Property Ratings at Holland Gardens Apartments
My one bedroom is clean and a good place to live. My neighbors are quiet. The neighborhood is wonderful and safe. The pool is only open when there's a life guard there. You can get spectrum or nothing if you want cable or internet and spectrum knows this fact and you'll pay what they decide without negotiation. Holland Gardens never raised any bills unfairly for me.

I have been here for 5 years. It is home to us. I love that they are welcoming of dogs and cats and pets in general, who are our family. The staff is friendly. Jackie is great. John and the maintenance staff are great as well. Thank you guys!

I lived here for 2 years. The apartment was small, but clean. They have cleaning crews come clean the main rooms once a week. Outside is maintained nicely as well. Maintenance comes immediately whenever there is an issue. The swimming pool was also really nice and well kept. The only issues were other tenants smoking which made my apartment smell, and the apartment making loud cracking noises in the winter. I do recommend living here!
Holland Gardens was the first apartment I had out of high school. It had a decent rent price, enough space for me and my large dog, and it was quiet! As a college student, I was able to study when I needed to, but was also comfortable having people over and knowing I wasn't bothering my neighbors because everything was so quiet and peaceful. The buildings are small so you know your neighbors but they aren't always in your business. Many are just nice and casual in the hallway and go on about their business, which is what I preferred. Management was always able to work with me around anything that popped up and management was always there within minutes of any issue I had (didn't have many problems there, but I did mess up my a/c once and they immediately came to fix it).
At first we were happy with our choice of apartments. After a month of living here things got bad. People smoke in the hallway right outside our apartment, the neighbor had to move because the roof caved in, I've been waiting since February for a handicap bar in the shower, they raise prices whenever they want, and the promise things they can't give. It's okay for a first apartment but January can't come fast enough.
I've been here since January of 2014 and cannot wait to get out. The unit itself is fine and I haven't had any issues with it. Management, however, has been another story entirely. It has been problem after problem. The parking lot was a chuck hole paradise after the first winter. It took them a long time to repair it. During the winter they would hardly ever salt the parking lot. Its amazing I never slid into anyone. They have hours posted, but do not keep to them. I've gone to pick up several packages and could not because they closed up early without warning. After my first lease expired they starting charging us a flat fee for water under the guise of "conservation" even though they have no way of knowing how much or little water I use. My lease is set to expire October 1 and I was just informed if I stay my base rent is going up $35 bucks. What started out at $605 for a 2 bedroom is now $685. The safe and decent unit is no longer worth the price they want for their unpleasant management.
