October 29, 2024 I've moved to Canterbury Apts coming from Florida in April of 2023. The staff members have been awesome when it comes to handling concerns regarding maintenance etc. I enjoy living in this beautiful blessed community, because it's only 15 minutes away from where I work. I can do my shopping and go to the library which is around the corner. I love living at the Canterbury Apts and that's why I've made this community my home. Madeline

My interaction started off a bit rocky but after getting moved in and giving the office staff a chance to get things taken care of I'm very satisfied. My studio is perfect for me very conveniently located and very clean and upkept grounds. Susan was great to deal with and so is the leasing manager and property manager. Only complaint is crazy high pet fee because of this it's just unaffordable for me to adopt another pet after my two recently passed.

Wish I could give this place zero stars! What a disaster it has been living here and my year lease isn’t even up yet! Roaches, maintenance comes without giving you a 24-48hr notice, nothing ever gets fixed, mold in the apartment, trash everywhere and crime. Stay far away!
I am so impressed with the undivided attention I received while speaking to Kiersten at the Canterbury apartments to schedule a tour. I had many questions to ask and needed to know the options they offer so i can choose what best fits my needs. Kiersten helped above and beyond with all of that and more. She answered all of my questions with kindness, great knowledge, respect, and was all around a wonderful help. I am so excited that i scheduled this tour and i can't wait to tour it with Kiersten. While I was out walking my dog today I noticed a woman from the office riding around in her cart without a mask!! To add injury to that, she was knocking on residents doors with NO MASK on!!!! Riding up to reaidents....with no mask!! As a matter of fact, she never wears a mask when I see her. Does she not realize we are in the middle of pandemic & businesses & their employees must wear masks to stop the spread!?!?! You are putting peoples health at risk. If I see this again I will report the office and staff to DHEC. WEAR A MASK!!!!!!!! If residents have to wear a mask in the office then you MUST wear a mask when you go to peoples homes!!!!!

2 years here, Car was broken into 2x, Items stolen from outside my door 4x Maintenance says to tell the office, office says call the Police, Police says it's private property complain to the management to get Security. GOOD LUCK, I'm out.
I’ve lived here for a few months and I really don’t like how they do business, oven never had my maintenance requests answered, some people are loud and we have quiet hours, there’s no drop box to drop anything off when the office is close. Some of the agents don’t like to work with you, which is not good business overall. I’m discussed at this property and I can’t wait to move out
I've been a almost 3 years now. I have no issues at. Whenever I've turned in maintenance request they have come right out to fix the problem. Everyone is always very friendly. The only wish I have is that a light be put at the second entrance. Sometimes late at night it is very hard to see where the entrance actually is. I live at that and so I not use the main entrance. That would be my only request.
I have been here almost 10 years and have not had any problems that the staff did not fix immediately. I love being so close to stores and restaurants. The grounds are keep clean. I would recommend Canterbury to anyone.
My daughter and I have lived here now for 3 years. Have never had any problems. The office and maintenance personnel have been great. Problems get fired asap. Haven't thought about moving. The property is very convenient to everything.

It’s a great place. I’m living in the new renovated unit and it is beautiful!!! Super modern look very stylish for the upcoming market. Not sure why there are so many reviews about maintence. They’ve always responded to any issue i’ve had in the same day weekend or weekday. The staff in the office is incredibly friendly. The pools are always so clean and full of nice people to talk to. The neighborhood Dog park is bigger than any i’ve seen in a neighborhood. I don’t have any kids but the park looks awesome! I love it here!

I really like being here. Great space. But having to rent or get your own washer and dryer is a hastle. But they do offer on sigh facilities.

