This community is good. It's not the best looking, and there are bugs, but the management team makes an effort to bring in pest control as well as maintenance to fix up the place. I do enjoy seeing families, it feels very friendly and safe. This place has character!

It has been nothing but one negative thing after another with this property. Nine months and we still don't have a stove or refrigerator that work and now we have no dishwasher. You would be smart to stay away from this property.

The community is lovely and maintenance is on top of things.

If you don't mind fighting roaches every time you go into the kitchen this place is for you. Sorry, the living experience has had zero redeeming qualities.

I enjoy living here. The apartment is a very good size. I like that we have laundry hookups in the apartment. Looking forward to living here for awhile.

This is the worst complex I’ve ever lived at. Nothing is separating us from our upstairs neighbors but a thin sheet of wood. I can hear EVERYTHING upstairs. I have a small baby that is woken up at least 20 times a night due to my upstairs neighbor. I can’t get him to sleep in his crib because he wakes up all night and it takes time to put him back to sleep only for him to be woken up again minutes later 20 times a night. This has resulted it bedsharing which is proven dangerous just so I can get a couple hours of rest. I have a leaking ceiling and mold problem that still isn’t resolved after almost 2 weeks. If I could give this complex negative stars I would. I will never rent from beztak again.

Nice community, nice neighbors, great location, safe environment, fair pricing. I’m happy to live here. Plan to stay til God calls me home ??

Upgrade units, rent is going up. With no upgrades.

Horrible place to live. HVAC unit has been damaged since I moved in. Utility bill has skyrocketed and they refuse to fix or replace the unit causing my bill to skyrocket. Neither have they offered any type of compensation or rent decrease.

Pros • Management/front office and maintenance were very good in my experience with them. • “Classic” style apartments are affordable although being phased out. Renovated apartments are pretty nice, but value proposition compared to other similarly priced apartments is tenuous. • Common areas (swimming pool, lounge in office, small fitness center) are nice and never crowded. Cons • In my experience, the types of neighbors you get are a mixed bag. I lived next to a very loud family who left trash outside and smoked weed outside our doors. I lived near a neighbor with a loud dog. You may get that anywhere you rent but I think the price point of the Classic units does attract those types. Many of my neighbors were quiet and clean. • Noise was a big problem. The trash trucks sometimes came as early as 3:30 am. The aforementioned neighbors. Trains can be heard from a distance (area-wide, nothing to do with these apartments, but be warned). Neighbors with unusually noisy vehicles including honking, revving, slamming doors, car alarms. • The drawers and cabinets in Classic apartments are extremely poor quality. Overall: most of the problems aren’t indicative of the apartments themselves nor the apartment staff; however, your enjoyment of the apartments may depend on how well you can tolerate the other tenants. That is of course an issue anywhere you rent, but much more so here. That may change some as more apartments are renovated and price points increase.

The staff are very accommodating and patient during the leasing process and moving in. The apartment was clean and spacious.

Current management is right on top of things. I appreciate their caring attitude and professionalism. I consider them my friends.

The office staff we have now is great. After a few rotations of people over last couple of years, hope these stay. Great communication and really working to make it the best place to live.

my experience at the retreat as been so far so good ! the staff here is very nice and made everything smooth as possible! I would like to also give a shout out to Mrs.Kesha for making my move in experience the best !

We show up with our moving truck and there are still maintenance workers in our apartment. They came in 2 days later to fix the shower and toilet in one bathroom, while the other bathroom didn't even have hinges, so no privacy in the only working bathroom. We've been here for 2 months and the bathtub drips, one of the fans doesn't work, we are still missing 3 door hinges, and there are holes in one of the closets preventing us from hanging up clothes. Those are all problems from the moment we moved in. I've submitted maintenance requests and hear nothing. I'm only still here because we signed a year lease.

I am enjoying my home at the Retreat at Sherwood. I feel safe and I have friendly neighbors. I plan to live out the rest of my years in my apartment...so I appreciate the the attention if I have any future maintenance issues. Thank you for caring.

