Property Ratings at Fountain Springs Apartments
Please look into these apartments before you sign. There are constant shootings, and the office staff are unmanageable. They pester you constantly and maintenance schedules appointments and never shows. (for months). the apartments recently closed the parking lots for renovations telling their residents to park in the lot across from the property. Over night every single car was towed. (about 70 vehicles) This is not a place you want to go if you are looking to settle down for a few years, to raise children, or even if you just want to be left alone.
I highly recommend that you do NOT move here. The property is unsafe, the office staff are catty awful women, and they do not care one bit about their residents. Maintenance is undependable, and the apartment units are falling apart when you get them. The cupboards are peeling and there's unfixed water damage. There is not one peaceful quiet month here, there is always something bad happening. i am over joyed at the thought of leaving when our lease is up.
We were amazed to find this apartment within our budget. We reside in the 3 bedroom 2 bath 1100 sq ft floor plan and absolutely love it. We've been here over a year (19 months, to be exact) and have seen a fair amount of people come and go. Since CO Springs is a military community, that is to be expected. We've had some issues with a downstairs neighbor that eventually moved away, but the complex can't be faulted for that. The apartment itself is nice and spacious. The kitchen is open to the living room, which is actually moderately sized considering how nice everything else is. The living storage can be awkward, but not prohibitively so. The nice, wide hallway has two nice sized closets, and is really a lovely view when you open the front door. The bathrooms leave you plenty of room. The master bedroom is nicely sized with a gigantic closet. I'm not exaggerating when I call it an extra workspace. We have our office space, storage, and my sewing area comfortably settled in there. The other two bedrooms are sized well. We have our two girls in one, and our son in the other, and everyone has plenty of space for books, furniture, toys, and storage. All units have an outdoor patio space, which is just lovely in the warmer months. It would be especially lovely in a westward facing apartment so you get views of the mountains and Colorado's gorgeous sunsets. Our experiences with the management have been positive in our time here. The management recently changed, and we've had no issues with them, either. The maintenance staff are very prompt and sweet as can be when they pop in. They also handle inspections, which occur regularly, and are decidedly thorough. The only real complaint I have with regards to this community is the playground, which is often occupied by unattended children and can get rough for younger children. The new management company have been sending out notices in the monthly newsletter that are aimed at curbing and cracking down on this issue, which hopefully works out. Overall, this has been a lovely place to live, and the only reason I'd consider moving is if we needed more space.
