Property Ratings at Fairview Village
This place is awful! I had to live with cockroaches for 2 months because my neighbors are nasty. That was followed by massive water damage that ruined most of the clothes in my closet. All i was given was a weak "we're sorry" after ruining about 2500$ worth of clothes. Also my friend who also live here had his car stolen out of the parking lot. Do yourself a favor dont live here!
Don’t live here. I have been here 5 years 3 were ok. in the last 2 I have had a insane cockroach infestation from my dirty neighbors and now a leak from upstairs ruined my whole closet of clothes and all I got was a sorry. not to mention my friend who also lives here had his car stolen. they don’t care about their tenants don’t live here.

Good Afternoon: Thank you for taking time to leave a review of your experiences with our community. We strive to provide well-maintained, quality apartments that the residents can be proud to call home. We were notified of the water leak in question on 8/10; Maintenance was dispatched the same day and repaired the leak in the apartment above. Maintenance offered a blower to assist in the drying process, which was refused. Maintenance returned to check on the leak on Monday to confirm the repair solved the problem. The next Tuesday, the painters cut out the drywall, treated the affected areas and started repairs. The drywall could not be fully closed up and repaired until the area was thoroughly dry. These repairs were completed on 8/15. The bedroom and closet carpeting was cleaned by a third-party vendor on 8/20. With regards to pest infestation, we have not received any recent issues from the resident within the past year, and we have reached out to confirm if pest treatment is needed presently. The Fairview Village team has responded promptly and, although an inconvenience, we resolved the leak issue within an expected timeframe. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Office immediately at 440.331.1551. Thank you, again, for your review and for calling Fairview Village Apartments home. - Your Fairview Village Team
Elevators are always broken down, water leaks in the stairwell leading to fall risk, ALWAYS construction going on with no notification of such. The construction is often extremely loud and starts extremely early in the day. There are no efforts to push starting time later even for residents who work nights and sleep during the day. You are basically told to deal with it.
I just moved into this apartment on May 1st and it is the worst apartment I have ever rented. They stated we can check out videos of the apartments on youtube. They purposefully did not have pictures of the kitchen snd the bathroom in the video. The kitchen is very dated and they did the bathroom was not cleaned before the move in.

First I’d like to say I’ve leased here once before back in 2009-2010 I believe. Although I had a pleasant experience, I was told that all apartments were being updated then and that has clearly not happened. I am currently leasing a 2 bedroom apartment with approximately 1000sq ft of Living space. The entire apartment has the feel of an old 1970’s show. Kitchen cabinets are dull and are on their last leg. The vanity in the main bath is swollen and musty smelling from the years of water issues. Appliances are not energy efficient and outdated and continue to pop breakers for some reason. Also, to quote the maintenance manager the plumbing lines, “burp” back into your bathtub. Leaving what appeared to be raw sewage and maggots ( one to be exact). Said it happens especially on the first floor. Moving on, apartments are supposed to be freshly painted and their not, they touched up with the same color paint throughout my apartment and there was visible discoloration on the ceiling /walls when I moved in.. Speaking of painting don’t be surprised if two unattended 15 year old kids show up to your door to paint because that who they sent after my apartment was flooded from an upstairs tenant. They proceeded to splatter paint on my dinette set, curtains, curtain rod, television, carpet. Even after I provided and laid down plastic in areas I believed they’d be working. Rather then move the plastic, they just painted away because again their 15-16 year old kids. All these things are well documented both by myself and Zaremba management. I have pics and video and even a thank you letter from the 15 year old for allowing him the use of my plastic.. Recently after the second flooding and botched work I was told the painters would be out to resolve painting issue in master bed/hallway and bath once things have,”dried out”........ That was almost a month ago. Finally after a drippy faucet, a $300 light bill ( from commercials dryers and humidifier) I had enough. So I sent in a review and low and behold I get offered a whopping “$75 one time credit.” It’s almost laughable. There are of number of other things I could mention but I’m sure you get the point. I’m totally dissatisfied and disappointed in the staff and management here. By the way I’ve only been here 3 months, Yayyyy!! 9/20
I just renewed my lease. After living 40 years in a single family home, this was my first experience with apartment living. Yes, it may be a little dated but it is kept up. Any problem I have had, maintenance has promptly (within days for non-sensitive issues)fixed to my satisfaction.. The new upgraded apartments are absolutely beautiful. They have complimentary transportation to grocery, Walmart and Great Northern mall. The bus driver is great. The office staff knows all the residents and are very helpful. They also have planned social activities--movies, game nights, midweek bingo, ice cream social, resident appreciation dinner and BBQ's. The pool area is fantastic. Lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas for those who aren't swimmers. It is like a resort. My building is extremely quiet. I have never heard a sound from the neighboring apartments or those above me. I love the balconies. The large sliders make the apartment bright and appear more spacious. I have found the other tenants to be friendly and helpful. It is located on two RTA bus lines that make it super convenient if you don't drive or don't want to drive. They provide service 20 hrs a day 7 days a week. The location bein across the street from the MetroParks is another plus. I hope they keep up the good work.

