Property Ratings at New Heritage Apartments
Listen it is a clean place and for the most part maintenance takes care of anything easy but, fall short with electrical and plumbing. As far as ants, a person commented, they are everywhere. That is absolutely true. But, isn't that true of most places in Oregon? I mean we do live in the wilderness after all! Don't rent the apartments in the front by the street. You will hate it. Cars go through Geary and 45mps and not 35 to 25 as the signs clearly state. So this causes two problems. Because it is so busy, there is a tremendous amount of pollution from the cars and trucks, it is so loud from the racing cars in the morning I get woke around 6:00 am. The second problem is the smokers all accumulate right outside our windows because they are not allowed to smoke in the complex. So that goes into our window as well. As a result, my chest hurts continuously, I sneeze in the morning everyday, and I never feel any privacy. The complex's general population are a mixed bag of people. Some are really nice and have been here a while. Most of the tenants do not stay very long. You never really get to build friendships with neighbors. I attribute this to the continual 20% increases. Thankfully a law was passed and they can no longer do this to tenants. Yet, what does it say about Dalton Management Company that they do not care to have people remain in their units? They are in the business of serving people. I wonder how they would feel if the bank rose their interest rates by 20% on their loans? Oh here is a funny "requirement" not even reasonable when you think about it. Our dogs are only allowed to pee and poop in the grass by accident! No seriously... Think about it. Yes clean up after your animal The inside of the apartments are clean and their are multiple inspections. Yes, I did say multiple inspections. They came into my place for a "annual" inspection and they came twice. It is intrusive to have a myriad of people trouncing through my home and I feel anxiety about it. The grounds are lovely. They have landscapers that change out the flowers pretty regularly. Overall, I would move to a place that has a garage and probably pay the same as here. This place needs less all business and more caring about the people that live in your places. Honestly!
Signed a 15 month lease at these apartments, was a big mistake. The management is not good, hard to deal with and rude. They don’t fix things promptly, we have had to fix many things on our own. They charge too much for such little and awkward space. People are constantly moving out and the now leasing signs are constantly out. The office hours suck and they aren’t always there during the office hours. The speed bumps just about break your car if you go faster than a crawl. There are ants and spiders everywhere and no one takes care of them. There is hardly any parking for guest either. I do not recommend renting here until big changes are made.
The property is really clean and quiet. No complaints in the year I've been here.
The apartments are spacious and Affordable. Not many apartments fit a king size bed but these ones do. The staff is great and they take care of maintenance concerns immediately. Great place to live!
Nice place. The bonus is that they have two bathrooms big rooms nice kitchen and did I mention two bathrooms lol
New Heritage Apartments has the perfect example of a mixture of good staff, quality living and clean presentation. No matter what problems Im having the management is always willing to help and make you feel as comfortable as possible.
I have lived at the new heritage apartments for three years now and I really enjoy living here, the only thing I wish could change is if they made an area outside for the kids to play at but it's only a 5-10 min walk to the closest park, so that isn't to bad. I really like the location because it's right in the middle of town.
I've been living at New Heritage Apartments for about 6 months now and so far have had a great experience with them. Management and maintenance are both nice. Neighbors are nice and quiet. I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone. I also love how close it is to everything.
WSG is not included so you end up paying about the same if you were to rent from a nicer complex. Not only that but I have never had so many rules—within three days of moving in we were written up for having our friend help us move some stuff in and she had her dog in the car. We were threatened with eviction if we made another offense. They don’t have spare mail keys (we were issued only one between three adults), parking is a nightmare, and the speed bumps literally broke the suspension on my car. We were threatened again when my roommate had to replace his car battery and were told we can’t do that on the premises, so he had to roll the dead car out to the busy street and do it there in the middle of the night after the work day. The maintenance guys gave us a huge window for when they were going to show up (over like three days and no time frame) and we all work. Just a very annoying situation anytime we have to deal with someone from the complex. You shouldn’t have to avoid talking to the managers out of inconvenience or worry they’re not going to be of much help. This is just a very strict complex and is not worth the price, we are counting down the days until our lease is up and we can move. We’re in our 20s and have never had problems renting before and are good tenants but have felt like we were not welcome from day one. I tried to contact the Portland management and they never responded. I read poor reviews on here before we moved in and wish I would have listened to them
This place is obviously a nice place ...from the outside. Management is rude and hard to deal with. Feels like your not even wanted around after the lease has been signed. Parking is tight. They claim they follow the rules but seems like they accommodate some more than others. No utilities are paid for by the apartment complex. Save yourself the money and headache of dealing with New Heritage and employees.
Moved to Albany for school and this place was great at first glance. Biggest mistake ever. Management is very rude and uncomfortable to deal with, appliances barely work, apartment itself is falling apart(closet doors fall off, walls are flaking apart) there isn't enough parking and you frequently are forced to park in the street. Whatever you do, don't lease here and find a different apartment. It's not worth your time or the amount that expect you to pay.
Nice, quiet, easy to find apartments. Washer and dryer hookups, spacious living quarters, tons of visitor parking, and a manager that follows the rules makes this apartment complex a great place to be at.
