Home to Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, the local student population outnumbers the permanent residents by a significant margin, lending a distinctive culture to the community.
The small Downtown district along Main Street offers everything from nightlife favorites like North Country Brewing and Ginger Hill Tavern to the classic diner fare of Camelot Restaurants and the unpretentious staple Bob’s Sub and Sandwich Shop. The rental market includes numerous options aimed at students, with apartments, condos, and houses available to suit any budget.

Property Ratings at Stone Crest Apartments
South Rock and Stone Crest are run through the same company! The living space is nice but it’s very pricy. There were a lot of issues for my roommates and myself as soon as we moved in. They have been working on fixing them. Overall, nice place to live, very close to campus, convenient, and well kept
I really like living here. We have so much space and they were really accommodating about making sure I could bring all my animals with me. Chelsea is really great and so is Terrilynn. Theyre both really understanding and helpful!
They extort money from you! Once you move out, they come in (and you are not invited) and make up damages that were not in your apartment. Doesn't matter if you have move-in and move-out pictures. According to them, in the lease it states that they can charge whatever they want after move out. They do not have to prove anything with pictures and you are not notified of the walk through. It is ridiculous what they charged. $5 to take toilet paper off the holder (which we left as a courtesy to the next tenant -- had we known it was going to cost $5 I would have removed it). They claim there were clothes on the floor and they charged $5 to pick up each piece of clothes (which were not in the apartment). They charged us for a stained mattress which was not ours. They charged us to fix cable boxes which were fully functional when we left (don't you think we need our tv???), which by the way the cable company would fix for free. They already got extra money for the 2 months that we did not live there. This company sucks you dry. I would rather have lived on campus then in this place... would have been a lot cheaper and would not have feel violated at the end.
