Established in 1886, Downtown Minot is both historic and vibrant. It is located along the Souris River and features the beautiful Minot Riverwalk. As the city's cultural hub, Downtown Minot is home to a variety of art galleries, museums, shops, and restaurants. The neighborhood also features several events, including the Fall Wine Walk. Museums include the Taube Museum of Art, the Railroad Museum, and the Old Soo Depot Transportation Museum.
Looped by the Souris River, Roosevelt Park provides a scenic destination, complete with riverside walking trails, a swimming pool with slide, picnic areas, and a zoo. Downtown Minot is south of Minot State University, the state's third-largest university. Residents can travel throughout the region with the Minot Station, an Amtrak train station for the Empire Builder, the country's most popular long-distance train.

Property Ratings at First Avenue Apartments
These apartments are nice all stainless steel appliances. Just a few things that bothered me about the 1br 1ba. The windows don't open. It was something I've never seen before so you have to rely on your A/C in the summer even if you don't want to. The amount of storage is a joke too. You have the entry closet and that's it, which gets filled up by coats and a small shoe rack. The last thing was the pricing. Theven 1br should not be anywhere close to $900 for the little space you get. If it's just 1 person I could see it working but with 2 it is just too little of space and it runs out quick

While downtown living can be compact living, the building does offer additional storage in the lower level along with a Fitness Center! The elevator offers easy access to all levels, and each unit receives a Parking Garage Pass for the parking garage located just across the street. Enjoy all that living downtown has to offer with being walking distance to shopping, restaurants and entertainment!

Hello and thank you for your feedback! Our First Avenue apartments offer a great downtown feel in a uniquely vintage building and while some units may be smaller than others, there are several different floor plans within the building that can offer more space and storage. There is also the option to rent a storage unit in the base level of the building! If you are finding the apartment you rented is not enough space or storage, IRET has two other downtown locations as well as several other properties within Minot and would be happy to facilitate a transfer! Please contact our office and we would be more than happy to help you out! Thank you again for your time.
