Situated midway between Atlanta and Augusta, Milledgeville is rooted in a rich history, serving as Georgia’s Antebellum Capital from 1803 to 1868. A slew of historic mansions and museums pay homage to Milledgeville’s colorful past while rows of local restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, boutiques, and antique stores contribute to the small-town character of Downtown Milledgeville.
Milledgeville offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities, including boating on Lake Sinclair, hiking the Bartram Trail, and kayaking and canoeing the Oconee River. Milledgeville is also home to several parks and golf courses, presenting even more options for outdoor activities. Convenient access to U.S. 441 makes getting around from Milledgeville simple.

Property Ratings at Legacy Mills Townhomes/Duplexes
The subdivision is nice within itself; quiet, aesthetically pleasing, etc. The townhome is great, very spacious with a big kitchen and private bathrooms. I personally LOVE the big kitchen, it's my favorite part just because there's nothing like cooking in a beautiful kitchen. Maintenance is pretty consistent, any time we're in need management sends someone out ASAP to take care of what's needed. Another great perk, the management isn't extremely difficult. There aren't any unrealistic pricks sitting in the management office; they're reasonable and understanding people which is definitely something you would want. I would recommend living in Legacy Mills. Its probably not so great if you have a full family of over 4 people because there just isn't enough room. However I believe it's a perfect place for a possible recent graduate who is just beginning to work and step out into the world on their own. Its affordable and a great place to call your very first home (that you own).
Legacy Mills is a nice neighborhood to live in. Most of the neighbors are friendly and the location is prefect and close to everything in Milledgeville. We recently got a new manager that works five days a week and is very helpful and easy to reach. The apartment complex is well maintained, kept clean and pet friendly. The apartment has a homey feel and is very comfortable. It has a nice kitchen area with a lot of cabinet space and a nice size pantry. The rooms are spacious with plenty of closet space and each bedroom has its own bathroom. It has a nice back deck with plenty of room for flowers, decorations, and enjoying the weather.
I moved in with my two children in May. Anytime I've had any matinance issues they've always dealt with them that day. The new property manager is amazing. She's very easy to work with and talk to. Legacy Mills Townhomes is by far the best apartment, for the best price in the area.
I love these apartments. When I came back from overseas, I applied and they didn't have any vacancy. Now I have been here for a month now and absolutely love the staffing and neighbors.
The Legacy Mills town homes are in a great location, right off the main drag but tucked away so that you do not hear the hustle and bustle. We have a very nice two story, 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath with a back patio for a great price. They are well maintained and the management are very helpful. The neighborhood is cozy and the people are quiet and keep to themselves. The only con is the electrical wiring of the house and placement of the light switches.
This is by far the best place I have ever lived!! I've lived here for 4 years now, and I absolutely love it. I just love the property, the floor plans, and best of all the fact that they are pet friendly. The neighborhood is safe and everyone is very friendly. Management and staff are very courteous! You never have to worry about anything, because they take really good care of you. Again, this is a great place to live and I don't see myself moving anytime soon.
The customer service I have experienced by renting this apartment has been wonderful! The apartment is in a nice tucked away location close to the university I attend.
Legacy Mills has been a joyous place for me to live the last 32 months. Skywater Realty is the current owners who took over a little over one year ago. It was a rocky start but smoothed out over time. Conveniently located to hospital, shopping and colleges. The rent was raised to $700 per month without a notice but everything else has been fine. When I last checked there were at least 3 different owners to sections of the community. Planning to relocate back to Alabama in the next month though.
My current apartment was burglarized rendering it unsecure. The exterior crawl space is always damp creating a dangerous mold situation inside. I have called the property manager several times and nothing has been done to alleviate the problem. I have secured a new apartment and should be moving within a couple of weeks. Management in new place has been responsive and helpful with my questions and concerns.
