The staff is very kind and helpful. Love the access to the coffee shop, Coolvines, and amenities. Love that free facials were given out and other local companies coming in the building! Hope to see more of that!

I absolutely love living at Modera Lofts! The community here is friendly and welcoming, and the management team goes above and beyond to make sure residents are happy. The events are fantastic, the Halloween party this year was Harry Potter themed and was so much fun! I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great home with a friendly vibe and lots of perks.

Living at Moderna Lofts is a continuing dream. My wife and I love it! The staff are amazing and go above and beyond for the residents. Everything is well executed by them. Val is just a nice nice guy. He is always kid and helps everyone out, just a naturally kind and gregarious gentleman. He makes the experience over the top.

Modera is one of the best apartments in downtown Jersey City. Amenities wise this stands among the best ones even though the rent here is much lesser. The management is responsive and very helpful. They have probably the best management team in the neighborhood. Parking garage is a bit cramped up and has low ceiling.

The process to submit an application and sign a lease was very smooth thanks to the helpful and friendly staff! We can’t wait to move in and become a part of the community!

Quiet building in very convenient location. Close to transit, restaurants, nightlife and supermarket. Great gym. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

maintenance and transparency seem to be a constant issue. the team is kind on paper but i've followed up about serious ongoing issues that never get fully solved.

My husband and I just moved into Modera Lofts in July. So far so good! The building is incredibly clean/well maintained, the employees are lovely and work so hard, the package delivery service straight to your door has been a blessing, and the amenities make life so much easier. We definitely made the right move.

Absolutely love our new home. We couldn’t be happier with everything from the unique building, management and residents. The whole process from start to now has been so communicative with all the support available to make it as easy as possible. Any issues are resolved super quick and all the staff are so friendly and helpful.

The leasing office (valentin, afrim), maintenance workers (manny and the rest), and front desk attendants are all great here. The whole process of application and approval was the best I’ve experienced. I completed all of that and got approval in the building at the leasing office the same day I viewed the unit I moved into. Amenities in the building are fantastic , the rooms are great. Only knock on rooms would be that, depending on where your unit is located, you may not get much natural light. But not an issue with proper lighting fixtures, and roof deck is beautiful and makes up for that (if you are in a unit with poor lighting—if you aren’t, then no problems here!) Move in was incredibly easy as well. I’m only a few days into my lease, but so far I am excited that I landed here.

Yes the building is cute. Yes it’s in a great location. But. The walls are PAPER THIN. I’m snuggled between a couple who argues nightly and a family with kids who do nothing but scream and “race” up and down their apartment. It feels like their in my room with me. And for what Modera charges in rent, it’s insane that tenants have to deal with this and cannot relax and enjoy their space. And don’t get me started on the water tower that exploded and destroyed half the building. Nothing but creepy construction workers at all hours staring at me and making me uncomfortable. I’ll be looking to leave.

Living at Modera Lofts for nearly three years had its ups and downs. The prime location, friendly front desk staff, and cool rooftop were some highlights. However, the leasing office was consistently terrible and unreliable, making it difficult to deal with rate hikes and renewals. Asking for 20-30% rent increases year after year is unconscionable. Most units have thin walls resulting in constant noise, while lack of sunlight and falling bricks add to the issues. The new lock system doesn't work consistently, making it frustrating. Considering the price, size, and headaches caused by the leasing office, there are better options in Jersey City. It's worth noting that recent positive reviews may be due to a push to attract new tenants, so it's best to ask current residents about their experiences.

The walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbor talk as they are in the same room. Be careful if you are hapless as I did that have very unreasonable people who wake you several times EVERY SINGLE NIGHT with huge sounds from upstairs. I never had any uninterrupted sleep ever since I moved in and I am not even a light sleeper.

I really like Modera!! Val goes above and beyond! Manny in maintenance is awesome! Only thing is the area has a lot of dogs if you are afraid of dogs and Alexis in the Leasing office is not that great/ customer service is a 0 . if you ask for help ask for Val!