You are first taken to a model apartment by golf cart for a reason. The grounds here are covered in dog poop! Even going to the pool! The model is just that a fancy made up mirage. The apartment you get is about as good as a yearly rental motel down at the beach. The crime is unreal, drugs are outta control. Your car is not safe outside. And as for parking it is first come first serve. So if you have groceries and there is no parking spot open you have to park at a different building and walk to your apartment. If the health department seen the grounds and some of these apartments they would shut them down. The office will tell you not to pay attention to the reviews, that it is just disgrental tenants. So not true!!!! We are trying to move out of here and the price to break the lease plus moving expenses are just not possible. When your lease is up and you renew your rent goes up. They go by market rent rates. There is nothing good about this place! I moved here because I had to move fast and now I regret every bit of it!
Kiersten in the leasing office is RUDE!! She is not interested in helping people at Canterbury Apatrments at all!!! If you have to go in the office please go when she is not there. Otherwise you will not get any help. I have dealt with various other leasing offices at other complexes and they are friendly and willing to help. At Canterbury you can forget it! Would not recommend.
Moved in thinking we would be here a short time. Having school age children with the schools so close was so convenient. Grocery stores, drug stores, outlet stores are extremely convenient. Found a great church with focus on families, just down the road. Apartments are pet friendly as well. It's a little over 12 years now, LOL!! Who would haved guessed. Maintenance is very good and they respond quickly. Thanks guys. And thanks to our office staff as well. DMP
Have lived here for almost 2 years, quite area even though Blvd is very busy. Not to quick on addressing issues maintenance or complaints but they eventually get to them. They just spent a lot of money updating the pools but wish they would have invested in the fitness room. Short term living it is great, long term wouldn't stay past 2 years, rent increases after first year.
When my wife and I moved to myrtle beach we were looking for an apartment that was reasonably priced and a decent size for our 1 year old daughter to grow up in this is it. Good size kitchen great sized rooms we have a king size bed with plenty of room to walk around the only down fall is that u have to walk through the mast to get to the back deck but that's ok.
Before i moved here, I was a little shy. I wasn't sure whether or not it would be the right place to move considering the reviews. But ever since I moved here, I love it! It's so quite. I never hear the neighbors next to me or above me. My apartment is beautiful and I honestly love it. the location is walking distance to the outlets, grocery store, gas station, drug store and more! It's a reasonable price and I see myself living here for a while. I am shocked about the reviews because I have yet to experience a problem being here for almost 3 months now and I am the type to always find a problem. Take my word for it, you won't regret it!
Low response to maintenance issues. College students Not recommended for retirees.
Moved here with my college age son who needed to be close the university. The complex has a questionable reputation due to some crime that has happened here. So far everything is okay. I like the proximity to everything. The apartment itself needs an update to the kitchen and baths, but for a two bedroom two bath the price is right, and there is a good amount of living area and closet space. This apartment is a third floor unit with vaulted ceilings and the french doors add to the charm. Been here a year and it has been an unexpected delight.
We live in a nice 2 bed apartment here in Myrtle Beach, SC. Rents are very reasonable we pay only $700 then we pay a bit for our 2 doggies, yes pets are very welcome here.and the AUM (water, trash, sewer) are also included, but listed separately so you can keep track. We have not one, but 2 swimming pools. 2 entrances, and compactors fro trash at one and dumpster for bulk trash at other. Mail boxes are at front entrance and they have big boxes where they can leave you packages, then put the key to that box in your regular mail box. We have a landscaper that comes by all the time to mow, trim, cut bushes, mulch and so on. Then there is maintenance, they are top notch and on the ball. You can call or leave on computer to schedule to get anything fixed. If an emergency, they are there 24/7 They come around and change heat/air filters every month for you. We also have a nice health club/ weight room and a laundry but you have hookups in apt. if you own your own machines. Plenty of wood here to take doggies for long walks in the jungle. Parking is more than plenty and they do have handicapped parking for people like me. 2nd floor apts.. have balcony's to sit out on and ground floor have back door patios to sit out on. There is spot for Barbecuing. and a nice volley ball court. Neighbors are great, office personal are great, maintenance guys are great, you will love it here. Close to everything, plenty of fast food, Wal-Mart, Tanger Outlets, other supermarkets, major Hospital and a great college.So stop by and give us a look., Tell them Bob sent you.
Coming in, I herd so-so reviews. Good and bad, but so far I love it!!! I am so happy with my decision to stay here. It's beautiful and me and my boyfriend love our one bedroom apartment. (mind you we are VERY picky people) its location is very convinent and close by to everything here. Literally I could walk to the grocery store, tanger and reasturaunts if I really wanted too. Also, it's so quite! I always think "hey does anyone even live next door to us?" And they do, but I never hear anything. Awesome move, and I love this place. So happy with my choice!
Canterbury is a large apartment community with over 600 units, which means there's a lot of people here. The management staff in the little that I've dealt with them has been really nice, and have taken care of issues quickly. Maintenance is awesome too. You can submit maintenance requests on line and they will usually be there the same day, or the next day to take care of the issue. The apartment it self is ok. It's two bedroom, a little over 1100 sq ft, and all electric. Our monthly electric bill is usually around $100 with the AC/Heat running which is not to bad. Our monthly rent also adds in pest control and water so the rent isn't the same every month. If I had any thing bad to say it's, there are so many people living here, there aren't enough parking spots. In our building, no one talks to each other, and it's seems to be a fight on who get's to park where. For being two bedroom we feel a little cramped with the three of us, and I don't know how some of these people are living in them with 5 or more people, all of which are adults and have a car, or they will have guests stay with them and they take the parking near the building. The management has sent letters out about the parking situation, but I think they need to take more steps to help with certain buildings like ours. In general, I think it's a nice place to live if you just moved to the area like we did and can be a place to get settled until you find something better. It's close to lots of shopping and resturants, and only about 7 miles from the beach.