Clean great very nice staff members its the Best thank you.
This is a very nice place. My wife and I are in our early 60's and have downsized from a home with a large yard. We have a lovely 5th floor balcony overlooking a nice courtyard, the grounds are kept up and improved constantly, and the maintenance and office people are very nice. The pool area is very nice; with new lounge chairs and tables, almost like a resort, and has a tennis court and a gas grilling setup nearby. The work out room has just been upgraded and the staff hold free parties for the residents. There is a large party room available and a smaller one in each of the four buildings. Altogether I love it here. The Metropark system is right across the street and is a real treat. Everything is nearby and convenient. Very nice living here.
I wouldn't be in this place if it wasn't for Apartments.com. It was the very first place that showed up upon my search and ended up being the best one for me after other potential places. It's nice and quiet, but you feel like a part of a small village on the grounds. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
I am a mature but young at heart person starting over in life (okay 3rd time starting over) and needed to find a place that felt welcome and safe but not staid. Upon meeting with a Zaremba Management leasing consultant, and touring the Fairview Village apartment complex, I felt that I had found that zen space. The grounds are lovely with unexpected but delightful visits from deer wandering up from the Metro Parks System down the hill, and the pool is heavenly. Looking forward to using the newly renovated work-out room when summer is over. Big bonus is that Fairview Village is so close to Hopkins Airport!
I have enjoyed living here. Maintenance responds quickly, the community is quiet, and the office staff know you by name.
I lived here 6 years and have seen the place go down hill over 6 years. For the price you pay, everything is outdated. The wiring is old so That I'd you get ATT for internet, DSL (it very very slow) the att guy told the wires are very old in this building that was why could not get u verse. My appliances and ac are from early 80's. The only thing new is the dishwasher. That's because mine broke. I waited 8 months to get a new one installed. The only reason I got it was because after 8 months and constantly going to the office to complain about the stale stagnate water that was in it. I threatened to call the health department and show the moldy water that was in this. I finally got the new dishwasher. About 2 years ago they got a new manager who decided to start taking on fees. That was when everything started going downhill. She turned it into section 8. However they do not take section 8 but everyone swears the residents are on section 8. That the appearance anymore.
Fairview Village used to be a really amazing place to live. I lived here 5 years ago and I never had a problem. I think I had to call the maintenance staff just once for a minor issue. Sadly, 5 years later the quality of so many things have went down considerably. First, back in winter time I had a water pipe leak.so they had to create a hole to fix it. Which they didn't quite even fix. (That hole was never fixed either..and will play a role in future issues). Fast forward a few months. I now have Carpenter Ants, yes Carpenter Ants. (These ants are attracted to moisture for those of you who might not know.) I live on the 6th floor..I shouldn't be having any at all, especially being on the sixth floor. I have called for them to take care of it. They have been here 4 times without the problem being taken care of. I still have ants..and now they are in my kitchen!! You know that hole that I mentioned earlier? Well, that is where the ants are coming from and the maintenance refuses to fix it saying "The whole should be there." Well, if I have to duct type my wall shut...well maybe the hole is a little to big, you think?? And some of the people who live are questionable in my opinion. Leaving their trash out in the hallway, yelling at each other and then the police are called...*sigh* Honestly, I wouldn't waste your time here. I haven't even been here for a year and I can't wait to move out in September. I hate it here. And plus this place isn't really that cheap..you can find much better apartments elsewhere.
Very nice place to live. Location is great. Nice, clean and well maintained living.
put down a deposit on this for my son, to be in my name, was told there would be a senior discount, upper management then said no, as my son would be the occupant. No overnight guests, whereas most apts allow guests for 14 consecutive days. They make you take out insurance, privately, or through a company they deal with. They also charge a maintenance fee monthly to cover water and trash. Add these fees to your rent, your better off getting a nicer place elsewhere. with all this , I cancelled out!
Lived here for a year after college in a 1br. apartment on the ground level in building 1 (no patio). This really is a decent place to live, having reasonable prices, a fantastic location, and sizable rooms, most with nice carpeting. Downsides are creepy elevators, small kitchen with outdated stove, and I wasn't a fan of the laundry accommodations. Elevators are clean, just a little run down/old. Never broke that I know of, just stuff like the doors jiggling and awkward lurches when it stopped. The laundry rooms weren't the roomiest, and I disliked paying per load (and only using a pre-paid card) after having in-apt hookups at my last place, but having laundry rooms less than a few floors away is convenient. Maintenance always responded in a timely manner to my minor requests. Small/outdated wooden cabinets, old stove, poor stovetop ventilation when cooking, and very limited counter space depending on your appliances. Plus it was just small, width-wise. Everything worked, I just had very little patience because my last apartment had an exemplary kitchen. :) This was a good apartment at a great location, only thing I disliked was the outdated/undersized kitchen.
