kind

Calvin was very friendly and helpful. John the porter has came in and helped with the A.c very fast and efficient. Also the supervisor John has done so many good. Amazing staff altogether! Thank you Crestwood lake apartments!!

Lived here most my life. Staff is amazing! The events are always fun for both kids and adults! Events became my kids favorite things.

I moved in recently to Crestwood and am very happy with my new home. Thank you to Mario and Elma for a beautiful apartment. Amber was extremely helpful throughout the process. Henrietta was very welcoming.

I have lived at Crestwood for nearly 11 years. Getting management respond was a hassle in the past but it has gotten worse since the new management took over. Every tenants that I have spoken to have similar problems. One tenants has not have electric power on one side of his apartment for years. My sister's kitchen sink has been leaking for so long. They say the manufacturerdon doesn't make the parts anymore. One family member house is always smelling of gas. She has called, sent emails yet no one has come in to evaluate the problem. They added some charges to my rent with late fees and I have been trying to reach out to them for explanation. You can only reach out through email and no one replies. In the past you can go to the office to talk to someone but not anymore. If you are lucky to get someone on the phone, they don't have answers to anything. They give you email addresses to send your concerns. This is the only management where the office is not open to the tenants or have staff who knows something. Do yourself a favor and look for other place. Don't let the beauty of the outside influence you. I have friends who lived here for just a year and moved out. It is the worse management to deal it. I cannot wait to move out.

I Love living here :) my only complaint would be parking late at night but from where i come frm i dont Mind walking a little bit to get to my apt. The property is beautiful to walk and my apt is HUGE! The staff here are very friendly- Juan frm maintenance is always nice and polite to me. i definitely recommend this place!

Great place to live.It’s quiet, well maintained and great safe place for children.Grounds are well taken care of,parking is easy and accessible apartment is spacious.Apartment was also very clean upon move in.Perfect location with everything I need within 10 minutes drive.Office staff and maintenance staff are very nice and professional.Neighbors are pleasant. We’re happy here!

I have lived here for over a year now and it's a good environment. No one yelling and screaming. We have a lake. Way better than where I used to live. Great area for children to grow up in.

We just moved in to Crestwood Lakes on Dec. 1st. I have to say that I am very pleased with the service and attentiveness that we have received from the very beginning of this application process. Amber & Deana are the best! They’re extremely professional and polite and they see things through to the very end for each and every new tenant. They are very open and pleasant to speak to at all times despite the fact that they have so many tenants to deal with. It takes a special kind of person to be able to handle these types of work loads and these two ladies are superb. I would recommend anyone that is seeking to move here to go for it, despite some of the nasty reviews that you may have read. I, too, was skeptical after reading them but I went for it anyway to see for myself. This place is obviously under new management now. The view is absolutely beautiful from every angle of my apartment. Also, the grounds are well-kept and maintained. It is quiet and peaceful and we can actually sleep at night. I hope this helps anyone who is considering moving in. Just do it!

I am a new tenant and I have to say, I have found every interaction with the staff to be pleasant and professional. That includes - Deana and Amber in the leasing office. Henrietta in the rental office. Davidson, the maintenance guy that repaired my stove handle. (And took measurements bc HE noticed I was missing a couple of screens in my windows.) The carpenter that fixed my door frame. The guy that picks up the garbage, too. Everyone has been kind, helpful, and professional. I have had 2 repairs since moving into the new apartment. While scheduling for repairs is necessary, I found the turnaround time satisfactory. As for the geese poop… it is like walking a mined field some days, lol. But that is my ONE downside for living in a nature rich environment. We have a beautiful lake here. It is a destination for the geese, swans ??, and birds. At night you have a big open sky and the stars are a delight to look at. There are benches set up everywhere so neighbors and friends can chat. Or, for a place to sit and reflect in tranquility. Aside from the whirling sounds of lawnmowers/leaf blowers the property can feel peaceful. Parking is difficult after a certain time in the evening. But with more drivers comes more cars and less spaces available. I have 1 reserved parking space & a garage space, and 3 cars. So anyone that gets home early enough, holds a spot for the last driver that gets home late. As for sound travel, “neighbor stalking”, or lack of privacy… my entire apartment is carpeted (except for the kitchen and bathrooms). So my “quiet enjoyment” is adequately achieved. In fairness to the other complaints made and for future renters, if my experience changes, I will update this review.

I have been living here more than 18 years. If it wasnt good i would have moved long ago. I like our lawns. It’s nice and clean and safe. Easy commute to city.

This is an amazing place to live. I would recommend anyone to live here. I have private parking, my apartment is very nice, neighbors are friendly. My son has friends and plays on the playgrounds. Family friendly, I just wish we have a pool. The staff does a good job.

Quiet community, great area to raise kids. Love how the management staff creates activities on the property for the residents to interact within the community. I would recommend property to friends and family.

