Property Ratings at Olivia Terrace
They responded to my work orders quickly, the new management is a pleasure to work with
This has not change with the Management changes i visited the place it looks Good from Out, but the Internal Apartment is an old, where as the rent charged is two high as compare to the other apartment on the side. You should definitely check for other option, this is not at all good , also understood they need money for everything, I heard they take security deposit check for the Elevator & They do not have online facility to pay the rent, if you are delayed a day to pay the rent, you are charged with heavy fine. Think before you make a deal with this
New management did change the interiors of the building but it's still an old building with very old and slow elevator. New super is nice but new management is greedy. They would charge you late fee if your rent is late one day and if it's late by few days they'll summon you to court. They won't respond to your emails or fix your apartment. The AC in my unit was broken because of all the construction the new mgmt was doing and they sent someone who claimed to have fixed it and it wasn't. After that they were dodging my emails until I told them I would sue. After 2 months of ignored emails and sending people who claims they have fixed the AC they finally told me it can't be fixed and I have the option of moving out. How generous of them! So I asked them to return my security deposit ASAP and they only sent it after a month. I asked them where the interest on the deposit is and now they're ignoring me again. So I do not recommend this apartment at all! There are plenty of other nicer apartments on the block with doorman, swimming pool, and other amenities. They have none of those and they're charging the same amount of rent as the ones with those amenities.
Obviously the previous review was before the sale of the building to the new owners. The new owners have made a complete and fantastic renovations to the building and interior apartments. almost everything is brand new, including the interior of the elevator. All stairways have been updated, all lighting have been updated and improved, hallways have been modernized. As far as the greedy super is concerned, he has been fired, and replaced by a caring young man who is very dedicated, polite, and just wonderful to talk with. The security is second to none, and is safe as can be. i will have no reservations recommending this apartment building to anyone seeking a secure and modern apartment for rent. I have lived here for almost 20 years, and the improvements are beyond words....................SAL GRANDE, APT D1
This building should be the last option for anyone until and unless its not an urgency for them to move and they cannot find ANYTHING... Super over here is extremely greedy and management seems to favor him. He asks money even for the smallest of the thing and if you dont he threatens you that he will not let you take the deposit money back once you will be leaving the building. Since his apt is right at the entrance, most of the time the lobby will stink like crazy. Building is very old, no doubts about that but super makes it worse to live in. Elevator keeps breaking every second month and if you tell super he says, thats not his job. if washing machine breaks ( which are really really old too) he says thats not his job either. Why this management have kept him, you may ask? well to harass people.. Good points : hot water is included, few apartments are really nice , patios are big. I wont be surprised if this review doesnt get published because if you look for this apartment you wont find any reviews.
