Wedged between Dallas and the DFW International Airport, Irving is a major part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. If you choose to live in an Irving apartment, everything you want is right outside your door, from major sports events to amazing shopping and dining to theme parks to golf courses to museums and theaters. Irving is home to the University of Dallas, North Lake College, the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas, and the Irving Mall.
Neighborhoods in Irving are as stunning as they are varied. From trendy downtown loft apartments to suburban mansions and everything in between, Irving has a community designed for you. While commuting throughout the Metroplex is simple with nearby highways like I-635 and the President Geroge Bush Turnpike, businesses like Kimberly-Clark, ExxonMobil, Abbott Laboratories, AT&T, and Citigroup are all located in Irving, many near the live-work-play neighborhood of Las Colinas -- home of the famous Mustangs at Las Colinas sculpture.
Learn more about living in IrvingProperty Ratings at Rolling Hills
I have live there almost 10 year, so obviously it not horrible. Unless there is a vacant updated apt, these are old. Too concerned with ensuring the parking lot looks good, but what about the inside? Bug problems, Maintenance leave your doors unlock, too many children unsupervised, 90 Hispanic in this community, and they treat the complex as if they have bought an actual home. Trashy, one home taking too many parking spots. Maintenance trucks are parked in the residential area instead of near the office. Not well insulated windows. Near Walmart, Burger King, McDonalds. Irving Mall is across Hwy 183. Too much congestion due to freeway repair to add toll road. Potholes nearby. Assistant manager is sometimes rude, and I would request the property manager. They as well as maintenance live in the complex. THERE IS NO FITNESS FACILITY. A mini soccer field, a little swimming pool, and a playground. Too many entrances to the complex.
The management/maintenance people are very professional and very nice. Lived there for ten months, every problem I had, reported, and maintenance guy rapidly showed. Pros: - Cheap - Quite neighborhood - Good management - Next to Walmart, Irving mall and a lot of shoppings Cons: - Old apartment, old appliances - No fitness facility
