Property Ratings at Mt. Vernon Flats
Mt Vernon Flats is the best landlord I’ve ever had, full stop. They take excellent care of their properties, offer reasonable rates and amenities, and are consistently responsive and happy to help when a problem comes up (for instance, when my stove was having problems they had a mechanic there within 24 hours). They truly go above and beyond for their tenants. When I was out of town, they kindly watered my plants. When I noticed a door was squeaking, the owners came out with tools and fixed it. When I was moving out and accidentally sent an extra check, they refunded me immediately. Before I moved in, they gave me input on the paint job, which no landlord has ever done in my experience! Every interaction I had with Roman and Olivia was kind and genuine, and I just felt less stressed out knowing that my landlords were kind people. I highly recommend renting from them. The property I rented was extremely well-kept and attractive. The living room had tons of light and the fireplaces had beautiful accents. The kitchen was in great shape and the bedroom was extremely spacious. I only rented for just under a year, but I’m going to remember this apartment and the great times in Mt Vernon for the rest of my life. I’ve had good landlords and bad landlords, but Mt Vernon Flats is in a class of its own!
Wether you are looking for an affordable studio or a furnished 2BR. These guy have you covered. Well maintained buildings and very friendly service from these landlords. Highly recommend for best apartment experience in Baltimore, MD!
Clean, quiet, safe, courteous, and great value! Would gladly stay here forever!
I rented a place from Mt. Vernon Flats for a couple months when I first moved to Baltimore. Everything at the location was great. Geographically, it was in a nice part of Mt. Vernon with a lot around it. The apartment itself was well furnished. The landlord/owner was also quick to respond and resolve the couple small issues that came up while I was there (which had more to do with the internet provider than anything with the property itself). I would definitely recommend.
Roman and Mark are hands down the best landlords I've ever had. They always shuddered when I even used the term 'landlords' because it's almost pejorative. Understandably, because I, like so many others, have been mistreated or lived in an insecure state as a renter. I've lived in the West Coast, in the Middle East, in DC and in Baltimore and Mt Vernon Flats has been the most comfortable, safe renting experience I've had. As a family owned business, they use a familial approach in their work. They are responsive and highly communicative, their prices are more than fair, and they always go over and beyond to simply be nice, non-judgmental, and respectful. After two years at one of their two bedroom apartments, the only reason we moved out is because we had an opportunity to purchase a home that we couldn't turn down. Otherwise we would have happily lived in our Mt Vernon Flats apartment for years. And now they have helped us learn how to be homeowners by sharing their experience and networks - you can't go wrong!

A wonderful experience. Best landlords ever! I really enjoyed renting from Mount Vernon Flats at Baltimore. Being new to the city I thought that the location was wonderful with plenty of places to walk even in the middle of the quarantine. Very safe and clean environment. Only for apartments for building make this a great option for the times!
I really enjoyed my time in Mt Vernon Flats! Great location in Baltimore. So close and convenient for Hopkins Univerisity and to see the city in foot and bicycle! Lovely!
Good amenities, wonderful neighbors, safer area to live in the city. Easy commute to Hopkins Medical Center. Good value for fair quarters.
Really convenient location in Historical Mount vernon area. Would not settle for anything less. 10/10 experience . Good management too!
Really nice apartments. I really enjoyed my time here. Beautiful neighborhood and a nice sense of community. When I return from Bangladesh I will rent again from Mount Vernon flats.
Enjoyed my short term stay in Mount Vernon in Baltimore, MD. Friendly service and very affordable pricing. Would recommend again!
Highly recommend Mount Vernon Flats after 5 great years of living in a 2 bedroom with the best view in the city.
Beautiful, historical homes, for a reasonable price. Friendly and helpful landlords eager to please their tenants. Best neighbors possibles. 4 satisfied years and counting.
Great value, responsibly maintained historical homes in Baltimore. Would recommend for a furnished short term rental near Mercy Hospital.
Loved my stay at Mount Verno. Flats wonderful landlords, great apartment rentals, best neighbors ever!!!
In a world of cookie cutter apartments and corporate landbots it is so refreshing to find a company that is family owner and has small historical building, with intimate communities of residents, and vary spacious Flats. Hands down best apartment rental experience I ever had. Historical neighborhood of Mount Vernon is fantastic. As a single female I had found it safe and fun to live here. 5 stars!!!
Loved my stay at the flats in Mount Vernon while going to Hopkins for a year. Glad I didn’t have to rent furniture. This place was great for trouble free stay in Baltimore! Recommend!
Mt Vernon Flats have treated me really well for the past 5 years. In 2012 I moved to Baltimore to start my job as an adjunct at University of Maryland. I did not know anyone in the city and was a little concerned about finding a safe place to live. Finding the flats was a godsend. My apartment is huge and I have an awesome view of the Washington monument and the old city. The landlords have been super responsive, usually answering my emails within a couple of hours and even on the weekends. The one time I head a problem with my heat they were quick to make the necessary repairs and provide me with a space heater for the one night it didn’t work. They have kept rent very reasonable for all these years, provided regular maintenance and support, and always treated me with respect and a smile. Now that it’s time to buy my home I will miss their friendly service and support. I came as a tenant, I am leaving as a friend!
Coming to Baltimore for a 6 month residency at Johns Hopkins . Feeling nervous about some things I read on social media, I was ready to drop $4,000 a month for a secure executive suit downtown, then I found the flats! Half the price, twice as nice, thrice as cool. ??. I have recommended many colleagues and everyone always thanks me for the referral.
I was super lucky to find these guys on Airbnb when I was coming to Baltimore for a six month training at Johns Hopkins Medical. I ended up coming back and renting an apartment from them annually. In both cases the experience has been stellar. These people provide great customer services. The furnished apartment was beautifully decorated and had all the kitchenware and linens I needed. Great neighborhood, easy to get everywhere, safe, social, and fun. Highly recommend Mt Vernon Flats - the best apartments in all of Baltimore!
