As the name of the town suggests, East Hartford borders Hartford’s east side, directly across the Connecticut River. Primarily a residential community with a large population of commuters, East Hartford rentals have a lot to offer beyond just a quiet home life. Rentschler Field at the center of town regularly hosts large sporting events (as the home field for the UConn Huskies football team in particular) and concerts. Several large parks and a scenic riverfront provide ample playgrounds for residents to enjoy the outdoors. With Hartford being so close, residents of East Hartford can easily access the cultural resources of the larger city, including the XL Center, Hartford Stage, and XFINITY Theatre.

Property Ratings at Colonial Court
The only thing he cares about is money. Can’t get anything fixed. I moved in here back in 2022. Everyone pays different prices for rent. I’m currently in a 2 bedroom. Neighbors are crazy and will tell lies about you and your pet. Lanlord will harass you and constantly threaten eviction or won’t renew lease. Can’t walk in the grass due to people not picking up after their dogs. Always dodging dog poop. Your neighbors can threaten to kill you n your animal and it’s allowed. People have tried to run me n my dog over for no reason. I keep to myself and don’t know any of my neighbors for my own sanity and peace. It hasn’t been a peaceful environment. I can’t wait to move n never look back.
I’ve moved here back in 2020 out of being desperate to move from previous location. Let me tell you. At first the apartment was nice was redone and modern. But as time went on things started to fall apart. The closet in my kids room was already broken. There are roaches here and I’ve never lived or had roaches in my life. Sends an email about what you owe literally 10 times a day. Been looking for another place to live just so I can get out of here. The people blocking parking and just sit in the middle of the driveway with their car or exiting through the entrance ridiculous. Said heat and hot water included. I get warm water at best. I rather pay my own gas bill for some decent hot water.
Let’s start by saying that I’ve moved there back in 2016. Since then management had neglected most of my request to have maintenance done. The parking was ridiculous as there was favoritism with the spaces. For some reasons my car was constantly being towed for not having a sticker on my car after there were several others without and not being towed, the tow truck driver even made a remark asking the type of work I do to be affording the car I got, which was very rude. If I got on from work and there wasn’t any parking for me ‘ a tenant’ I was told to park on the street as we weren’t allowed to contact the tow truck for cars parked without a sticker. I recommend people to move there and they played them that they broke the lease within two months of moving. I am glad the day I decided to move as it was just too ridiculous living there.
Let me start off by saying I moved in in May and I already hate this place. I hated it from the min I moved in. They lie to you about the condition in which your apartment will be. They showed me a model that was new top to bottom and gave me a dirty dingy apartment. They ignore all requests for services for repairs that should have been done prior to you moving in. The gave me an apartment w broken closet doors, it was super dirty, had roaches which they claimed they did not have and the neighborhood is shady. Makes you feel unsafe the people here are always keeping tabs on you you see them staring thru windows at you but nvr say a word. I want to move out the day my contract expires and nvr look back! Horrible place to live!
