It is a basic community. It has average amenities. It is an old community and unfortunately it's age is starting show. Trash thrown on the ground by residents. An overwhelmed maintenance staff. Finally rats running around in broad daylight. So in conclusion this is a place to stop on your journey for a place to live permanently but not the end goal.

Worst place I have ever lived! Dirty, overpriced, and lied to multiple times from the very beginning. I continue to pay for “amenities” that aren’t available and have been overcharged (stolen from) at every opportunity. Some of the “management team” are the most unprofessional people I’ve had to deal with. Regret moving here and can’t wait to move out.

I went into this apartment complex inquiring about a one bedroom one bathroom. The receptionist was nice, however was very distracted while trying to give information about the complex, prices etc. The complex itself was okay, however people’s properties were very cluttered on the outside with belongings scattered around. Would not recommend this complex.

The new management has done wonders for this property. The properly is clean The location is close to shopping, doctors, hospital, and toll roads. I have lived here for around 14 yrs, I wouldn't live anywhere else.

We lived here and it is rat infested. You can hear the rats in the walls and ceiling. They run all over the garage and it's embarrassing when you have visitors. We complained, wrote emails, made calls, all to no avail. Do not live here!! Run!!

Hope you don't want to use the pool in the summer, management decided it's only open office hours which is TUES-SAT until 5pm. So if you actually work for a living, you get to enjoy the pool Saturday afternoons only. Not to mention the breezeways are disgusting and full of trash and stains. The parcel box is broken every other month now it seems. Put in a work order? Expect that to be completed months later. Office staff doesn't know anything and good luck getting a call back.

If you enjoy rats, break ins, “miscommunications,” and empty promises then this is your place!!!!! First year was great but then management changed 3 times over the course of about a year. Maintenance requests were never fulfilled, staff was rude, and the garage was nauseating and dangerous. The pool was fun if you need to practice snorkeling in murky water where you couldn’t see a few inches in front of you. if you enjoy sending many emails and meeting many many new people in management, run over to lakeside.

Parking garage is horribly unsanitary and UNSAFE! Huge rats and ants everywhere! The parking garage is also a hot spot for break ins. Literally dozens a week. No cameras and the entrance gate stays open so anyone has access 24/7. Management has done nothing about it even though you'll pay $15 or more a month for "safe and secure" parking. Maintenance personnel are unprofessional and rude and the units are not near worth what you'll pay. Skip this place it doesn't deserve even 1 star.

All of the previous office personnel and managers have quit within the last 3 months as well as a majority of the Maintenance team. I wholeheartedly believe it's due to the new ownership. Renovated units literally just added a new paint color and replaced the carpet with wood. Water clogs, Floods, leaks, cracks in walls and horrendous communicating from the office!

Do not move here!! I lived here for a year now And from the first day of moving in I noticed the spiders and the roaches came out at night it has been like that for a year and I called left emails and the issue was never resolved. It’s too much in rent to live in poor conditions. I have mold all over my Ac unit which broke today and this is the second time it stopped working and I called emergency maintenance and was told there’s nothing they can do at night because it’s not considered an emergency and to open up my windows and call back in the morning. Do you see the price on these apartment’s? Unacceptable not for roaches, spiders, mold and broke Ac units. I reached out to the manager many many times about the roaches and spiders and the issues was never resolved now here it is my last two weeks here i stayed a year and it’s still a bad roach problem I had to bomb it myself, spray myself and it’s still horrible. The manager told me if I wanted to discuss breaking my lease I can. Those exact words were written in that email after all my complaints about the roaches that’s all she had to say. Horrible do not live here!!
This looks like a good deal and it would be if it was EVER taken care of! Please believe me, the parking is terrible and they had the bright idea of putting the trash cans inside the parking garage. It smells SO BAD you literally have to hold your breath until you get to your apartment. There is trash and rats everywhere!!!!!!! It’s just really sketchy. The paint is falling apart in the remodeled units, just spend a little more money somewhere else to not have to deal with stuff like this, I wish I did.
I appreciate this staff so much and always feel taken care of! Loretta in maintenance always makes herself available to me whenever I need her. Martin is the best porter Ever and works so hard. Jeff and Victoria in the office are awesome and very accommodating. I like it here.
I renewed my lease here recently because it's a decent place to live, however I will not be staying here once my lease expires. The apartment itself is overpriced for what I get. The walls are VERY thin and you hear A LOT. The people that live above me are frequently waking me up at night or disturbing an otherwise pleasant day by constantly stomping above me. The property is simply poorly constructed. There is a parking garage that is crowded and I am unable to park closer to my apartment. I look forward to the end of the year when I can leave. I would not recommend.

