Property Ratings at Churchland Forest
Price, full 2baths, size, closet space is good. But after living here for 5 years and being treated like we do not matter is their downfall. Property Manager Sandy is horrible and will not try and work with you under any circumstances, there is mold everywhere along with bugs. They do not up keep anything from the stove to the capers that are supposed to get cleaned every yr. They try to fast fix a problem and blame you for everything. It’s a nice neighborhood but getting a little unsafe since i lived here. Kids smoking weeds in the hallway, break in of cars and their playground is a hot mess, so there is really no where for young kids to play beside the street. You basically just get the connivence of being close to stores and the price is great for what you get but that’s it. They need to exterminate all the apts because everyone of my neighbors has complained to them about a bug problem and nothing has been done. If I could do it over again and wasn’t in a rush, I honestly wouldn’t rent here and have only stayed until I finished my degree. I don’t recommend at all.
Churchland Forest was a great place to help me purchase my new home. With 2 kids and one income, it was difficult for me to find a place large enough. The 2 baths, washer and dryer hook up and space was what tipped the scales for us. We enjoyed living there. Maintenance was great. Office staff changed a lot but overall 4.5 stars.
Property Manager at Churchland Forest, Responded To This Review
So glad your stay here at Churchland Forest was a good experience and you were able to save enough for a house. Tell all your friends that are looking for a new home to check us out. Good Luck in the future and your new home.
Do not rent here worst apartment I've ever had. The staff is unfriendly and not willing to help you. I was military I gave my separation orders to the office and was told I was ok. Now I'm being sued by them years later. This place also has gigantic bugs that
I would rate my experience with Churchland Forest 3 out of 5 stars. When we moved in, we viewed another apartment and not the one we were moving into. What we discovered were old windows that needed to be replace. I went against what I would normally do (view the actually apartment, not site unseen). Even though they make you sign a clause they weren't aware of mold, the window seals were visible of mold due to water leakage. They were replaced a few months after we moved in. STRIKE ONE. During the summer, no matter how clean you keep your home, there are water bugs that may frequent your home. We came home one day to a sticker on our door indicating someone came to spray our apartment. They are frequent during the summer days and since there are cracks/openings in an old building as this, you can't avoid them. STRIKE TWO. If it wasn't for those two factors, I would give it a 5 star rating.
I came to see a new cowoker of mine who sister lives here. She gave me a tour of her apartment. I was amazed, shocked, and floored all at the same time. I thought she would have at least be paying $1500 in rent just to discover it was way less. What you get living here is not just an apartment you get a home. With the economy at a low and jobs not paying much, living here would put your mind at rest with the cost. Being a single mother and having low income, you dont have much of a say in what you can afford. This place is a gift from heaven. Your family can live with out being cramped, and taking turns using one bathroom drives me nuts. Its a blessing to have a washer and dryer in your home, and you bet a patio and storage. Im going to apply here before my lease is up. Its a long drive to Virgina Beach to work but the peace of mind and space i'd get living here would be priceless. Love it so much it gave me butterflies like i was on a date with my highschool crush. Im a 35 yr female so i havent felt that in over 16 years. Im so inlove with Churchland forest.
This apartment has 2 full bathrooms and a walk-in closet. The living room has a high ceiling which gives it an elegant look.
