Thornton apartments are popular for those who want to live close to Denver, but also want that rugged Colorado terrain that provides so many outdoor activities, from camping and hiking to mountain biking and bird-watching.
There are plenty of highly-rated schools at every level in Greater Thornton, the more rural and suburban area that surrounds the heart of the city, making this an ideal place for families with children. Stunning views and unparalleled natural beauty make this part of Thornton popular with nature lovers as well, but all residents will get to enjoy the beauty of the Rockies.

Property Ratings at Magnolia Ridge
Do not move here. We paid 5k plus to get out of our lease and they sent us a bill for the exact same fees we just paid for to get out of the lease and are trying to say it’s a valid bill. Do not move here run the other way. Also to any current residents that have been here awhile beware make sure to get documentation and take photos they are trying to charge us for things previous management never fixed. We had tiles taken out to replace the shower mixing valve and they are trying to charge us for the tiles previous maintenance never fixed.

Magnolia Ridge has recently been taken over by new management, and the experience has been less than desirable. A faulty sprinkler system right outside our master bedroom has had an issue with CONSTANT beeping, all day all night. It’s like a torture method used by people, having to listen to a consistent beeping that never ends. Spoke with the new management team face to face about how frustrating it is to constantly have to listen to the beeping, and was given complete dismissal and disregard for the issue. I’m sure if they had to listen to the excruciating sound day in and day out, they’d be more compassionate. This new management team has shown complete impassiveness to any issues that don’t directly affect them. If you want an apartment complex ran by a management team that are unsympathetic and negligent, look no further.

My dishwasher was fixed which was wonderful. During the visit we found that there is a live animal chewing its way through my wall into my home in my living room! Management is completely USELESS! They could care less about their tenants. A week later nothing has been done! I have had to purchase and place a trap myself! Live wires have been exposed. Started sparking and I lost power to my home! I have yet to hear from management. They responded to me reaching out once and acted like we are discussing a broken cabinet in my home or something not as important as what Im dealing with!!! I wish I never moved into this apartment its been ridiculous from the start when it comes to major issues!!!!

These people are money hungry and not afraid to show it. I just got a monthly statement for which they charge you $5 and you have no say on it. Also $25 dollars for taking the trash from your door and throwing it in the dumpster, then $10 more for the trash truck, basically $35 mo just on trash. A $5 fee for "Real Estate" whatever that means and $9.94 for common area gas because apparently I have to pay $100 dollars per year to grill twice in the summer and to keep the leasing office warm. The late fees are also insane. $100 late fee plus $15 dollars for everyday your late ! Also incredibly high crime area. I see Thornton Police all the time so safety is definitely an issue. The rent prices are incredibly high and its just not worth what they ask. This is a prime example of millionaires trying to get richer in a good economy by nickel and diming everyone. I'm counting the days to move out ...

To say that Magnolia Ridge and Avenue 5 are so far the worst apartment complex I've rented with would be an understatement. The communication from the staff is nonexistent. If you expect an answer from them you should be ready to call them repeatedly. That said some of my experience so far in this first month follows. Upon move in day I arrive with a moving truck full of my stuff my girlfriend and I were told that the apartment was not ready. The apartment did not have doors up inside and there was a hole in the sink in one of the bathrooms. We also initially put a deposit on an apartment with a loft which was not in the apartment that we were given. The staff wanted to rent us another apartment at a higher rate since it was ready but it had no loft. We ended up getting the apartment that was not renovated no loft and there was a lot of work that needed to be completed. We were told on the Thursday that the apartment would be ready with the doors and the sink fixed by Friday. Come Friday we finished moving in all of our stuff and not one person stopped by to fix anything. On Saturday I had to go to the office and request that these be fixed. Finally on Saturday the doors were put up and the sink was being fixed but had I not said anything it's safe to say this would not have been done. I was told there was no maintenance worker on site on Saturdays. It's been about a month and access to the fitness center which is one of the amenities listed on the website I still have no access to. Now as we near the end of a month where rent is due I have not had any communication about how much we owe for water from the front office so maybe water is free here I don't know. I have always received a statement from apartment companies as a bill so that I am aware of how much to pay for water and rent together. I have a request in for maintenance and am going to need some more soon but I expect that will not get done either. Avenue 5 you are terrible and really not doing anything to impress me after a really rocky start. My advice to everyone reading reviews is DO NOT RENT FROM AVENUE 5.
I have lived her for several years. Ever since Greystar took over it went way down hill. Maintenance requests take weeks. Windows fall out, water heaters break, furnaces break, it's so old. Paint won't fix the issues these buildings have. Every single one of their employees are extremely rude and unprofessional. The Thornton police are always here. They said there is the most crime in a complex in Thornton. Not to mention nothing is getting renovated as they say. The gym was getting a really big makeover. They fixed a the leaky ceiling. But left all the broken equipment. It's worthless. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else.

Hi, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around.
This place should not as expensive as they are right now! The worst management from both the old and the new. They never did anything properly. I have a dishwasher that doesn't working properly for more than a month, but they never get it fixed, they did came in and look at it but just never get it fixed. And I have to come down to the office everyday to get them to look at the stuffs that needed to be fixed. I feel so upset because they never take our concern serious. The neighborhood is not even okay at all. I know that living in an apartment means there are people living around us, so there would be noises, but I tried to keep it down so we don't bother neighbors around us. But the upstair doesn't even care about their neighbors at all, they were not even walking at all, they were stomping and running. Sometimes there are kids running downstairs and yelling, it could give people a heart attack if they have a heart disease. But I think the new management take our concern more serious than the old one.
I've been at Fox Creek just shy of a year ( I will be renewing for another year), and I must say that I really like the place. I've lived in apartments all around Colorado and I must say that it's a nice place to live compared to places that i've been. The assistant manager Jennifer is always nice and willing to help. The maintenance guys are great and they get things done in a timely fashion. My neighbors are quiet and in the time that i've been here I haven't had any major issues. They host activities for the community, which my kids love. The pools are kept up, the workout room is great. The location is really nice too, we are close to schools and shopping which means ALOT to me because I don't like to drive. -Charlotte
Property is under new management, and it seems that it is all about the money. They have raised the rent and many people who have lived here for years have had to move. They want community feel, however they don't enforce the safety rules, and enforce the how many bikes rules. I feel the location is great, however the quality of housing and sie is a big downfall. Too many irresponsible pet owners not picking up after pets. Too many unsupervised children left to do whatever.
My neighbors are nice. They are also very quiet, even those with dogs. The complex is Dog Friendly.
I have been here for over 5 years. Maintenance has ALWAYS taken care of any issues I have had in a very timely manner. Ashley in the office, is an outstanding asset to Fox Creek. The way my apartment is set up on the 1st floor, I am able to have a beautiful flower pot garden out front, which adds even more a personal touch to make this feel like a home and not just an apartment. Seriously, any issues are taken care of immediately, and always with a smile, and sense of sincerity.