I have been living here for over a year and it has been wonderful. The ceilings are high and there is a washer and dryer included. The closet is very large also. I highly recommend any and everyone to move into this wonderful apartment.
I've have lived at this residence for over a year and it has been wonderful. Very nice and cozy for me and my wife. I love the open kitchen as well as the built in bookshelf. The closet is a pretty decent size. I like having a w/d in the apartment as well. It makes doing laundry easy and convenient! Overall great apartment, no major problems, no complaints!! Highly recommend to everyone!
I have lived in a lot of apartments, and this one is by far my favorite. It is very quiet and well maintained. The people in the front office are really nice - AND for the first time ever, have been the same people for more than 3 weeks. The little pond on the side of the complex is nice when its full with water and is a good place to go for walks. The rent is a decent price for what the cost of living is now days.... I don't use the pool very often, but it looks nice and has a nice sitting area with a fire place next too it. The parking garage is a little hard to park in if you have a bigger car. Nearly everyone in there has some ding on their car from trying to park by the poles. All in all. Pretty great apartment. I would recommend to anyone!
I currently live in the Lakeside at La Frontera Apartments on Hester's Crossing Road. There are several things I like about this apartment. I of course have the smallest 1brm available, but for the smallest apartment, it has a great layout. The little pond next to the apartments is nice to go to. You can go for walks/runs around the path surrounding the lake or just sit on the small benches that are provided for you. I am a photographer as well, so this is a really great area to take people for photo shoots. There are times where I feel like we are the only people living there. It is so quiet and peaceful. I live on the bottom floor and while I SOMETIMES here the people who live above me, who walk very heavy, it doesn't bother me that much. All of the people who I have met at this apartment are so friendly. That includes the staff in the office. This is the first apartment where I have lived where they remember my name every time I go in there, and they ask how work is going...etc. Just over all very nice people. My ONE issue with this apartment is how far you have to park from the front door of your apartment. I practically have to walk a 5k to get from my car to my front door. While I am into fitness, this is pretty annoying when you are carrying groceries and also makes the moving in process really difficult. I am however glad that there is a parking garage to park in that covers my car. My car is never burning hot when I get inside and if there was ever a hail storm, my car would be safe. This apartment is also perfectly located. There is shopping, food, entertainment within close walking distance. A movie theater down the street, a shopping mall one block away, and several places to eat surrounding the whole place. GREAT LOCATION! Over all. I really like living here and have just renewed my lease for another 13 months. :)
I've lived here for 3 years and I love it. The front office staff and the maintenance men know me and actually built a relationship with me. They are quick to respond to service request and keep the grounds very clean.
My wife and I have lived at the Lakeside apartments in Round Rock for nearly three years now. I can say that we have really enjoyed our time here thus far. The apartments are conveniently located on the corner of two major highways, which makes commuting a breeze. Aside from this there is a decently sized shopping center less than five minutes away. Amazingly, these aparments still feel rather quiet. There is a very nice lake (pond) at the apartments with a walking path surrounding it that is a great size. To touch on the actual apartments themselves, we have lived in two different sized apatments here (upgraded for more space naturally). Both of which in my opinon have given the most bang for buck. We searched countless apartments in the near vicinity and found these to be the best square footage per price. The space is well thought out and has a washer and dryer in all the units. We have experienced some dated appliances and things such as a dryer and thermostat that began to fall short. The maintenance quickly replaced these with upgraded versions that work great! To wrap things up I'd like to mention that the people of the leasing office have always been more than helpful. Whether it be retrieving packages or discussing issues, they have always been more tahan willing to help! I would say that the gym is the main downside of these aprtments as there are only a handful of machines that are dated and constantly need repairs. The pool however has always been very nice and never overly crowded in my visits to it. I hope this information has been beneficial to some of you. I have really enjoyed and would reccomend these apartments.
Love these apartments. Never lived somewhere so quiet, peaceful and friendly. And to top it off there's a beautiful lake right outside my door that allows me to walk, clear my mind and even fish. Yes I said fish less than 100yds from my front door. I don't know of anywhere else that can offer this. I have my first son on the way and look forward to calling this home for a while!
I have happily lived here with my elderly mother (she has NEVER lived in an apartment) since Sept. 2013 and I can say we have been very happy! I did a lot of research when we had to move out of our house & this apartment was quite the bang for our buck! Yes, yes, there are always those little apartment issues, what can you expect? Noise at the pool at 2 a.m.? Call the after hours service and the police. Funny how that helps every time. Park higher up in the garage for more space. It's maybe one flight of stairs & it's covered! It's been quiet, maintenance is responsive and helpful/very nice and the guys/girls in the office are wonderful! I would say the countertops and laminate flooring could use updating but overall the apartments are spacious and much more home like than most. If you are looking for zero problems, buy a house (oh, those have problems too! Usually a lot more!) The pool looks like a resort, clubhouse is beautiful & workout area is huge. We're staying here a year longer than expected but I know the experience will be great! Oh, and where can you live where your car is protected from the elements 24/7 & you can live on ANY floor and not have to climb stairs from your parking space? Maybe assigned spaces for all would be a good idea but there is plenty of parking and a little rolling hand cart does wonders for hauling groceries!
Although the apartments are centrally located, it does not make up for the lack of concern for the resident's comfort. The hallways are dimly lit and dirty. The office staff are concerned only with the collection of the rent. Issues are casually addressed, and never followed up to see that the problems were taken care of. It seems that their responsibility ends with the writing of the service ticket. Maintenance is at best qualified to change a light bulb. Ant control is best taken care of by the tenant because the Apartment's answer to pest control is handing out little ant bait containers, which are a waste of allowing a stranger in your apartment when you are away.
Too bad that they have not paid attention to the maintenance of the the hallways, really dirty. Even their clubhouse area looks already run down. Could have been a really nice place to live and excellent location. But not ideal for long term renters that want to call this place home. I just like the fact that they have covered parking.
