Property Ratings at Portofino
Management went from bad to worse since I started living here a couple of years. A few months ago our air conditioning broke and it took them 3 weeks to fix it. It broke again last week and it doesn't matter if we call, text, email, or visit the local or head office, they won't answer us, fix the problem, or give us a temporary unit to ensure that the apartment doesn't consistently stay above 85°. We had to send my grandmother to stay with a relative because it's no longer safe for her living in here. I wouldn't recommend anyone live here unless you are extremely desperate. I don't know how this company hasn't been reported yet.
Our toilet was broke for 8 months and they told us it was a non emergency because we have 2 toilets , they don’t fix anything! And they never set up my alarm system and they charge us for it ! Also there’s so many outlets in this apartment that don’t work !
I lived there for 5 years and now I moved I lelf the apartment in perfect conditions painted, clean no holes in the wall and they stole my deposite $1400 because I was authorized for the previous administration to change the floor due to my baby’’s allergies ... and they want a paper in writing to give me my refound.... and besides that I own them money .... this condo is full of people using and selling drugs , there is not security the tires from the cars has been stolen to many residents... but the administration doesn’t care about. To renew a contract they want 6 months of your checking and savings account that is unrespectful they do not care about the money in your account . Please focus on the security and maintenance of the apartments that are all full of cockroaches and eliminate the drugs in the condominium.I do not recommend this place
The community only has 1 trash compactor at the entrance of the. complex for the WHOLE complex. There are NO dumpsters or trash bins of ANY kind available through out the property. That leads to displaced trash within the community. The residents drive their cars with trash bags on the body of their vehicles as they drive their trash to the compactor at the entrance. Many times that leads to trash falling onto the property and not being picked up by the residents. The residents throw chicken bones from their balconies into the grounds of the property. The buildings have roaches because of this very kind of behavior. The property is also full of young children that enjoy screaming through out the property. That destroys the peace to the complex entirely. I would not recommend this complex unless there is not another option available.
Management dictates what you can or cannot do. They are all up on your business. They will come into your apartment for "inspections" almost every month. You'd like to go home to find peace, not a piece of paper telling you about the next schedule "maintenance visit".
Portofino is the best place to live, this is mi opinion.
The place in general, is nice. The biggest problem is the manager (Joanne), she is rude and does not know anything. She is not an approachable person and does not do anything. I lived here for 12 years and prefer the previous manager. I gave 3 stars just because of the community itself, if not I would give 1 star maybe 2 and that's pushing it. No I would not recommend this community as I wouldn't want my friends and family dealing with this manager here. I am looking for another place to move, yea it's that bad.
Excelent service from office staff to maintenance.
