I love living at Slate Ridge! They are the nicest apartments I have ever lived in. I moved here from out of state, had never seen these apartments in person, but as soon as I got here, I was really impressed. It’s a really quiet community, it’s very safe, and the apartments are really nice. I love my fireplace so much and the property is so gorgeous, so many trees and the neighborhood is nice to walk around. Another nice thing about Slate Ridge is that maintenance responds to issues very quickly. I have friends who live other places and have to wait WEEKS for maintenance orders to be completed. Like I said, love it here! Never wanna leave!

We have lived here now for 5 years and absolutely love it!! Great staff! Great maintenance!! Great neighbors! Convenient location to schools, grocery stores, gas stations, banks, and restaurants. Easy access to the freeway. We enjoy all the fabulous amenities, including the pool, jacuzzi, and private theater. They also have a dog park and common resident area with outdoor grills. So glad to be part of this community!

I’m a people person and the personnel are always so willing to listen and help with any problem I may have. Also, I’m always greeted with a smile and, if I have a problem, it gets corrected in a timely manner. Also, there are so many friendly people living here and easy access to businesses in the area as I don’t drive.

Maintenance are quick to respond, communication are prompt and effective in letting residents know of anything important and what to expect, and has some great amenities such as gym, pool, and clubhouse with pool table (to name a few). I can see myself living at Slate Ridge for a much longer period of time!

From the moment we applied to live here when moving from Alabama, the staff has found that wonderful mix of highly professional and warmly welcoming. They made sure we had a place to live ready and waiting and when a hiccup came up because of a grouchy neighbor they found us something even better and gave us a discount for our trouble. Cut to 3 months later and we have had continuously friendly, helpful, prompt, and professional experiences with every staff member we’ve met in the office, on site, and in our home when we’ve needed bulbs replaced or any little adjustment that come with raising toddlers. We have friendly, genuine, and reasonable neighbors and the beautifully landscaped complex feels like a community, not a heartless space for people who don’t know each other but live nearby (as compared to previous apartment experiences). This may be due to the fact that they’ve got running a complex figured out. Some examples: they encourage community involvement with a community bulletin board and well-organized events. They contact people appropriately and in a timely manner, and neither blow up someone’s inbox nor forget to give sufficient notice of on-site maintenance. They let you talk to them however is most convenient for you (by phone, email, or in person are equally effective) and they make sure to follow up as if you’re a real human working with another human. It’s just wonderful and much appreciated after learning how many other ways people can act to make your living space less pleasant. It’s also lovely to walk around here. It’s beautiful, a great neighborhood, and very conveniently located near grocery stores, shopping, and outdoor activities, which is what helped us find the complex when we started looking from across the country. We just didn’t realize how lucky we would be landing here. The staff helped us on that part. ;)

Beautiful, clean, and affordable property to rent in the Vancouver area. Office staff is professional and friendly. Pet friendly with well kept amenities. Some noise with connecting units is the only reoccurring concern. I lived here for 4.5 years and would recommend this housing to others.

The office staff is awful. They messed up the paperwork and made us fill it out several times. We make well over the minimum to live here but they harassed us over financial documentation. They find any excuse to invade your privacy and come into your apartment. It’s freezing in the winter. They won’t pay for trash cans to put dog poop in but forced “DNA” tests for all dogs. The mail system has been awful and inconsistent. This place is the worst apartment in three states worth of apartments including over priced LA apartments! The ladies in the office are lazy and unprofessional.
Living here was an absolute nightmare! Stay far far away! We lived here from April 2017- Dec 2017. From the first day moving in, we already had issues. We had the worst neighbors you could imagine living below us. Everyday we dealt with noise, music bumping, weed smoke, grill smoke, parties constantly, people running in and out and slamming doors all day and night long and multiple damage to our vehicle included damage to the tires and to the paint on the hood. On top of that we had multiple altercations with the neighbors that ended with us always having to call security who were useless and never did anything to help the situation. The final altercation in November ended with us having to take our neighbors to court to attempt to get a restraining order against them. The judge wouldn't give us a full years restraining order due to only 1 instance of a physical altercation and not more with them, so our options at that point were either move to another apartment there, which isn't an option since they knew the car we drove and had already vandalized it. So that left us only one other option and that was to pay the lease break fee of 2 months rent!! insane!! The management in the office was terrible, they never got anything done and never had any empathy for us, they just wanted to take our money, and didn't care about the stress we were living through. On top of the neighbor issues the apartments had many other problems. Included were no mail boxes for almost the entire time we were there, they had people breaking in to all the mailboxes and ended up having to remove all mailbox locations in the facility and we had to go everyday to the office to collect our mail. Yet they will tell you it's a "Safe area" , other neighbors had their vehicles broken into, complaints of Lights out in walkways and lights out at the parking structures, so please don't let the outside exterior fool you this place is full of safety issues and maintenance concerns. They charged us $185 just because I gave them over my keys 5 days early, seriously!! They also charged $415 to carpet cleaning so I'm assuming the $300 pet fee isn't used towards that, why not! What's the point of that non refundable pet fee then! Just take my advice and don't rent here unless you want to get taken for every penny you have. There are much better choices than Slate Ridge.
Moved in 7/30. I walked into a townhouse with broken glass and nails in the carpet. The entire place smelled like dog but the office insisted it's been cleaned. I own a carpet shampooer so I spent 7 hours shampooing the supposedly clean carpets and I've seen used toilet water cleaner than the water the came out of my shampooer. The unit had no washer. They installed one after I had taken possession and the first time it flooded the upstairs. The refrigerator won't close because of damaged drawers and there's a massive bleach stain on the countertops. But the crowning " achievement " the that the place is infested with Fleas and I have pets. I've had to spend $150 out of my own pocket on carpet treatment, flea traps, medicine for the cats just to get the place livable. Plus, my wife spent 15 straight hours cleaning every square inch. I went to the rental office to complain and they pretty much accused me of bringing in the fleas and were completely unhelpful. At this point, I'm dealing with the corporate office in California and if that gets nowhere then it's time for legal channels. I'm a retail manager down the street and I've I treated my customers this way, I'd have none. What a incompetent mess.

Have been living here almost six months and love it. I'm from New York and have never seen a complex as well put together. The town homes are gorgeous and clean! Very animal friendly. Staff can't do enough for you. If you need maintenance they are there immediately.

The rent for the units were appropriate at first. However, after they refurbished the units the price skyrocketed. It just doesn't make sense to rent here for the same price that you could rent a house. They do have a weight room, barbecue area, pool table, movie theater, upright tanning, and a pool with hot tub. However, the pools are an eyesore most of the time. The water is yellowish/green and they have it shutdown a lot. Communication in regards to repairs could be better. Often the communication from the office personnel do not get to the maintenance people. Therefore, they show up when you've already rescheduled or don't show up at all. They're near restaurants, shopping, and parks. They're also located in a great school district which is why we moved there to begin with. Good Luck with your search.
