MICE MICE MICE EVERYWHERE!! Maintenance people terrible! Pest control? What’s that.. wanna eat in your clean home we’ll think again because a mouse might run over your foot. Box of cereal on top of the fridge? Loaf of bread in a bread box? Doesn’t matter the mice will eat through the wood. Want them to get a dead one out of your vent? Good luck.. maggots coming from your vent from a dead one? Think there’s a rush? Nope let’s wait a few days and you can find somewhere else to shower because the smell is so bad oh but wait you’re not from here so you have to also pay for a hotel as well as your rent even though you can’t stay in your own home.. you want to have holes in your clothes and kids clothes then this is the perfect place for you.. holes in every room from the mice infestation despite it being cleaned daily from top to bottom… this is the place for you.. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! IF YOU CAN FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE RUN!! This place should be deemed inhabitable and torn down immediately.
?? ????. This place is a nightmare, from the worst possible parking lot, rampant pest infestation, and strict guest rules and regulations.(Both apartments and townhomes.) The parking is terrible! You only get one reserved parking spot and a parking lot (residents of the neighborhood only) that is always full. Unless you live by yourself you have to find parking for your vehicle sometimes searching around for an hour+ as there never seems to be any empty parking spots. Having guests over is a horrible experience in this place partly due to the atrocious parking Lynn Street offers. If your guest decides to stay over with their vehicle they can receive a visitors pass for which they can park their car overnight there. Doesn't sound too bad until you find out there are only 8 visitor parking spots in this whole entire neighborhood! If you do not have a parking sticker/ pass and park in a spot outside your reserved parking spot YOU WILL GET TOWED. There are bugs here from ants to cockroaches to rats! It does not matter how clean you leave your house you will have unwelcomed guests crawling around in your home. There are rats in this neighborhood, some homes have it worse than others. Not only will you find rats in your home but you'll also find them running around in any of the neighborhood's garbage dumps at night. The pest infestation got so bad that the management's office had to send out letters to every leaser which contained tips on how to keep pest from infesting rampantly in your home. I followed all of the recommended tips and my apartment is spotless yet I still have a constant bug problem. Having guests in Lynn Street is troublesome. Disregarding the atrocious parking visitors have to experience, they (and the leasers) have to abide by the neighborhood guest rules. One of the rules being: - If guests want to stay over night we (the leasers) have to let management/ office workers know that we will have guests staying over (this is an actual rule.) I have family living in both townhomes and apartments in Lynn Street that are experiencing the same exact problems as I am. Please if you have a choice do not live here. Don't be fooled by the cheap rent prices. It is not worth enduring the discomfort, disgust and inconvenience you will feel when living here. My family and I are planning to move out of Lynn Street within the next 6 months, we cannot wait for it to be over. ?? ????. ?? ????. ?? ????.

Lots of roaches. Slugs. No parking. Front office is very incompetent. The proper manager is very racist. She will talk down to you and yell at you in front of staff

Parking was terrible, infestation of roaches, inadequate office personnel. The maintenance team carries the rest of the staff! Only reason we stayed now we own a home in Stafford best decision made don’t throw your money away to this place!!!
Management is unprofessional. Parking is the worst, not enough spaces and you will be towed even if you live there. A total headache/nightmare!
Don't waste your time moving here because the communication with the office staff is terrible. It seems they do inspections every three months. They claim to put letters on your doors but they blow away and will enter your house when no one is home. I've had this happen twice. I complained about it to the managers and nothing happens. It doesn't feel good to come home knowing some strangers have been in your house! The parking is terrible and they took away recycle bins. Now there is only 1 by the entrance. Imagine if you live 4 blocks back?! This place sucks and I can't wait to move. I do not recommend this company at all. I've complained and no one take you serious. Save your money buy a house or rent somewhere else.
