I lived in this neighborhood for a number of years. I could write a book on why it's bad. I'm writing this because I feel people need to be warned. Today there was a news story about a young man who shot someone else in the chest here. But honestly that's not the first time something like this has happened here. This isn't a safe place to live. I went out of my apartment many times to have men harassing me, a gas line explosion in my building, someone shot out of the apartment behind mine and the cops came to my apartment to see if I was okay. I know of at least 5 people being killed here in the past 10 years. They put window units in the wall so mold grows in and on your wall. They take forever to fix things or don't do it at all. The rent is super high here for what you get. The photos on this site a photoshopped. If you have no pets you will also get fleas that will eat you in the summer. If you value your health a safety, stay away. You can find a better place with cheaper rent elsewhere.

Renter beware. Within a week of moving in I have experienced: My dog getting fleas for the first time ever, likely from taking him on walks around the complex, a broken dishwasher that after being fixed, still doesn't even clean the dishes and just leaves them hot and wet, outlets dangling out of the walls, a sink that was installed incorrectly, radiators that don't turn off regardless of thermostat settings, overpriced internet that never works for more than 3-4 hours at a time, and a toilet that can't even flush properly. Only after writing a stern email to the front office did any of this get taken care of. The front office staff is very nice and patient, and the maintenance team I'm sure is doing the best they can. But you get what you pay for. Biggest redeeming quality is the proximity to Eastgate Towne Center.

Tried to raise my 6 month lease renewal $300 more than the last, Internet always had trouble that took weeks/months to fix, only option was them or 3mb/s from Cincinnati Bell. Complaining only got you lied to. Pool wasn't open the whole year, and they are still raising rent. Only good thing about them was they were good at managing in-apartment repairs in a timely manner. Other than that, nothing positive to say.

They are money hungry and the Internet never works and they literally don’t care about anybody that lives here. They just hike up the rent every year. You can rent a house for the same price as a small one bedroom.

The apartments are neatly kept. Maintenance is quick to respond to complaints, usually the next day. Prices are very fair on the apartments. Noise is very low. And grounds are kept clean by staff. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful.

I previously lived at Eastgate Woods for 18 years and I enjoyed my stay very much. I lived in several different buildings over the years and met a number of very nice neighbors. The price is good and the staff is professional and helpful. They always try to be friendly and helpful in any number of situations (both good and bad). I recommend Eastgate Woods. There's a reason there is only one review on here. One time I left a bad review on their facebook page (bc this place tried to charge me for four months for the previous residents electric bill) and the property manager, Bryan, called me and asked what he had to do for me to take it down. This place is mold invested, the internet service I pay $50 a month for doesn't work, and there are drug dealers everywhere. This isn't a joke, Don't live in Eastgate Hood. I was from KY so I had no idea what I was getting into. This place is cute at first until you live here for two months and smell marijuana everyday and get your car silly stringed by neighborhood hood rats. Oh and the women in the office are horrific. This apartment complex inspired my first bad reviews online so I hope that influences your decision. Happy apartment hunting!

We lived here for 2 years, the first few months were great, they fixed whatever needed to be fixed right away. After the first couple months, everything went downhill from there. Our apartment flooded 3 times, yes 3 times! It took them 2 weeks to come fix the leaks so they just kept leaking and water went everywhere. The main flood happened when it poured down outside and it also took them forever to come dry the carpet. We moved out a couple months ago, so we were waiting to get our deposit back($450)! Nope, didn't get our deposit back, not a dime, instead, they are making us pay $500 to replace the carpet(after it flooded 3 times), making us pay for bed bug decontamination(I called many times and they never came back to decontaminate the apartment for the 2nd time), making us pay for them to paint the walls(the walls weren't even painted when we moved in in 2015). All in all, this place is the absolute worst place to live and I will NEVER recomend this place to anyone. Also, our car got broken into 2 times and they wouldn't file a report for us. Our front door also almost got broken into but my husband scared them off! All the office people are the rudest people in the world, I can't stand the old lady that works up there, some of them are okay but the majority of them are just horrible and rude!! Anyone who is even considering moving into this place, PLEASE read my review! Thanks y'all! They don't even deserve 1 star.

Very nice quiet neighborhood. Everyone seems friendly including the people in the office. If there are any problems to your apartment they are very fast acting upon getting it fixed. I absolutely love it here! Rent is affordable and the lawn is kept perfect. Very peaceful place to live. I highly recommend it.

