Property Ratings at Ivy Woods
I am a current resident and have been living here since June 2023. The apartments themselves are fine, however the management of this place is AWFUL. I have been dealing with a flea infestation in my unit for almost 3 months, with absolutely no action being taken by management to fix the problem. My cat is an indoor only animal and has never stepped outside, other than to go to the vet. Now I have to deal with bites up and down my legs and my cat constantly itching all because of a lack of action on behalf of management. Keep in mind, I have already spent $200+ of my own money trying to treat the apartment and my cat, and the fleas are still here. Half the time I call the property manager, it goes to voicemail. The other half of the time I get a rude person who tells me "I have 294 tenants to manage, I have too much on my plate." About two weeks ago, I started noticing yellow jacket bees filtering into the basement through a storm window. Hundreds of them dead on the floors and about 10-20 alive and flying around. I again called the property manage, with a promise made to have an exterminator sent out urgently. That was two weeks ago and I have received zero communication from them since, typical. Moral of the story is, don't be fooled by the pretty pictures of this place online. Once you sign the contract, the only time you will ever here from property management is when they come to take your money. There are so many unresolved issues that will never be fixed, no matter how hard you try to press them about it. Don't be a sucker like I was and ignore all the negative reviews of this place, every complaint is very real and will more than likely never be fixed.
I just want to write to people coming into these apartments to beware of the mold. I was unaware of the issue when I moved in and there’s nothing you can do to get them to fix it, along with adding additional costs to your living expenses because of running a dehumidifier that’s not hooked up properly. These units have so much potential it’s so sad to see the property go to waste. The new management I have had no issues with but previous management was so horrible beyond means.
