I highly recommend CitySide. It's a great place to live, clean and well maintained. The location is fantastic, providing easy access to everything you need. The leasing office is amazing , especially Anne, who goes above and beyond to assist residents. The maintenance staff is incredibly responsive and always so nice. Truly a fantastic place to call home!
I am so happy living at Cityside! The quality of life here is high. What sets is apart, in my opinion, is the amount and quality of amenities and services--from exercise classes, to social gatherings, to quick-response and resolution to maintenance or any other issues. In my 2+ years here, anytime I've had any issue---it has been addressed quickly and the staff truly cares about resolving issues. I've lived in many condos and apartments over the last 20 years, and feel the service and people providing it to be exceptional here.
So far, staying here as an international student has been great and efficient. The staff here are very welcoming and kind and helped me out a lot during the moving procedures. Services needed for appliances or whatnot are excellent. The ActiveBuilding app lets you schedule your appointment services at any time you want. Another thing I like about this place is how secure their mailing room and garage are. Other than mentioned above, the apartment is spotless, and their hallways are always smelling fresh and clean. The apartment is also close to the Downtown area. Has a lot of restaurants, close to two grocery places (Publix & Wholefood), Banks, Beaches, etc.
It’s an absolutely beautiful place to call Home. Every detail about this building was created with a deep thought of what would people who live here find useful and pleasurable. All the staff members are friendly and highly professional. My daughter and I created so many wonderful memories living at CitySide Apartments. It’s a truly special place. ??

I moved into CitySide in Nov 2021. It's a fantastic place to live. Residents are friendly and welcoming. Staff is helpful in every way. Everyone is nice. Maintenance is impeccable. I never see any kind of garbage, dirt, junk etc anywhere. Pool is beautiful including the private dog park. They have lots of fun things to do, i.e. concerts, food truck, free brunch on Sat. It took me awhile to get in. That is because Noone leaves! Highly recommend.

I love being a resident at Cityside! From the moment I walked into the lobby and was greeted with warmth I knew that this was going to be our new home. The management is truly amazing and they go above and beyond to make sure that you are happy. The cleanliness is such a high priority and I appreciate that as a resident. Beautiful grounds, quiet, pleasant neighbors, wonderful events and amenities. What more can you ask for. I feel blessed to have found this gem that I now call “home” in downtown Sarasota.
Not a place to live for younger people to live in. Should really only consider if you are older and retired. Very nice amenities, however you can only use them if you abide by very strict rules. If not, you can expect exorbitant fines in addition to the already very expensive rent.

The building is new, beautiful and well maintained. The staff runs the building like a five star resort. They are so attentive. When I arrived at the start of my lease I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. When I awoke I found that Tamera, who is the leasing manager had personally taken all of my packages that arrived just prior to me and stacked them at my door. You can’t beat that dedication. Some of those boxes were very heavy. This has been a boon. I would give ten stars if I could.
I recently retired and moved from Virginia to CitySide and I could not be happier. The building and grounds are clean and well maintained. Any issues are resolved quickly and completely. The amenities can't be beat to include a great fitness center and pool, numerous events (like art or dance lessons) to get out and meet your neighbors, and even valet trash pickup! The entire staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and everyone will go out of their way to help you out. And its all in a great location, an easy walk to numerous shops and restaurants. I wouldn't live anywhere else in the Sarasota area!
I have lived in the building for about 3 months now and just love it! The location is amazing with downtown food and bars within walking distance or a short uber ride if its raining. The Van Wezel waterfront park is literally at the end of the road so you can catch sunset every night. The staff is incredibly helpful and polite. The amenities are always clean and little treats like breakfast and monthly socials just highlight the living here. The difference is the ownership is local and are here regularly checking on operations and insuring things are running beautifully as they pre-construction sell their new modern condos next door. I could not be happier with my selection of communities to live down town.

