As the largest city in Solano County and the 10th-largest city in the San Francisco Bay Area, West Vallejo has become a hot destination for families, singles, and artistic individuals looking for beautiful historic Victorian homes and a growing community that is much more affordable compared to others in the Bay Area.
There’s plenty to do in West Vallejo, from outdoor activities to nightlife, restaurants, and coffee shops. With easy access to San Francisco by ferry or an hour drive by car away, this mostly suburban community rests far enough from the urban environment to be a mellow break from the hustle and bustle, but close enough that indulging in all of San Francisco’s sights — from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Coit Tower — are never too far away to enjoy.

Property Ratings at Sterling Village Apartment Homes
I had to find a place fast since I was moving from So Cal. I needed a place close to my dad and sister but not far away from work. Outside of the complex looks horrible and is as bad as it looks. Inside is different, it looks nice and residents are great. Yes some dog owners suck and don't pick up their dogs poop but that happens everywhere. Their head maintenance man Abe is great. He knows my dog who normally will say hi to him if he comes in with my approval when I am not home. Well, she didn't last time and he called me concerned because he didn't see her. I have cameras so I know she was lazy and laying on my bed because she knows him now. Ashlee the losing agent is so friendly and any concern I have had has been addressed. If my commute wasn't so bad, I wouldn't consider moving from here. All the kids have adopted my baby and I have a ton of kids coming over asking to play with him . My neighbors have also been very welcoming and made my hard move from my friends easier.
My family and I have been long-time residents of the Sterling Village complex for the last few years. During our stay here, management has changed hands a couple times, maintenance people have come and gone but the overall upkeep and quality has stayed pretty much the same. Whenever we have/had a maintenance issue, it gets resolved in a timely manner- usually the same day of its a minor issue, a day or two if we have to wait for a part. The grounds are well kept. The gym could use some new or more equipment but they're sufficient enough to get a decent workout in if you don't want to spend the money on a gym membership. The pool and bbq area can get a bit busy and noisy during the warm months, which is expected. If there is any litter or pet messes around I wouldn't really fault the management for it occurring, that's mostly a resident responsibility issue but the grounds keepers/maintenance handles it anyway when reported. You have your average run-of-the-mill ambient apartment noise. Sometimes you get a neighbor thats quiet, sometimes a neighbor who may annoyingly blast there music from their cars or unit, there's the occasional stompers, and sometimes there's some really loud conversations at not so great hours of the night. But that comes with the apartment life. All the neighbors we have encountered so far have all been pretty pleasant. Parking can get difficult after 5pm if you don't want to invest in a carport/garage. Our overall experience living at Sterling Village, so far, has been satisfactory.
I am excited about my God Daughters excitement regarding these Apartment Homes. She had been searching several properties for the right accommodations for her Mother whom needed a downstairs unit, close access to mailbox, parking, office, gym, pool and it was readily available. I will be viewing the properties to see why she's so ecstatic and also for My Daughter and I possibly if I sell my home.
I felt compelled to write a review. I have lived here for a while now and the parking in the past has been a joke. The new manager Jason and the girl in the office (Lucy?) are great! Lucy is always so bubbly, she makes going into the office to pay rent pleasant. They really seem to be getting the parking issues under control. I also saw them outside picking up trash today. The dedication they show to the property now is a breath of fresh air. I cant wait to see what they accomplish in the future.
This place is definitely not a luxury complex! This is a dog friendly environment and I have dogs --so all for that. But....MOST residents don't pick up their dogs' poop. There's dog poop on walkways, near the pool, near the mailboxes, EVERYWHERE!! It's a health risk. Management has been told and told! They ignore. They contribute by not putting out the pet bags for weeks. Going on 2 weeks with no bags now. Beyond this, there is trash on the grounds EVERYWHERE. Wish I could post pics. Luxury? Homeless people dumpster dive every night. NEVER see any security of the premises. I'm here in corporate housing ---another joke. Thank God not paying for this !
this is beautiful place to leave. They have a lot of amazing amenities for me and my husband and our beautiful two dogs. I love the fact that i have laundry in unit and so easy access to the freeway
I love living here at this complex in the Bay Area, This place has all the amenities; first it's gated, full washer/ dryer, pool, and gym. I love it because it's convenient for my commute. I never want to leave here, I'm are surrounded by a lot of activities, going to the sporting events, great festivals/concerts and the wine country. I can't ask for a better area to live than Sterling Village Apt. Homes!