Initial move in process was frustrating due to changes in management. However, I’m glad I stuck with it. I’m happy here and plan on this being my final home.

I would not recommend The RETREAT of Sherwood to my friends. My experience here has not been the best. Just pay your rent on time, but we do not care about you. We are in this for the money.

I would not recommend that anyone lease at the Retreat at Sherwood. Management is incompetent, maintenance does not get completed in a timely manner, and the cleaning is a joke. Yes, the rent may be cheap compared to other apartments but you get what you pay for.

Well, I just moved until the apartment complex but so far, I enjoy the professionalism of the front office and maintenance. They take care of if their tenants needs and the apartments are well kept.

I have nothing nice to say other than its a convenient location.

Overall is a good place to live. Convenient to hop on freeway to get to work and plenty of parking.

This is an excellent place to live. Starting with the floor plan. The buildings were thoughtfully designed with closet and bathroom space from the different units backing onto each other as much as possible thus minimizing sound transfer across the different units. The floor plan is excellent for furnishing and livability. The floor plan in many apartments is designed in a line. For example, from from the font door, to get to the kitchen you have to walk through the middle of the living room etc, The Retreat apartments are designed with the front door in the middle of the kitchen, dining room and living room. This way you don't have walk through one room to get to another and the bedrooms are down a private hall. It is a great floor plan design. The staff is friendly and attentive, the grounds are kept clean and neat and every neighbor I have has quickly become a great friend. I would live nowhere else, and neither should you.

The apartment is an older building and there are a few crime activities going on in this area but the law enforcement is actively patrolling for our safety in our community almost 24/7. Retreat at Sherwood does not include a washer and dryer, and all utilities are separate.

Love the location and apartment. Maintenance is quick and gets the job done.

Look elsewhere, people smoke in these units. From cigarettes to weed, you can smell it in your apartment. Walls are paper thin, the dumpsters are always overflowing with trash. The only thing about this place, is the location. Other than that they are overpriced.

Retreat at Sherwood is a great place to call Home. The Management Staff make you feel special by how quickly repairs are made once the problem has been acknowledged and a solution is identified.

I was approved for a 3 bedroom, on a specific unit. The property called me, and asked if I was still moving on the specific date. I said yes, I was about to pay my deposit. I get a call back stating that the people In the unit canceled their vacate day. I had paid for the whole year for the rental insurance, on this specific unit. They offered a 2 bedroom. I said no I have two kids, then they offered me an upgraded 3 bedroom. That is not in my budget. They called back that day, and said someone was moving out of a 3 bedroom. I called this morning to pay my deposit, the property manager said that she had to make sure that the person is completely out. This unit is suppose to be ready 3/12. I have a moving company that I had to call back and see if they could move me earlier. Thankfully they can. I’m not sure what the new unit number is, when I called she said she has to make sure they are out. I have to get utilities turned on. It’s just been a nightmare trying to move.

I haven't had any issues with new management. I also love the makeover, remodeling, painting and parking upgrades. I hope to continue livig here as ongas possible.

Great diverse and inclusive community of residents. No other apartment will have as much closet/storage space. This property is very quiet with respectful neighbors. The office personnel is always responsive whether answering the phone promptly or returning a message left. Rent dollars are visually perpetuated back into the upkeep of the property. Definitely, the best value for rent dollars spent!

The apartments don't seem to have a lot of the amenities of other places I've lived. There are no microwaves or garbage disposals. They also don't have an exercise room. They are making some improvements to the complex, such as fixing the roads (they were full of potholes), and distributing trash bins throughout the complex. It took them months to open the pool and there seems to be a bit of a crime problem. There is a courtesy officer, but he can't be everywhere at all times. The apartments themselves are very spacious and the rooms are very large. The front gates don't work, so anyone could come in, except when the police is posted out by the gate. If you are looking for affordability, then these are what you are looking for.
