This place is a mess, management does not communicate with you if you have an issue and maintenance takes WEEKS to respond to simple work orders. They allow people to enter your apartment without notice or permission, I would stay as far away as I could!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE they do not care about residents or the property, trust me you will regret moving here if you do!

I moved from Pennsylvania 6 months ago, so far my experience at Sterling Westchester apartments has been great. The office staff is pleasant and helpful. It’s a very quiet place, and everything is within minutes from here. I had several issues such as: spoon caught on the garbage disposal, and some roaches coming out during the night; there were promptly solved by maintenance. So far I’m very happy with this complex, and I strongly recommended it to other. Remember everyone’s experience is different. ????

THIS IS THE WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX THAT I HAVE EVER STAYED. THEY CHARGE YOU TWO MONTHS OF RENT FEE IF YOU DO MOVE OUT FOR SOME REASON. THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT IF TERMINATE YOU WILL GET CHARGED ONE MONTH BUT ACTUALLY YOU END UP PAYING TWO MONTHS OF EARLY TERMINATION FEE. NOT FAIR!!! APARTMENTS ARE IN A VERY BAD CONDITIONS..VERY OLD..I'D SAY STAY AWAY FROM GRUB PROPERTIES ONCE AND FOR ALL!! RIPOFF!!!

Sterling Westchester is a very quiet town home community, the residents in majority are friendly and don't cause a ruckus. The area has a dog park, small but convenient, and also a playground for families with little children. The homes are older town homes but they have been upgrading and renovating a few at a time so many homes here are fully upgraded with new appliances. Due to the age of the complex there are work orders every now and then but the friendly and happy maintenance staff stays on top of them and 99% of the time responds within 24hrs. Even the emergency weekend requests like AC or leaks get taken care of within an hour or two. I have never had a complaint on maintenance and even if out of stock on a part they will do all they can to keep us posted and able to get by till the issue is fixed. Every now and then you have pest issues like ants or bugs but they have weekly pest control available and the issue always get resolved as long as you keep the office informed of the problem. They try hard to keep the place clean and running smooth and it really shows! Even when I have had heavy packages come in, one of them is always willing to carry them for me to my home! They go above and beyond and I think this is a great place for anyone who wants a quiet home or a family friendly place. It's also nearby to all stores and restaurants and walking distance to publix and Adams Bistro. I plan on staying here much longer and love this place!

I love my townhouse! It's in the center of greenville with mall, 2 grocery stores, plenty of restaurants, and a park all within five minutes. You can be downtown or shopping on woodruff rd within 10! The separate kitchen makes you feel like you are in a home, not an apartment, and the patio with privacy fence is amazing for bbq or friends stopping by. The staff is always friendly and has fixed all major issues I have had immediately. The community is quiet and grounds are very well maintained. Pool is open during summer months and is never crowded. Overall seeing other properties in the area i feel this is the best value for what you get!

When my husband & I moved in July 2012. The apartments we saw were great. The home I got was gross to say the least. The carpet was steam cleaned at some point but a sandwich baggy worth of bugs from roaches, palmetto bugs, and rollie pollie lined the walls. The kitchen still had roaches from the last occupant. Did I mention all the faucets were on backwards. How about the counter tops rotting out from the improperly installed sink that has a tear in the metal and no seal around it. How about not having sealer around the tub or the grout that can't be cleaned properly because its like frosting that a child helped with; pockets, bubbles, sharp chunky bits ect... I can see the outside all the way around the front and back door because that seal is gone too. The best part is no central air or heat up stairs, the vents are there but not hooked up. : D It's not just my unit with that problem, most of my neighbors put in window air units until the land lords point out that the contract you sign says you can't do that. Oh and I can't forget the upstairs window that broke during a storm. I was told just not to open it any more. Then I was being blamed that it was my fault it broke because I opened it in the first place. The plus points are the area is quiet when it should be other that the 100's of planes that go over all the time. The appliances that we have are new and Publix, restaurants, and a bar are across the street. Most renters are small families or single so not many wild parties however on holidays parking is a joke. The rooms are a nice size other than the .5 bathroom. The outside patio is nice and there is lots of chipmunks and birds to feed.
This apartment complex may have a new staff and a new process but it is still not doing it's job. My daughter has just renewed her lease and her rent has increased and she still has problems. When I went into the apartment to drop off my grandchildren last night the apartment was extremely warm. It turns out that their cooling system is duct taped and the thermostat doesn't show the correct temperature. The apartment need a whole new system installed. These people need to take care of the tenants who actually live in this place instead of trying to bring in more.
We chose to live here after looking at apartment after apartment. This was by far the best deal for the space and we were very excited about the location as it is close to almost everywhere. When we moved, in the apartment was dirty and needed to be cleaned before we could even begin to move our stuff in. The caulk and touch up jobs looked like it was literally flung on to the walls and tile. If you have an issue where maintenance is involved, you better not be in a hurry. We have items that we have requested to be fixed since we moved in well over a year ago. Maintenance will come out and look at it after you huff and puff for months and then they don't even properly fix it or you just don't get a response at all. It's very frustrating and has come to the point that we have had to personally fix things just to get it fixed. As said by another tenant they offered bribes for good reviews but in good conscience I cannot do that. If office staff and maintenance would get on the ball and start helping and taking care of their tenants issues, instead of just worrying about filling apartments, it would be a wonderful place to live.

We understand that our maintenance process was not the best for our community and have taken steps to rectify this problem with a new team and a new process. Our maintenance team has added to its workforce in an effort to handle claims more efficiently. We apologize if you feel like we are bribing our residents. We continually strive to make our residents feel like they are rewarded and special. ?To encourage engagement in the community, we have offered various incentives, parties and contests. Some recent examples include Starbucks Gift Cards or random drawings for Target gift cards for Facebook members. Our aim was to reward residents for their loyalty to Sterling Westchester and to show our appreciation. Please feel free to stop by the leasing office or contact us to discuss your comment. They have a great Staff. Everybody is friendly. The apartment is a short drive to many of the great things Greenville has to Offer. Pool, Dog park and other great amenities.
The office staff is friendly and responsive to any issues that arise with our apartment. Also, the maintenance staff is quick and thorough with any problems we've had.
I have decided to write this review after exploring my options to move at the end of my current lease with Sterling Westchester. My desire to move was for nothing more than to see if I can save money. Honestly, I can move somewhere else and save but the savings will not be worth the value I have right where I am. I have tons of space for myself and three growing boys, courteous and professional staff, nice neighbors, and a clean and safe neighborhood. I have no doubt that I will stay at Sterling Westchester until I am able to purchase my own home.
