North Highland encompasses the thin sliver of residential land tucked between Fort Bennett Park and the Custis Memorial Parkway. The neighborhood belongs to the Rosslyn region, which in turn stands as an urban village in Arlington. Just three and a half miles west of Washington, DC, the tiny neighborhood provides working professionals with a safe haven to retreat after work. Residents include highly educated professionals and some families who both want to take advantage of excellent housing options and a wealth of employment opportunities both in neighboring areas and the city. Former and current residents say the area surpasses others for its stunning views and easy commute, but the active community in Rosslyn distinguishes it even further.

Property Ratings at Park Georgetown
I lived at Park Georgetown for 12 years after college. I moved around to 4 different apartments on the property as my needs changed. Park Georgetown was my first adult home, my first marital home, and my sanctuary during COVID-19. I only moved out because my wife and I recently became homeowners. There are many reasons to love this property: Value: Arlington is awash these days with luxury apartments and rates are skyrocketing. Park Georgetown is very affordable (especially with roommate(s)) considering the location. Parking is included with the rent, which honestly is a major boon for this area. Living Space: The apartments are older as the property was built in 1952, but clean and very comfortable. They recently updated the windows so the units retain heat in winter and stay cooler in the summer. Doing so helped us save on electricity bills. We rarely ever had any issues with vermin. Maintenance: The best. The maintenance crew are always very fast and very reliable. I never had a service ticket go unresolved beyond 24 hours. Onsite Management: Excellent. The management staff are very responsive to tenant needs and care very much for the property. Community events like BBQs, dog socials, etc. are plentiful. Amenities: The gym is small, but adequate to meet most fitness needs. They recently put in new washer/dryers in the laundry rooms (of which there are many across the property) that allow you to pay and check the status of your laundry from your phone. The package concierge system is very convenient and secure. There's a community garden, BBQ pits, and a lovely community patio. Not a lot of fancy amenities, but honestly with DC on your doorstep there really isn't a need for them. Plus there's no separate amenities fee unlike other luxury apartments. Safety: Incredibly quiet and safe community tucked into Northern Rosslyn. We never had any problems. It's the kind of place where you can take a walk or run late at night with no fear. Location: Just a 10 - 15 min walk from the metro and circulator. An easy walk to Courthouse, Georgetown, and Clarendon (or short drive). It's a perfect jumping off point to enjoy DC and Northern Virginia. Pets: VERY DOG FRIENDLY. A lot of tenants have dogs on the property. Overall: Park Georgetown is a wonderful place to live and I cannot recommend it enough. I hope this review has helped you on your search. Good hunting and welcome to DC!
it is near target, Safeway, metro station, and bus station. We usually walk to GTW which costs us less than 30 mins. It's far away from the noisy road so we could have a peaceful night. its rental price is cheaper than those in other apartments around us. We have no carpet because we live on the 2nd floor so it would be a little cold in winter. Though it is old but windows and walls are well-painted before we moved in. Chris helped us move the mattress on the first day we moved in. Emilia helped us print files. And Stephanie, they are all kind and nice to help us solve problems. We want to recommend this apartment.
DO NOT RENT! This is a VERY OLD place and they only patch problems...no improvements. Worst year of my life. -CAN SEE YOU SHOWERING FROM OUTSIDE; frosted shower window lets everyone see your silhouette if you shower with the lights on in the bathroom. CAREFUL LADIES! You will notice lids and all kinds of bottles on shower windowsills...that's why. - SHARED BUILDING WATER HEATER - NO INSULATION: walls are block.Winter is freezing w/ice inside windows. Cold breeze literally coming from walls. Summer is hot. -UNSALTED STAIRS IN WINTER -BUGS: bugs bugs bugs. Spiders, ants, centipedes, silverfish, mites all over rusty shower window and spread thru apt. Pest control couldn't stop them. Came for bi-weekly treatments May-Present. Management said they were looking for somewhere warm...umm its summer in VA...it is HOT. Also suggested it was from my dogs...interesting because I've never seen them before, never had to call pest control in any other apartment, and they are on the shower window! So unless my 2 large dogs are somehow matrix-laying on the shower window wall their theory is impossible. -LAUNDRY ROOM: No one cleans dryer vents & others hair ends up all over your clothes. About $3.20 to wash/dry 1 load. -PAINT: Layer after layer of paint -HOT WATER: shower and sink will not warm up until you run the tub. Maintenance told me it was because I was 2 floors up and it takes a while for the hot water to get there. I let sink run for 2 minutes while using toothbrush timer and it was still cold. -BATHROOM SINK CLOGS: when dishwasher is running. -Management provides inaccurate info to get you to sign. Told me I could change locations if a top floor opens up before I move in. Turns out that was wrong. After two poor surveys I did, asst mgr said I could move early. I specifically asked if there would be any fees she said no. When I contacted them that I found a new place they said nope...you'll have to pay 2 mo rent plus fees. I'm sorry...there are mites all over that you have been treating bi-weekly since May and there is little improvement! -NO UPKEEP: No building upkeep or outside cleaning. Windows/shrubs have spider webs, gutters overflow. Regional mgr Glenn said in July: they have been talking about hiring pressure washers since January, they sent out survey for replacement windows (maybe you should just replace them all instead of being so cheap.
I've lived in Park Georgetown for over a little over a year now and I've been very happy with my experience. The apartment is relatively large and has an abundance of windows that let in tons of natural light. It's a ten minute walk (10-15, depending on how fast you walk) to the metro or georgetown and is very convenient. For DC the rent is pretty cheap, especially considering how responsive management is. Great complex in Arlington.
