If you’re seeking a quiet suburban-like neighborhood with urban amenities and scenic views, Bath Beach is ideal. Although it doesn’t have an actual beach as its name suggests, Bath Beach has plenty of options for residents to enjoy the outdoors and is located just three miles north of the iconic Coney Island. The neighborhood is adjacent to Dyker Beach Golf Course and has several parks like Bath Beach Park, which is known for its pedestrian path that boasts stellar views of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and the Gravesend Bay. Similar to many New York City neighborhoods, there is no shortage of restaurants and shops in Bath Beach. There are several subway stops along 86TH street so traveling across the Big Apple is made easy. Although the neighborhood is known for its Victorian houses and mid-20th century brick rowhouses, there are apartments and condos available for rent as well.

Property Ratings at Shore Haven Apartments
ive been a tenant here for along time within the last few years i seen major improvements the management and owners stepped up their game the maintenance workers are amazing and very helpful its really great to see these upgrades like new landscape trees new front entrances with lights on large addresses new elevators are being put in ,first class hotel style a great place to live i give more than a five stars excellent
For context, I work from home, so have spent a lot of time in my apartment over the last year and am intimately acquainted with its ups and downs. It is also not an insignificant commute to where I will be working when I return to in-person, so it means a lot that I still don’t want to leave. For starters, the area is wonderful — I love the ability to walk two blocks and be at 86th street, Target, or the parkway. If I need to be in the city or want to go to the beach, I can hop on the D train. The apartment itself is wonderful too — it is spacious, comfortable, and just the right size so as not to feel cramped but also not be too big. I love that laundry is in the building and getting packages is easy and secure. There are some less than perfect parts to the apartment, including caulking that occasionally chips in the shower and lack of insulation in the windows but for me those are on par with things that I’ve had to deal with in any apartment I’ve lived in. However, whenever I’ve had maintenance needs, each person who’s come to look at them has been kind, thorough, and on the lookout for other things that need updating (For example, someone came to check out the windows & noticed that there wasn’t caulking around the floorboards and told me how to request that be fixed.) When the super came around to check on the apartment, he was incredibly thorough in taking down what needed fixing, and it was all resolved within a couple of weeks. The largest issue I’ve had is with heating in the winter — it wasn’t consistent and it took multiple checks for the maintenance people to determine that nothing was wrong with the boiler, etc. They eventually installed a sensor in my apartment so that when the temp dropped, it would turn the heat on, which solved the issue. I think this is a great apartment for families and young people alike and hope to be able to live here for many years to come!!

I had such a wonderful experience with Shore Haven Apartments! My sister and I have been tenants since 2017. I moved from our apartment into my own one bedroom, which was beautiful, spacious and affordable. 7 months later, into March 2021- Emily, the property realtor showed me a beautiful two bedroom apartment in the same building! She took her time with me- explained the process of a transfer and assisted me to secure the apartment! I must have called her a million times, she alway answered the phone, responded to my inquiry and provided me with a tour after 5pm when I got off work!!! Shore Haven rocks! If anyone is looking for a great apartment, in a great neighborhood- Shore Haven is definitely the way to go, Thanks Emily!!!!!
If lived in shore for close to 8 years now and since the new management came in its really a new place. The grounds are spotless ,hallways are clean and smell nice, no more roaches, the only issue I've had was its a little old but for its age I must say its very well kept. Highly recommend!!
I’ve lived here for 5 years and the new property manager Dov has really turned things around.
Ive been living here at shore haven for the past 13 years, and since April I have been seeing great changes at the site. The maintenance staff really provides great service and the buildings are much cleaner.
you know, I'm afraid that the inspector will come to me. last year I called 311 because there was no heating. and how did it end? the company raised my rent to the maximum. you can't help me. the rich are always right here. and we live in these sheds and are afraid to complain about them. because I'll have to find another apartment. I'm 62 years old. My answer to goverment.
My rent is very high so it gets difficult for me to pay my rent, since I'm the only one that works in the family. I now have joint pain and my kids are to young to work. So I would be the luckiest person on the planet to get free rent for life. Also my kitchen is super small.
