Property Ratings at Aspen Place
This place is an absolute disgrace. You put request in and they answer when it is important enough. They monopolize your water and sewer amount. Every time you renew your lease it will go up $50 or more. There's mold in the bathroom. Ceilings are sagging. Studs are showing through the walls. Cracks in the ceiling and walls. Water is brown and dirty. No water pressure. This place needs to be tore down.
New management/owners are about a joke. I have been here just about 5 years. This laster year of new ownership!!!! I have been battling getting a dishwasher reapiared since June with no Luck. I have a faulty refrigerator that has been down since September and can't seem to get anyone to understand that I literally can't put anything in the fridge or freezer, water pressure is terrible in which my washer faults out in its duty cycle because lack of water flow. I can't shower but have to bath which taked an awful long time to even get half full. I'm ready to file a lawsuit. I'm just straight fed up. Let alone there now new water bill they have implemented that's way over charged. I have family across town paying half of what they are deemanding. People thinking about moving here may i warning you please DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE. You will absolutely dislike being here!!!!
Said it would only take 3 days for our application process ended up taking an entire month. And did not give us an actual reason why we had to have a cosigner. When we decided that we no longer wanted to rent with them they never refunded us the refundable part of our deposit. They also are horrible to try to get in contact with. They never answer and when you have an issue with them they don't pick up the phone or email you back.
To put it simply... New management has taken over and they are worse than the previous owners. If you are fine with requests being ignored and them trying to charge you double sometimes triple then do it. Otherwise look elsewhere, they are "cheap" for a reason. Lack of communication to tenants and only provide band-aid fixes to anything, i am sure that is common but on safety issues it seems wrong. Just a couple examples of my experiences. Took about a month to get our front/back door fixed and it is broken again. There have been some water main breaks (not their fault property needs all the pipes replaced) but the lack of urgency to fix them left us without a working toilet or shower for 3 days. They also tend to get a little crabby when you want to be in your home when they come to fix things. If you do end up renting here while the current management is here get EVERYTHING in writing, take screenshots of everything (rent statements, when you pay, etc.) doing this has saved me many times.
If I put in for any requests, they are handled by Danny in maintenance in a professional and prompt manner. His knows his job and works with integrity. He carries himself with a positive, can-do attitude. This attitude puts me at ease. I know the job will be done right the first time.
I have lived here about two years now and just love it! We have a three bedroom and yes, it's a little small but it is cute. Very affordable and they are fixing them up really nice now, better streets and new sidewalks. They even put in new window shades, new management is doing a really good job of fixing up our beautiful homes.
This complex is old army base housing. Older construction, small bathrooms, but clean and affordable. Complex allows pets. Nice lawns and a play area for children. Recently under new management. Close to amenities and fantastic highway access.
