Property Ratings at Seneca Ridge
This is a low income housing complex that pulls in full price renters with ads like this one. Don't be duped, you'll pay the outrageous rent and get a Section 8 experience in return. In 10 months, my wife's car was hit twice in the parking lot, squatters broke in next door twice, there was constant noise, fights, kids screaming and breaking things, and trash everywhere. The front office is so broken that they had 5 different property managers in 10 months. There is broken glass everywhere, the interior of the units is mediocre at best, and the management company is horrifically bad at what they do. They credited one of our monthly payments to a wrong account, filed a lawsuit against us for non-payment, then refused to drop the case until the day of the hearing. I had to not only pay the outrageous rent, I had to take a day off work to make sure they didn't wrongly claim I hadn't paid it AFTER they sent me a letter stating (wrongly) that the case was already dismissed. This place is absolutely awful. Do not come here at the rates they're asking under any circumstances.
So i never really write reviews but i feel like i need to I love my home I have no complaints on the looks of the home the neighborhood itself is not bad other than the kids being outside all hours of the night. Often there is Trash here and there which is probably the cause of the insects and pest problems I've noticed. My issue however is with The Management team itself. I think they are really nasty and rude. I've called in maintenance a couple times when i first moved in regarding water leaking through the windows every time it rained (And I mean IT POURED) ruining the paint which they never fixed I had to call this in several times before they took me seriously and actually fixed the problem. I have called numerous times about the pest problems and the way that they speak to you is just absolutely ridiculous. As if its normal to see crawling creatures in your home. This neighborhood has the potential to be really great but if they don't get their management team together they are going to ruin it
I really wanted to like this community, but I'm disappointed. Like a former reviewer noted, we were told that the entire complex was being renovated, but it appears to me that it's mixed income community with some high rent apartments like ours. That wouldn't be a problem, but it's not managed well. There are some blemishes to the exterior of the apartment. We were told they would be fixed. They have not been. We were told there would be another bathroom added, there hasn't been. There hasn't even been mention of it. There is noise well into the late evening hours. Either children out late, often beyond 11:00 p.m or 12:00 a.m. playing an yelling or adults mingling outside the apartments making noise. I can understand this during the day and evening hours, but past 11 or so seems excessive. There is constantly trash everywhere, whether it's trash day or not. This has been communicated to the management company through e-mail with photos. They didn't respond. After I posted a comment on social media, the leasing manager did call, but said he wasn't aware of these problems and that they happen everywhere in Montgomery County. In my opinion, that's not a sufficient answer. I walked out this morning, found three bicycles lying on the sidewalk, one of which was missing a wheel, navigated my way around boxes and bubble wrap strewn about the sidewalk (neither in a recycle bin or a trashcan), and found used flatware next to my car. If you are looking to pay the $1800 monthly rent for these apartments, please do your research diligently.
I love all of the upgrades and it has a washer/dryer in the unit.
