I was also excited to see the new clubhouse, the gym, conference space and much more. The floor plans are spacious and the price is unbeatable. So glad communities like this still exist.

I can’t put in to words how disappointing this complex was. The apartment itself was dark with no lighting any rooms other than the kitchen and dining room and was gloomy despite our attempts to make it feel like home it never felt like a good place to live. The water pressure was so bad that you couldn’t run water more than one place at a time and you always had to flush twice. The first day we moved in I requested 3 things to be fixed. This included a wall that had not been finished being painted, a dried crust-like substance on the carpet and the kitchen faucet. In the entire year we live there none of these were ever fixed. About 2 months into living here we have a leak in our ceiling from an outside faucet that the landscaping crew turned on. They “fixed” this leak by spraying over the water stains in the ceiling. They ran our power bill up by $75 by running fans in our apartment for a week straight and when I requested reimbursement they ignored all my emails and when I asked the office in person they said they would have to pass it along to someone else. Of course, I never heard back. The leak had caused about 2 inches of flood damage in the living area which resulted in the baseboards falling apart. We requested a repair. Never happened. The front gates always had problems and issues creating lines at night that backed up all the way to the main road. As for the residents of Yester Oaks, clean up was not in their vocabulary. There was trash tossed in the woods, on the sidewalk, and beside the trash compactor(yes, 4 feet from tossing it in the compactor but choosing not too). Dog’s messes were left everywhere and you couldn’t walk outside without the worry of stepping in something. And then when it was time to move out, they held up our mortgage because they wouldn’t send our renter verification, claiming we hadn’t live there the entire time. DONT LIVE AT YESTER OAKS, you will regret your entire stay. I wish someone had warned us.

I am never the one to do a bad review but this is unbearable and maybe this will get some attention and the folks at the leasing office will take some action. I have reported this issue with rats running in my backyard for the last month with no updates or assistance. I am scare to sit in my backyard or even open the door because most time I encounter rats running from one end to the next. I don’t store anything in my backyard but my patio set. However my neighbor stores their trash and junk in their backyard. I’ve emailed the office 3 times, whenever I call the phone rings with no answer. THIS IS RIDICULOUS

Where to start? There are so many things wrong with this place, and instead of fixing the actual problems, staff/corporate just tries to make it seem fancier without really making anything better. 1. The pool, one of the primary amenities that is listed, hasn't been operational for years. 2. The trash compactor is constantly full, with garbage overflowing all around it. 3. The A/C units are outdated, and they refuse to replace them even though it is recommended by a professional that larger units be installed. 4. The newly "fixed" gate is the worst attempt at community security that I've ever seen. The main gate is the only one with a card reader, which forces all residents to drive over the river and through the woods just to get out of the neighborhood. WHICH shouldn't be necessary since there is a second exit/entrance near half of the complex. But that gate is closed by 6pm. 6 PM. Half of us aren't even home from work by then. So this causes huge backups at the main gate and an increase of traffic through the apartment complex, because either no one can figure out how to use the card system, or it is so slow that it's a joke. Oh and don't forget that the secondary gate isn't automatic, so we are waiting for the staff to open it by hand. This is inconvenient for workers and school kids. Some parents can't even get their child to the bus stop because the gate won't open for them! Not to mention it's a safety hazard. In the event of an emergency, residents can't leave through the nearest exit. Imagine a large emergency where people are panicking (unlikely but it could happen). No one thinks rationally in those scenarios, and with only the one exit (that is notoriously slow and complicated) it would cause chaos! This doesn't even factor in if an emergency vehicle needs to get in. The gates are so old and broken, it would probably be faster for the firetruck to be a battering ram. So instead of making life better for the residents, Yester Oaks is more concerned with making life an inconvenience in the hopes that we will all move out. That way they can "renovate" the empty units and then charge even more for rent to any new residents foolish enough to move here. DON'T LIVE HERE.