I am A current resident going on 3 years here. This morning I was awoken to pounding outside my apartment. I live on the third floor so would not be expecting a man standing on my balcony while I am not dressed. I freaked out and he freaked out. I called the office to find out what is going on. The girl that answered the phone was polite and professional but said hold on and let me get you someone. Then Gary came to the phone, the property manager. This is not the first time I have encountered this man. He is vulgar and unprofessional. Yes I was upset over the incident having been woken up and seeing someone looking in my third floor window, I was not calm but did not expected to get yelled at and cussed at by management. I am a 50 year old adult and to have so one insensitive as to the situation is beyond me. He says he has worked here for 30 years, that may explain why the reviews for this place are always so bad. I asked for the main corporate # and he refused to give it to me and said look it up. Well I did and I will be contacting an atty as well. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I do not want to live in a place that has so little respect for the people that keep them in business.
Cabinets under sink have shattered from one use, wall has turned BROWN from water damage, both car and apartment broken into multiple times, roads VERY slim, people have written on walls with sharpie and maint. thought one coat would kill that. The entrance off shayler is so slim i dont bother to go into there anymore, almost got hit daily for a week. 30 days into lease apartment got broken into, 90 days into lease car got broken into. seriously not a safe neighborhood. air conditioner left on for three days and now the whole wall is brown due to water damage im sure was painted over too. maint. didnt check apartment well as the lovely teenage pregnancy folks before us wrote all about their love under the windowsil. the support between two cabinets under the sink has cracked. there are holes in the floor in the kitchen where earwigs (yeah! EARWIGS) and mice come in. hole in wall where prev. renters slammed open door now has what looks like a white plastic pet frisbee in the way, all cracked. mysterious cracks in wall that look like a painted over access panel by thermostat. all paint washes off with a warm rag. fire detector goes off everytime we use the oven (what is it detecting that we cant is a lovely mystery for me and my lungs) Highest pet rent dep. levels in whole state. walls and windows paper thin. one washer/dryer for every six units. fruit flies very common here (dont even have fruit yet) positive notes: staff friendly, handled all the break-ins with a canadian level of compassion. maint. requests not so much. 9/10 times theres a parking spot. elderly residents quiet. these kids though. also havent seen an ant. neutral notes: pool pass is for the duration of your stay instead of monthly (of course ive lived in places that just included it sooo) will update if my maint. issues are addressed in a timely and free manner. i will give them a benefit of a doubt because i havent reported any of these concerns as i havent gotten unpacked. its hard to do when people are stealing your stuff and your things are better off in cardboard boxes than with the earwigs.

this is the worst place I have ever lived.. they don't want to fix things.. they say there is no problem, that is the way it is supposed to be.. or you are doing something to make the problem. they don't take care of the snow and ice removal i have almost fell many times when i asked about it they informed me that they already did it. they didn't this year they actually threw down a few hands full of salt. not enough , but, better than last 2 years. i have had mold in my apartment since i moved in.. i told them about it .. they said that the caulking that they put over the mold in the tub was a special kind that would kill the mold.....yea, right, it did not my tub had bad dirt ring in whole tub at move in.. they said it must be from me, I don't take baths, only showers. my windows and sliding door leak so much air and get mold and moisture in them. they told me that there is not a problem with them, that is just the way these windows are. and I just need to clean them out every few days?????? my toilet gets mold in it about every 4 days, if you close the lid it is worse and the lid will also mold. they explained to me that I just didn't know how to clean it, I need to clean under the rim too. I explained to them that I know how to clean it , but, it just keeps coming back. they offered to send someone over to clean it???? i asked what good that would do.. they finally replaced it, but, the new one does the same thing. you have to leave open the sshower curtain open or it molds really bad. i got my computer bag out of the dining room and it had mold on it they told me I must have spilled something. i told them i didn't, then it must be someone else. i got something out of my closet and it has mold on it. again they insisted someone spilled something.. i live alone, go figure.... my air conditioner in the bedroom is os bad that you can hear everything outside just like the window was open. it leaks so much air that that I have to keep plastic around it. the air rattles the plastic . if you don't cover it you can't stay in there.. they told me it was fine everything was the way it is supposed to be .. the mold is making me sick ...I am looking for somewhere else to move. i have to listen to dogs barking every time someone goes in or out , night and day. they say they can't have a buliding without pets for us who don't want to hear it.. we have had such a high turnover rate.

This is a Beautiful place to live. Rent is affordable. They have 24hr Maintenance. If anything needs fixed no matter what it is they are there to fix it right away. There is a big beautiful pool with a lifeguard on duty. They have the grounds beautifully landscaped.There are two lakes that you can fish . the lakes are full of fish. I caught a 13lb. Large mouth bass and a 11 lb. bass last summer. I have caught catfish that weighed up to 30 lbs. The laundry rooms were remodeled last year they each have four washers and four dryers. The complex is located very close to shopping. the mall is 5 minutes away along with the major expressway Peaceful living with everything you need just five minutes away.
It's the cheapest place to rent on the Eastside of Cincy, Hands down!
These apartments get very mixed reviews even from my own friends (20 ) have lived in this complex, a few of which have children. but its all on how you treat your neighbors. My building is super quiet. The only thing I don't care for is that some of the buildings have a wall unit A/c and some have central. and there are a ton of price points for small changes so its hard to know what your rent will be until you actually pick one. Plenty of parking for you/friends
A beautiful complex with a Bavarian village feel. Entering the area is like going to Europe. The buildings are well maintained, the staff courteous and helpful, following up on any problems to make sure a satisfactory resolution was reached. Though close to major highways, shopping activities, it is still a quiet, shaded piece of relaxation.
I just moved in to this apartment a couple weeks ago with my new wife and it has been awesome. The apartments are in great condition, very clean, and have a great neighborhood. Even better are all the nearby stores and restaurants which make daily errands very convenient. We both feel very much at home in our new place and would definitely recommend it to our friends.