We have been here for a few months and couldn't be happier. The amenities are wonderful (especially the BBQ & breakfast!). The staff are fantastic and helpful, and the building is secured and patrolled. We are close to everything we care about downtown and work, nothing bad to say!
CitySide is the perfect mix of resort-style ambiance and city living. I, too, moved in here March 2017. The staff couldn't be more courteous and helpful. There's nothing like walking into the lobby and being greeted by name. Maintenance requests are handled immediately. I do feel secure. There is always someone at the desk and the front door is locked each evening. All other entrances and exits are routinely locked and require a fob for entrance. We have had some issues with the garage gate, but while it was nonoperational security staff were onsite every night to assure our safety. I live on the first floor and have a street view. It isn't serenely quiet - it's a city! You don't move into a city for peace and quiet. I do prefer facing the street rather than the pool. To each his own. The gym, the complimentary programs and Saturday continental breakfast are added perks. During Hurricane Irma, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Some of us had no power, some had partial power, some had all power. That had nothing to do with CitySide and everything to do with Mother Nature and electrical crews. CitySide provided us with food and beverages in a model apartment that had power. We were invited to charge our phones, work on our laptops, do our laundry - anything that required power. I couldn't be happier and plan to make CitySide my home for a long time.
I have owned many homes, lived in rentals/temporary housing in the US and aboard, and decided to rent downtown in November. I picked CitySide and have not looked back. For an ultra convenient, quality-focused, hassle-free, immaculately maintained, urban living experience in Sarasota, CitySide is your place. The entire team here is great and truly wants you to have a top-notch living experience. I highly recommend it.
If you are looking for the perfect place to live, where you are close to downtown, the shops, the Opera, the Selby Library, Van Wezel Performing Arts and dozens of wonderful shops and restaurants and other venues too many to name, Cityside is the place to be. And not only is it in a perfect location, it is a stunningly beautiful complex with lots of amenities. We have one of the most beautiful pools I have ever seen. Our exercise room is state of the art. We have lots of great programs that are presented on a regular basis, like yoga, Zumba and Tai Chi. And we have an excellent staff who are always pleasant and glad to help with anything you need. And we even have kayaks that can be taken out and bicycles that can be signed out. And to top it off we have a wonderful mix of age groups, people working in diverse fields, people happily retired and people enjoying raising their families in a friendly welcoming place. And of course we have some wonderful pets living among us too.

Love the amenities! There's more stuff offered here than I can ever take full advantage of. I'll make it into one of the weekly free yoga classes one of these days.... Love the mixers they put on as well. I've never lived in a place that facilitates such a social atmosphere!

Living at CitySide is a no brainier - the long list of amenities make it feel like I live at a resort, on top of the amenities, the location is ideal and makes going downtown a breeze. Between the complimentary fitness classes, the 24 hour fitness center, and the walk-ability - i feel as if i'm in the best shape I've ever been in my life. The management staff is so helpful and service forward. Thank you CitySide for making my transition from out of state a breeze and making me feel at home in Sarasota!
I love living here. The amount of care and effort the staff puts into the property to make it home is unbelievable. I am happy to live here, close proximity to everything, yet it feels like an oasis. Thank you CitySide, for everything!
We moved into CitySide in March 2017 expecting to live a nice, quiet lifestyle and to meet new friends. We had anticipated living here for two years but decided to move out after one year. We made the mistake of renting a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment on the 4th floor (top floor) that faces the pool. The pool is party place central for the not -so- grown -up tenants who live here and their invited guests and every noise is heard in our 4th floor apartment. Furthermore, when we moved in we were told the pool closes at 8:00 PM; it is now 10:00 PM and that is not enforced. We have been subjected to loud music, shouting and screaming in the wee hours of the morning. We suggest you do NOT choose a pool facing apartment. For a new building, the windows are cheap, do not insulate against noise or water condensation. We have had mold and mildew on the window sills and around the window frames. A Germicidal UV light was recently installed in the HVAC unit and the light penetrates through the metal closet door slats brightening the kitchen like the Starship Enterprise. Security is an issue in the parking garage and in the hallways. There are no cameras monitoring the doorways from the garage to the hallways. On any given day there are unauthorized cars parked in the garage. During the day, the front lobby doors are open and anyone can enter the building. If there is no rental agent at the front desk, anyone has access to the elevators to the apartment floors. There is no professional management company assigned to the property. The developer of the building has hired his own team of run the place - the manager does not work nights or weekends. We experienced a lack of management during hurricane Irma in September 2017 - parking in the garage was a free for all, we had no electrical power for 5 days, no generator, no emergency hallway lights, no working elevator. After a year, the building is still working out too many kinks, including the fire alarm system. Living here is like living in Melrose Place or a Frat House. The young leasing agents live here and fraternize with the tenants who prefer the party lifestyle. The apartment building is located in downtown Sarasota where there are plenty of bars and activities, but CitySide's mission is to provide an urban lifestyle, which translates to liquor, loud music and free food. If you are a mature grown up who prefers a quiet lifestyle, CitySide is not the place for you.
