Property Manager at Avalon Reserve, Responded To This Review
We are thrilled to have earned your 5 stars! Thank you for being our loyal resident for sharing about our wonderful team, location, and amenities.
The staff is completely horrible at handling applications. They would not respond to phone calls and I had to physically make trips to the complex just to ask questions that can be handled over the phone. There's also a great deal of miscommunication between the staff themselves apparently because we've heard multiple and different answers to the same questions. They have these "virtual days" that's basically just them telling people to look at the apartment online but these dates aren't stated on their website and essentially nobody is working on these days so there's no one in the office to talk to. Total waste of time to try and get an apartment here, especially since their wait is 10-12 months and they've continuously extended this. Staff is also rude and very unhelpful towards the process of applying for the application.
I applied for a unit at Avalon last year. I did not get the place, as they say I made too much for two people. I have spent the last 6 months trying to get back the holding fee. I have emailed them which, they have responded to, however it's been more than 3 months. They never pick up the phone, which makes me think they are screening the calls and avoiding me. I can't say anything about the property, as I did not get the opportunity to see it as I am on the west coast, and was relocating. The only thing I can comment is the customer service. It is shoddy, it don't make no sense you leave a message, as they never call you back, and now they don't reply to your email. I plan on making a visit there, as I will be damned if your gonna take my money, and I didn't get the place. You can call them exactly on the hour when they are supposed to open, and they still would not pick up. I'm very disappointed. My star ratings is based on the customer service and not the facility.
This is a nice spot in the neighborhood away from noise and disturbances except when the lawn service does work, which is inevitable. The building faces the woods on one end, so it's peaceful to sit outside on the staircase and enjoy my morning coffee. The neighborhood itself: Possible Cons: Gates at the front of the neighborhood are opened by calling a tenant at a dial-pad near the gate or with a sticker that must be placed on the side of the car for residents(it costs money for the sticker). In order to get into the pool you must pay a $35 deposit(returned upon moving out) to get a magnetic key fob(1 fob). Without it you cannot enter the pool. Residents are given one parking pass for each vehicle registered under a name that is on the lease, but guest parking is available in the back and just near my building. Aside from that though, the pool is fine, complex is clean, family-friendly with a high school and an elementary school just around the corner. There is a dog walking area in the neighborhood just near my building and plenty of space for children or pets to run and play. The maintenance workers are prompt & friendly and the staff always gives proper notice before inspections(Florida minimum is 12 hours). Overall, I'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars!
The landlords are great here! Often check in to ensure me and my family are doing well and have what we need. It is a great suburban for raising a family and is located near great schools and shopping. Most importantly, area traffic is not bad considering it being located in this part of Orlando.
Exccelent location near to shopping,schools,university.
