Property Ratings at Harlingen Estates
I have shown interested in this place and had yet to hear from anyone. When I finally heard from someone. They told me I could not rent a 2 bedroom, because I wasn’t only 1 person. Then I asked to see a bigger apt and I got no response. I’m not sure who exactly is in charge, but customer service is already not great. Then I read of an infestation at these apts.
I gave it one star because I couldn't give it no stars. I moved into a unit that was infested with roaches and I say infested because that is exactly what it was an infestation only to discover it had a rodent problem too. I have several small children and these were unsanitary living conditions so I COMMUNICATED with the landlord regarding this issue on multiple occasions and during the final verbal communication she said that I could leave and that I would not be liable for October rent and that I would get my deposit back. I have GREAT rental history and I ALWAYS thoroughly clean the unit before I move out. I was only there for a couple of weeks. Although the unit was INFESTED with bugs and rodents due to her negligence, she decided to deny the deposit because I broke the lease. This is ridiculous and not ethical. No heart landlord likes to hide behind the lease INSTEAD of doing what is morally right! The place was infested and I cleaned it thoroughly, left it better than when I moved in! I've dealt with many leasing agencies and managers and have never met one quite like her!
