Property Ratings at Camelot East Apartments
They don't care about anything and charge for services they don't provide. They cant keep a property manager to save their life. $20 extra dollars a month for a trash service that don't happen and only have 2 hours to set your garbage out. People work during 6-8 pm at night and those are the only times you can set our trash

Greetings! We appreciate you taking a moment to share your thoughts with us. However, we are disheartened to learn about your concerns with fees. We truly care about our residents and would like to speak with you regarding this matter. Please email us at cameloteast@zidans.com.
Do you yourself a favor and pass on this one.Maintenance is really slow and does a very poor job. The office doesn’t answer the phone the majority of the time nor can you stop in. The grounds are very littered there’s dog poop all over the place because people don’t clean up after themselves. The parking lots noisy with people playing music late at night. The website is deceiving you cannot rent the common space and the pool is very rarely open nor is the gym. I’ve been trying to get information about my deposit for a month. I left the place way better than I found it and still no word about my deposit return even though I fullfilled my commitment for my lease.
Bug problems they rarely attend to. Washing is 1.50 a wash and 1.50 to dry, can only use cards that can only be loaded with 5,10,20 dollar bills. Maintenance is laughable mostly, trash everywhere. Maintenance men just drive around all day on the phone. Response times are NON existent when you have an issue. Pool barely ever open. This place is a revolving door, kids playground is poor and dirty. We have a HUGE hole in our bathroom ceiling from the neighbors flooding our apartment upstairs, gave emailed and called 1000 times, no response. I'm sure black mold is growing now. Dishwasher broke for MONTHS no response. Electrical outlets don't work! No response. RUN RUN RUN! Look some place else, this place is a NIGHTMARE!!!

Our maintenance team strives to address maintenance requests promptly, and we sincerely apologize for the delays you’ve experienced. We invite you to contact our office directly so that we may discuss your review in more detail and work with you to improve your experience.
this place is a joke. they don’t clean apartments and they don’t care about their tenants. good luck trying to get anything fixed in your apartment. Karin in the front office is rude and lies about everything. Chelsea, the HEAD OF THE COMPLEX is just as bad. They won’t reply to your emails unless you annoy them and then they say “we will make sure this is done” and then it’s never done. I have never had so many problems in an apartment and worked with such unprofessional people. They need to go back to school and learn customer service.

I'm a cancer survivor, wanting to rebuild my life, and thought coming back to Camelot would be a good place to start.. I WAS WRONG! I lived here back in 2010-2012 and it was great. Came back in 2017 and it was horrible. They apartment they first gave me had flood damage and smelled horrible.. So they moved me into another apartment.. Just to find out there was black mold everywhere (building had water leak issues). Had a water main burst in my in my ceiling in the bathroom.. Took them 3 visits to fix. When they patched the ceiling.. They sanded all the dry wall and left the white dust all over my bathroom and didn't even clean it.. After not feeling well for a few months, kept finding black mold in the apartment.. I couldn't take it anymore.. So I had to get a note from my doc stating it was bad for my health to live there and advice them to let me leave.. Showed it to them and they let me go (wanted a 60 day notice at first... like really?!). Finally got out of there.. and they wouldn't even give me my deposit back. This place is horrible.. If you're reading this and still considering move here... There is something wrong with you.

John, it’s disappointing that your second time at Camelot East didn’t meet your expectations. We understand how important it is to provide our residents with a comfortable place to call home, so we apologize if you feel that was not the case. While the water main break was out of our control, we did everything we could to have the issue fixed in a timely manner. If you would like to further discuss your experience with our team, please give us a call or stop by our office.
They don't care about how the community looks, there is trash everywhere and never in the trash where it should be, glass always in the parking lots, they never finish work orders. Look somewhere else!

Roaches, and wasps. Broken windows, and ac that never works. And a “okay we’ll put you on the list” response every time. Second summer here with no air conditioning. Definitely will be the last.

RUN! This apartment takes advantages of younger renters. Their staff are rude, the property manager never called me back after 4 calls. The last time I called they hung up on me and told me to "google and figure out myself" their propery management company. They are unethical and their staff behavior is unacceptable. I have still yet to hear back from the complex and the property management company after 2 weeks.

We've been living in a 2 bedroom for the past 2 years and they're asking too much for what you get. We pay a little over $900 a month for a"newly renovated apartment" which consists of new cabinets and a painted over bathtub (which started peeling after the first month and maintenance told me to start cleaning my tub with Dawn dish soap instead of tub cleaner??) We don't even have washer/dryer hook ups and there are apartments in the area that offer such amenities at a better price. The ladies in the front office aren't on the same page, as there was an issue where people's money orders and checks for rent were stolen October of last year. The ladies upstairs told us we were fine and I gave them the references they needed for court to punish the thieves, however a few months later I had an eviction notice on my door stating that I had not paid my rent (I have never missed a payment or been late.) When I confronted one of the women downstairs she stated that it was true and we had a few days to get the money together. Eventually all was resolved, but it is very frustrating that all of the employees in the front office cannot be on the same page.

This past June I was in the Ohio, this was on the places I had planned to check, while I didn't see any of the units at the time wasn't sure when I would be able to move, based on the one review that has been posted I had a nutty problem with them. Since I am in an odd spot I didn't know when exactly I would be able to move. And I made this very clear to them. So around July or August I kept getting emails from these people try to convince me to come down and rent a unit. The problem was I was not even ready, and when I contacted them about this in the first place that part when in one ear and out the other, after I had to rise "my voice" a little telling them I will be in contact when I am ready, the person who was sending these emails somehow took offense to it and said they would take me off there mailing list. I tried to tell them why it had to be the way I had laid it out but it appeals the person wouldn't even listen, while this is only 1 review from what the person said I can see exactly why he is coming from. And if I am going to relocate from NY to down here it has to be right not some place from what this person is saying, these people are begging to be cited, fined or even force to sell. I was about to give this clowns a 2nd shot but after reading this review just turned me off 100%.
Two problems in our building, gotta pay for water and not set up handicapped people. Otherwise, everything is good
While on the cheaper side for Fairfield, this is a case of you get what you pay for, and you aren't paying for a good apartment at Camelot East. I had to call the City of Fairfield on them before they would fix my deck (the board where rotted clear through). They take days to come fix anything (called Sunday for a broken dishwasher, they didn't fix it till Friday). While they list hours for Saturday, they will never pick up the phone, so you have to walk down if you want answers on a Saturday (closed Sundays). Air conditioner broke Friday, despite calling the emergency line (and it being in the 80's) it didn't get fixed till Monday. You will receive "final notices" for stuff that you never received a "1st notice" for (like when they changed water companies.) Oh and you'll have to pay for water here too, along with electric. And if you are running a month to month lease, expect multiple rent increases a year and a whooping $300 (up from $75 a month) month to month fee. There are plenty of fish in the sea, find one that doesn't stink quiet as bad as this place does.
