Property Ratings at Olmsted Falls Village
When I first saw this place I was very excited by the seemingly modern renovations and location. However after a few months of living here it became very apparent that the upgrades were cheap aesthetic coverups for very serious issues. Several things broke, the water heater was tiny so you got about maybe 10 minutes of hot water and all the ventilation would emit a musty damp smell. It was never made clear to me that the building was a smoking building. The connected ventilation and heavy smoking (indoors) of all the neighbors created a very unhealthy enviroment. The walls around our vents were literally discolored from the smoke coming from other units. Neighbors were alright, however there was constant barking and children screaming/running around in the halls. Management was terrible, very rude and sleazy about their business practices. Nothing was ever cleaned properly, maintenance never kept up with anything until pestered continuously about it. Hallways were supposed to be redone but they couldn't even be bothered to clean them. There was never any parking especially in the winter, snowplows would block us in with snow and leave the surfaces icy. Make sure to leave a notice 60 days ahead of time, as management will only notify you 2 weeks after the date you need to tell them. They then will extend your lease and charge you month per month with an additional $100 late fee. When I asked about my security deposit they told me I asked too many questions and when I finally received it they deducted for things that weren't true. Overall it was better than their other properties however for what they were charging and all the problems mentioned was not worth it.
