Situated along the Ohio River in southwestern Indiana, Newburgh is the setting for idyllic suburban scenes and an incredible, family-oriented community. Dazzling apartment communities, newer residential developments, and colorful longstanding homes can be found near the water or farther north near Camp Brosend. Unique local eateries and cafes line Jennings Street and State Street along with community parks and gardens.
Newburg is popular with families because of its relative affordability and incredible public schools. John H. Castle Elementary and Castle South Middle are just a few of the highly-rated institutes that serve the residents of the area. Newburgh’s proximity to Interstate 69 and the Kentucky and Illinois borders means it’s easy to explore this charming Midwest region.

Property Ratings at Oak Grove Crossing
Lived here for almost two years and never have had a bad experience. Maintenance is prompt with work orders and always nice! They keep the grounds clean. I love that I can go into the office to pick up my packages instead of leaving them at my door. The girls in the office are always pleasant and helpful!
Property Manager at Oak Grove Crossing, Responded To This Review
Hi there! Thanks for giving us 5-stars. We're so happy you've enjoyed living here the last 2 years. We appreciate the kind words about our team, too. As always, please let us know if you need anything and we hope you have a good day!
These units are spacious and very comfortable. I have lived here for 6 years and this is the best complex i have lived in. The maintenance department is prompt and very helpful. Emergency maintenance is also prompt for any issues. I’ve had an emergency HVAC over the weekend and maintenance was there in less than an hour to look at it and start fixing. Lauren and her staff are always kind and courteous. I rarely have complaints but few times I did, issues were dealt with promptly and professionally. I thoroughly enjoy living at Oak Grove.
Property Manager at Oak Grove Crossing, Responded To This Review
Wow! Cannot thank you enough for all of your kind words about our staff and their collective efforts to make sure that your time here has been nothing but positive and any issues are promptly addressed. Please be sure to let us know right away if you were to need anything going forward.
The apartment units themselves are nice and new. However a lack of parking and lack of amenities make this complex less than desirable. They meter your water and you get charged from a third party, so ultimately they can charge whatever they want. Cable is not included. Trash is not included. Look elsewhere and you will find a much better value. I agree with most people here when they say the management is terrible. It is almost as if she talks down to you after you sign the lease. When you move out, they automatically deduct your "last water bill" from your deposit- in my case they charged me for water that the usage was dated AFTER I moved out. I found this out by calling the water company first since Oak Grove did not provide me with a statement before they charged me. It is sad that they are wasting a nice facility because they won't pay a little more for their residents and with poor management.
I have lived at Oak Grove for some time now, I love the apartment itself. Clean, new, with nice amenities. The issue I have is the MANAGER is very rude and condesending. She was nice when showing the apartment, but after you sign she becomes short and abrupt with any questions or concerns. The maintenance and office STAFF are wonderful, kind and helpful. However since I have lived there the office staff has changed every time I go to the office (about monthly), I am sure because the Manager is so difficult to work with.
I have 2 medium sized dogs both around 40lbs. when someone is at the door they react, and when someone enters the house that they don't know when my fiance or myself aren't there they get defensive. that being said the apartment likes to conduct semi random checks giving "notice" by stuffing a piece of paper in the door stating that they will be by in the morning. if my fiance and I get home from work late and have to go back early the next morning there is no time to place the dogs in a kennel nor should I be expected to pay for one. they are not considerate of other people's professional or personal lives. the apartments are nice, but small and overpriced with no great amenities.
It has been decades since I've lived in an apartment. It took me quite some time to find a new apartment complex with reasonable rent fees. I live in a 3 bedroom on the 2nd floor. I am adjusting to apartment living but I am having difficulty getting used to hearing the movements of those below/above me and those in the entry way. The steps in the entry way are wooden and quite noisy and sit up against the wall of the master bedroom; I'm constantly hearing my neighbors coming and going. The amenities are nice too; a salt water pool with an outdoor fireplace/sitting area, a business center, laundry area and small fitness room. I wish there were playgrounds on the property; management seems to think that the local schools are adequate but they are not as handy as a play ground right on the property. I also wish they would strategically place doggie trash cans throughout the property too and enforce that those pet owners are picking up after their animals. It's a bit frustrating to see the droppings on the ground.