We have started to make some changes to the Ballards rooms, so it has more up today games and is more inviting. The gates, I know, have been an adjustment with one way in and out in the evening. The back entrance, unfortunately, was only designed for emergencies. Emergency personnel can access the property if they need to after hours. As for your HVAC unit, please come by the Leasing Office or call so we can discuss your issue with the HVAC unit and let's see how we can resolve the issue. I travel a lot for work. I've lived in I cities in 4 states in the last 6 years. This is the worst living situation I've ever been in. There is ZERO sound proofing in my apartment. That's no exaggeration. I can hear even a conversational tone from every door and window in the entire place. It's as if they aren't even there. I have had to hear my neighbor's barking dog constantly on the porch for months. The complex won't do anything about it. Even inside with noise cancelling headphones, I can't get any relief. I feel really uncomfortable in my own home. Otherwise, the building is outdated and kinda dingey. They put in relatively new appliances, but the construction is really old with lots of moisture warping, dings, and discoloration to the walls, baseboards, and floors. The HVAC is outdated. It often swings from too hot to too cold. Bugs are constantly a problem. There's a musty smell that I can't seem to get out. There isn't enough parking and my building is on a hill that requires moving furniture, carrying groceries,etc a really long way. This place is way overpriced for what you get. I'm actually choosing to not extend my lucrative work contract in Greensboro to get away from this living situation. The housing market is rough right now, but avoid this place if you can.

There is a rat infestation that the office knows about & has failed be active about the situation. There are NO amenities… NO POOL, NO TENNIS COURT, NO GYM & is NOT.l a gated community, the gates havent worked in 4 years.

Do not move here unless you like paying outrageous amounts for dilapidating town homes. Everything was fine until Hawthorne took over in the middle of our lease. My 3 year old sons ceiling had caved in due to excessive rain. It took a month for them to fix this. I found out it was because there was a miscommunication between maintenance and the management team (because she was on vacation). When they finally fixed it, the company they contracted, tracked dirt all over our house and washed their hands in our children’s bathroom clogging the sink with drywall. The went through our things, found our plumber that was next to our washer, attempted to unclog it, they were unsuccessful and they left the dirty sink full of water and our Plummer in the floor. Our 1 year only almost ate drywall. They also found one of our light bills and wrote on it, “ran out of wall paint.” It has yet to be painted. This was two months ago and they have been over twice to fix the bathroom and it is still clogged. Also, when we drain the tub water leaks out of the toilet, they have attempted to fix this problem three times it is still leaking,l. It’s very unfortunate this property has gone down hill so much. The grounds are not kept up, meaning we cannot even let our kids play outside without them picking up trash, glass or poop. We loved living here. Not anymore. Be warned.

Our three bedroom town home showed evidence of the kitchen floor buckling. I reported it to the office,and before long, the old floor was removed, the kitchen and dining room leveled out and new flooring flooring put it. It is beautiful! The two young men who arrived to perform the work arrived early and were very polite and professional. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with the job that they performed, as we feel like it is an entirely new home! Thanks again to everyone involved in the processed!

I have lived at Yester Oaks Apartments for 12 years and I love this complex with its beautiful landscaped grounds. I loved the old maintenance crew but changes are underway at Yester Oaks and I am very pleased to hear of the new improvements! I also want to say that as much as I loved the "old" maintenance crew the new crew are definitely one of the wonderful improvements. The new maintenance crew are friendly, considerate and go above and beyond to assist you. I would recommend this complex to anyone who wants a nice community where you feel safe and can rest assured that they will take care of their residents! I hope to have many more years at Yester Oaks.

I have lived here for 3 years now and have absolutely no complaints! The grounds are well kept, office and maintenance staff are very friendly and efficient. I work in the apartment industry and recommend Yester Oaks to many people (shh!). Overall very peaceful and nice community to live in!

If I could give 0 stars, I definitely would. I have lived in 4 apartments in Greensboro and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. The ladies seem nice at first when they want you to sign the lease, but once you're here, it's a different story. When maintenance issues happen that aren't your fault, you're scared to call in about them because they will find a way to make it your fault so that you have to pay. Neighbors are out and loud at all hours of the day and night. Packages and mail have been stolen from our door. There are ALWAYS bugs in the house. I get it, bugs happen, but I keep my place clean and there are still more here than any other place I've lived, including one that was backed up to woods. Don't sign that lease, it's really not worth it.

I came looking for a two bedroom apartment and found a two bedroom home. This place is amazing, it has a wonder landscape to enjoy from all different locations of the property. The club house is beautiful with great game room for the young and older crowd. The staff is so nice and very helpful. I have no complaints with this establishment. I have recommended it to others who have also moved in. If you are looking for a home then come check this amazing place out.

I went to talk to the lady at the office and she was VERY professional and nice! I asked a ton of questions and she didn't have an attitude and she answered my questions to the best of her knowledge that alone is making me even more excited about completing an application!