There has been a big change in management since I moved into the complex a little over 2 years ago and it’s for the best they are always on top of their game making sure things get done in a timely manner and are always very professional. The complex overall has improved and is always kept well maintained by the staff and the goose population has also been controlled ever since an expert was hired to reduce their presence on the complex.

rats and roaches everywhere, wake up in the middle of the night with the rats all over the house and inside the walls, management sucks they don’t care or listen. had a ceiling on the brink of collapsing at any moment and it took them 3 months before they came to fix it

The ground have really come a long way since I first moved in 6 years ago. The goose populations under control finally! New updated laundry rooms. Very diligent during covid our hallways have been sanitized every day since day one, I have thanked staff members personally when I saw them doing it. Maintenance calls/emails are answered in a reasonable time frame. Updated apartments look amazing I am jealous! We have had issues with roaches, but its the tenants, not management. New staff is very responsive. A little disappointed in the quality of folks moving in... its becoming like Hunts Point...but management has been so understanding and helpful when it comes to arrears. I am just greatful.

Beautiful apartment complex, I’ve been around the area for approximately 18 years my daughter has lived here that long and I enjoyed visiting her , when I finally got the chance to become apart of the community I immediately fell in love it’s like another place of peace such a wonderful experience my grandchildren love it here !

Been living here for 6 years, my experience has been nothing but positive. The staff has always been respectful and courteous. The General manager, Ms. Pena has always taken the time to respond to my inquiries and address them accordingly. In spite of the pandemic, the office staff snd the maintenance together has made me feel safe especially in how my building was kept clean and sanitized. But as residents we should also take the initiative of picking up after ourselves to help maintain our quarters clean when things are spilled over by us. So kudos to the management team for all they have and continue to do in these trying times.

Dirty property have to do laundry in filthy rooms not swept or cleaned. Grass is brown. New manager does not care spoke with her very rude as all staff is.

The staff (Dina)has been so nice to me and my family. While filling out my paperwork the staff "Welcomed" me and the office was very pleasant. I just completed my application process and waiting on my response from the Leasing Office. I am not a resident yet....... but I am hoping to join the community and the neighborhood. Debbie Pivalo

The only complaint I have about this place is if you want to sleep then don't move here! I know they want to upkeep the place but it's ridiculious to mow a lawn a blow leaves practically everyday! And starting at 7am-8am! At least start at after 10am. I wish they were this efficient when it comes to the snow bc they not! I be slipping and falling all over the place! They have a guy that comes prepare the garbage cans for trucks at about 7:30 every morning and is so loud! Now they are fixing apts even on a holiday at 8am!! We work evenings and need to sleep in a bit late in the mornings and we can't!! Other than that everything else is good i gave 4 stars for noise and upkeep bc it is so peaceful at night and the staff is nice and they attend to a complaint in apt fast.. Maintenace guys that come fix inside the apt are nice and great! ...Also they do higher rent every time your lease is up I don't think apt are worth it bc its not luxury its nice but not worth what they charge every renewal of lease. I'm sorry for this complaint I hate doing it but not being able to sleep made me do this i can't take it anymore!

I have lived in Crestwood Lake for almost a year. I have seen every season, seen the mix in cultures and to be honest I really love it. My experience has being very pleasant at Crestwood Lake. The staff in the office are very pleasant, they greet you, ask to assist you and Maintenance is amazing, you call the Emergency number that is provider to you when you move in, someone answers and several minutes later the maintenance gentleman is at your door. Very nice guy too! My building is divided into 4 families meaning 4 apartments. In my apartment we have no roaches and definitely no mice. Everyone around us works, so yes they take care of the properties. I see the geese daily and yes! you see the geese droppings but, is not a big deal and is definitely not much. I rather live with geese outside than mice in my apartment. The only down side to Crestwood Lake is the parking. The parking is horrible especially that my husband gets home in the evenings. He goes around for awhile but, he finds parking eventually. Oh, before I forget I love, love, love that CVS, WING STOP, PIZZA SHOP, DUNKIN DONUTS AND KOHL'S are walking distance from me. Plus my son loves Nathans. He actually rides his skateboards to get food. Our decision to live at Crestwood Lake was a Great one!

Living near a lake has some advantages, fresh air, land to walk on and then there are little neighbors like geese and ducks. I've been able to watch them sit on and hatch their eggs and raise their babies. The apartments are big and comfortable.

The Crestwood lake property manager have the best care team in any emergency situation. The grounds are well maintained in the summer and their garbage removal is state of the art. Need to improve on disposable infront of apartments. Snow removal can be a night mare on the street durning the winter But there snow removal from the walk way is prompt. One of the better place to live in Yonkers.

Loved the layout of the apartment, but the two bedroom was more like a 1 1/2 bedroom (if that). Office Staff was great. Also spoke with a tenant who has been there 18 years. Per Tenant: "Place is pretty quiet and the office staff was "ok". So far, there has not be ALOT to complain about."

The staff here is great !!!! if you have a problem they come fix it in case of after hour emergency they have after hour maintenance .. They keep the grounds, laundry rooms and hallways clean. the heat in winter is awesome and the air conditioner they give you will keep you comfortable in summer. The neighborhood is safe and the neighbors are friendly

Crestwood lakes is a great place for commuters; its close to public transportation and shopping centers. The only con is that the apartments are very small for a high price.
