South Bound Brook sits seven miles northwest of New Brunswick along the shores of the Raritan River. This small yet scenic area is home to charming houses and affordable apartments rentals, all close enough together to help you get to know your neighbors. A charming Main Street holds locally owned grocers and restaurants, with even more variety just across the river in Middlesex.
South Bound Brook comes alive in the summer, when mild New Jersey summers bring locals out of their houses and near the water. Enjoy the view and charm of the area at Riverside Park, which winds around the northern border of the town. Interstate 287 is close by, ferrying you to Edison, Woodbridge Township, and eventually New York City.

Property Ratings at Finchley Gardens
Just moved in and the apartment is fully upgraded and spacious. The staff is nice (property manager and maintenance guys). There is plenty of parking and a park with grills. The only negative comment I have is to prepare to kill lots of bugs (not on the apartment itself) but due to the stream and trees behind the apartments, which other reviews don't mention. Other than that the move in was very smooth.
I recently moved in and the new apartment is beautiful. Mrs.Ali has been so helpful and made the entire moving process so easy. I recommend Finchley Gardens to anyone looking for a nice clean quiet complex with spacious units.
This is the most beautiful place to live , All the people around that area are cool The lady in the office lease (miss ALY ) Is a GREAT and NICE person , she make everything easy for you …. I have the best experience with her is the first time that I make a Application and everything go so easy …. 100 % Recommend this place is a nice choice
I just moved here a few weeks ago and I can already say, unequivocally, that this complex is great. Our apartment is cozy, clean, and comfortable. It has been completely renovated with a brand new kitchen and appliances. The neighborhood is close to the major roads and has a plethora of shopping and dining choices in all directions. If you are looking to relocate to Somerset County, NJ, this is the place to be!
It is a lovely place to live. I feel very safe here and the one bedroom apartments are have a wonderful and practical lay-out, especially the downstairs apartments where you have two entrances, one in the kitchen and one in the living room. Kitchen spacious with plenty of counter space, storage, big dining room off big living room, small hallway off of living room leading to large bedroom and nice sized bathroom. Large walk-in closet in bedroom, and storage closet in living room. Lovely little balcony off living room. Personally, I love living here. It's a wonderful place to live if you have children. I have a six year old grandson who has grown up here and he has a bunch a friends and they play freely and safely around the grassy complex. Compared to other apartment complexes, I think the rent is really reasonable and it's right down the block from 287 and New Brunswick. I'm very happy at Finchley Gardens and I highly recommend it to anyone. It's great for people that may be just starting out, or people that don't have a huge income, just regular folks that go to work from nine to five. People like me!