Good:Large windows, dog rent isn't too steep, layout is decent. The new security is doing better at monitoring parking (you get 1numbered spot per house and non numbered spots are for additional cars) . GAS STOVE. Location, the road isnt too busy and everything is super close. Maintenance staff is just lovely, and issues are taken care of right away. No bugs or rodents. Office staff is understaffed but very friendly and flexible. We enjoyed working with Nancy. Bad: Holding people accountable- driving too fast in the lot, smoking pot right outside the door (the rank vile skunk smelling pot), needs better ventilation so the cigarette (or whatever else kind) smoke doesn't come in to our apartment when the ac or heat is running (no kind of air freshener gets rid of that). More community activities. Clean up all the broken glass (and why is it there to begin with???) around the grill/pavilion/playground. Need a dog park. The grounds are usually very clean with the exception of the grill area, the grass is always too long except the day of and day after cutting. Not sure of any amenities...love the gas stove. The HVAC system needs improvement- since the smells and smoke of other apartments leach into ours. The walls are decent at keeping noise levels down. We get notices on our door when maintenance staff is/will be doing work in the apt. It's probably one of the better ones in this area for the rent range/approval. We had to get approval based on a single income since I had to leave my job to come here for my husbands job. When our lease is up we will be looking for a 2br, but most likely in this same area. Reviews seem to indicate that people in the townhouses are better off than those of us in the apartment buildings. (And the amenities listed above must be for the townhouses- we do only pay electric and Internet but we don't have cable)
On 02/18/17 my mother's Toyota Sequioa's tires were slashed, my Mercedes Benz tires were slashed, my neighbors brand new Jeep was broken into and sunglasses were stolen and had key marks scrapped along the side, their Chevy had a key mark on the side which was from bumper to bumper, there ford white truck had stab marks in attempt to pop their tires, and a Toyota Corolla had scraps and indentations from a screw driver. VANDALISM, don't waste your money here because you will spend more money fixing your problems. Spoke with property management and Sue told me this is why we have insurance. Someone was walking around with a knife and they take for granted that we are all alive right now because if any of us were outside the time of this crime the suspect would have a weapon and it would have escalated to a murder. FAMILIES ARE NOT SAFE AND VEHICLES ARE NOT SAFE. Not to mention the management is terrible. There is a way better generation of educated beings that have bachelors in hospitality and communications. The office lacks correct formal communication with their residents and are incapable of running a property management facility. They do not care about the safety of their residents.
Parking is savage. The gate house people never answer their phone and are very rude. Maintenance near impossible to get to your house. We've also had a HUGE problem where the water will sometimes smell like rotting fish, so bad we can't stand to be in the house. Other then those listed we haven't had any big problems. But there is also nothing outstanding out this community. Its kind of just "okay."
Sue is terrible. She will yell at you and threaten you. Any issue I've had if she answered the phone she was hateful about getting it resolved. Don't live here. Deserves zero stars
The manager can not talk to residents politely no sympathy, she is not friendly she does listen to no body explanations .She just do what's right for her and very racist.
Reasonable rental prices, well manicured lawn, the buildings are always clean and tgey have property security guards that walk the community. I love my neighbors and the fact that everyone loves my puppy...oh yes, you can have pets. My electric bill can run over 120.00 at times because we keep it on 67° other than that it's great. The only complaint that I have is if you have more than one vehicle, you only get one assigned parking spot and must find a vacant spot on the lot.
I lived at Longview apartments and townhomes for several years before moving to NC to take another job. There were some growing pains early but the manager (Sue) and the maintenance and security folks changed the atmosphere here and made this a good place to live. I moved back to VA in 2010 and lived in Triangle for a year at a less expensive complex thinking I would save some money. What a difference a good manager and maintenance team makes. I am so glad to be back at Longview. They have made improvements with it now being a gated community and fenced in. The same friendly faces of the the management team and maintence team are still here and still making this a good place to live. I pay a little more but it is well worth it for the security and peace of mind I enjoy living here. It is convient as well since it is right off Prince William parkway within 1\2 mile of I95. I plan on staying here until I am ready to go back to NC for good. If you're looking for a place to rent and call home in this area, you should check out Longview Apts and Townhomes, I think you'll be glad you did.
I have been here for seven months. This would be a great place if maintenance wasn't always entering your private space on a regular basis. I am single and I have a problem with this constant intrusion upon my privacy. Another thing, if you are looking for a roomy one bedroom, this isn't it.
