Property Ratings at Independence Towers
I have been here for a year about to sign a new lease. Plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance. They have recently painted the interior hallways of the entire building. The staff is always working to keep things clean. I live in a one bedroom unit with my dog and have a space in the garage. My combined rent and utilities have been very affordable. The average IPL bill is $13 per month. Typically in the Winter I don't even turn the heat on it stays 70? in my apartment. In the summer I use one of the two air conditioners on low setting and I am comfortable. All things considered this a good place to live for now.
Just moved in about three months ago and I really enjoy my apartment. I have a service animal and management was very accommodating. I plan to be here for a long time.
Moved in a few months ago, and for the most part I like it a lot. My apartment is great for just myself and the management is nice and helpful. I have already referred a coworker.
This complex has very bad management and extremely poor maintence. It is a highrise apartment but the elevators don't work half of the time the management turns off the water to the bulding for "maintence" at least once a week and the water is off for 4 or 5 hours at a time. they force the resident to put the utility in their name so you get a bill from the utility company then the complex also bills you for said utilities. When there is a emergency such as a fire in the building as was the case a month ago the building manager wasn't around. the amenities that they claim to have don't exist such as high speed internet a business center secured building. the external doors are always left open so anyone can come into the building. they will hold your pakages in the office but the office is rarely open past 5 pm so you cant get your mail.
Really, this apartment has worked out better than I thought it would. It's so close to work and convenient to visiting my grandchildren, it really is the best place for me. I really like the new management, and Jeremy the new manager has done a great job of maintaining this building. I plan on renewing my lease in a couple of months.
I love my apartment and the closeness of all the shops and restaurants. The new management has been wonderful about getting anything I needed in my apartment completed. I enjoy the sense of community and look forward to more years as a resident here. (Alan - six year resident)
This place is a joke. They just got bought by Property Resource Associates and the property is worse than it ever has been, there's never any hot water or heat, they turn off the air conditioner way too early so you have to sit in your apt and sweat. They now make you pay add'l utilities (which this ad doesn't state). Property is always getting broken into, never any parking spaces for paying tenants, the maintenance man is very slow, floors and laundry rooms are filthy. Manager on duty is hateful and then they have the gall to constantly remind us when the rent is due when they don't provide most of the things they advertise (which voids the lease). Don't make a mistake and move here. Go somewhere that you'll always have heat, air, hot water and a clean place to do laundry and live. Tenants gossip too much and so does the staff.
