Property Ratings at Oakstone
It is a good place to live, it is organized and clean, the people who work there and manage it are very friendly and efficient, always attentive to help and maintain the apartments well. I always want to go back there.
Don't bother with these guys, the neighborhood is sketchy, the cops were in and out multiple times a week, a car two doors down from us was completely vandalized beyond repair, this place is not a safe place for your family. We had a neighbor who was constantly on drugs and allowing new people to come live with him and he informed us one of the people were trying to break into our home through the attic. When we informed the complex they just told us the cops have been informed and did nothing to correct the situation. After 2 1/2 years of living here our living room/upstairs flooded twice (once due to their out dated washer breaking and causing water to flood upstairs and through the wall to the living room, then the other from the expansion tank for the water heater getting a leak and flooding our living room again) and upon moving out they charged us $500 extra saying the damage to the carpet was due to pet urine damage, mind you we never had a single animal in our town house the ENTIRE time we lived there. All they did was say they could break the $500 into payments. These guys are inconsiderate, and it is not worth your time or money or the safety of your family.
Living at Oakstone Townhomes has its ups and downs. I love having 4 bedrooms and 3 baths but the living room/dining area tends to be a little small. There are also some rules that I find a little ridiculous. We can't have window clings, kids are not allowed to use sidewalk chalk, and the garage cannot be used for storage. On a good note, the office staff are really nice and the maintenance crew works hard to keep on top of repairs. The pool and hot tub are a great way to relax. If you are looking for a place for family with children, I would recommend Oakstone Townhomes and Country Oaks Apartments.