Leasing experience was great! My leasing manager Val is professional, responsive and very helpful. I truly enjoyed our interactions. Apartment is very clean and well maintained. I have enjoyed my stay so far.

Valentin has been so helpful during the entire process and has made moving from out of state very easy for us. We had a few changes and Val was always there for us. We’re very excited to live here and to try the many great amenities that Modera has to offer.

Just WOW, I am truly amazed by this building style, I saw the building on apartments.com and I just walked into the office without an appointment, I wasn't expecting a tour however Val found 30 minutes for me, I did not expect such style, beautiful amenities, amazing apartments designs, the location is another thing is soo close to all city life that I don't need to drive anywhere.

I and my fiance just moved in a few weeks ago, this is one of the best-maganged buildings that I lived in, starting with the tour process, and application process, and after the actual move in the management team was always available for any questions we had. Location is a major factor for us and Modera's location is the best, minutes to grove street path and lots of restaurants within walking distance! we worked with Val and he did an excellent job.

I'm relocating to Jersey City with work and I had a tour the other day, the building is in good condition with huge apartments, and a lot of fun stuff, Val told me that they try to do monthly events for their residents that is awesome, will come back with fiance to seal the deal.

Just toured the building, and I want to say that I'm very impressed with the Leasing team here, Val did a great job explaining the building amenities, apartments as well as the location and all the fun activities around Jersey City! 5 stars from me

I’ve heard the rent INCREASE is ridiculous and I can’t wait to see how much they will increase mine. This place has really lost its luster. Renters continue to not follow the rules - trash being left in the hallways all day, days where the hallways are not vacuumed, the continuing issues with the elevators and the smokers. My most major issue, They say it's a smoke-free building, but I can smell smoke. Since the walls are thin, not sure if it is coming from the units above or below or on either side of me, or beyond. Smokers are constantly smoking on the front porch, front steps, the loading dock, in front of the garage, and just throwing their cigarette butts everywhere. I once parked my car in front of the building and the next day saw cigarette butts (MULTIPLE) on the roof of my car. Not cool. The walls are thin so hearing the neighbors talk, argue, and other things, although sometimes entertaining, gets irritating really fast. The brick wall gives it a unique feel, but the dust from it so annoying, I run the Roomba everyday. The amenities are not kept up or the residents don’t care about them, or both. The office spaces and conference rooms are often left dirty and the internet doesn’t reach. Over the summer, the roof has really declined with the grills not cleaned, trash left behind, and the TVs have not worked.

Love living here for the amenities and location! From parking, to gym, to rooftop Modera Lofts has it all. Couldn't be happier to be a resident here.

Modera Lofts has been a wonderful place to live. Its been two years now. From leasing, to maintenance, to concierge and management, everyone is professional, pleasant, and accommodating. The building has been expertly restored and the apartments are beautiful. The common areas are comfortable and well maintained. Conveniently located in the Powerhouse Arts district of Jersey City there are lots of great restaurants and shops and it is an easy trip into Manhattan.

Katherine, Amanda, and Jacquelyn went above and beyond to make our leasing process a breeze. They kept us informed and answered all our questions in a timely manner. We will definitely be placing more clients at their community.

Overall the experience is average, the apartment is nice and spacious but there is a severe lack of noise isolation, I can hear the next door neighbor like as if they were in the same room as us and also can hear all the steps of the upstair neighbor when he walks.

I find the maintenance staff super helpful, the front desk is typically helpful and friendly. The community is wonderful and the majority of tenants are friendly and helpful. The amenities are so nice and kept up well. I love the finishes, furniture, and art work of the common areas. The roof top is fantastic! And the finishes in our unit are fabulous as well!

Great location, close to PATH and ferries. Unique warehouse style building, many original features retained. 24 hour front desk concierge and package storage very useful.

Modera Lofts are unique in its appearance, design and finishing touches from unpretentious but stylish paint colors to choice of materials. We like the apartment plan, its industrial looks and timber columns, spacious storage and high ceilings. It is nice to know this is not some elaborate imitation but a real conversion. A very attractive and well thought conversion which most importantly is also a pleasant space to live.
