Property Ratings at Sycamore Square
Nothing gets fixed since new management. Waste of money. Pool was down almost all summer. Doors fall off the track, water pressure is awful, toilets make a loud noice, washer has no hot water, drains constantly clogged.
Just moved in. The ladies in the office are rude when you go up there to request for maintenance or complain about something. They don't know anything about running the apartments or know anything when you ask for a update about your issue. The whole APARTMENT complex have ROACHES!! Neighbors gave me the whole run down on these apartments. People here are nice especially at the dog park, but the Management.. NOO. Already having issues with my apartment.
The property is maintained well and I like the location. But management is a huge issue. They are extremely poor at communication - like other reviews here, they only seem to care about money. Maintenance takes forever, and the re-leasing is a joke. They tried to charge us for several things they shouldn't have. The new 12 month lease price is $110 more than what we're paying now, but if we didn't sign a new lease and continued to pay month to month it would only be $100 more. $10 doesn't make much if a difference, but it shows what really matters to them. Other complexes aren't as expensive, and this used to be one of the more affordable ones. They just want to gouge us now. They rarely respond to emails on time. This was a huge issue when trying to sign my initial lease and when re-leasing. It is very frustrating when you are just trying to get information or paperwork finished. Oh and the roaches are awful, but I'm sure if that was brought up they would charge us to have the place sprayed for them. I would not recommend moving here due to the management being so poor. It really is a lovely place and property, but it is very disappointing due to management.
This is a horrible places to live. It is very obvious that they do not care for the people that live here. And they have a around 5-6 stray cats that live on the property and may damage your vehicle. They refuse to really fix most things you come to them about! Don’t waste your money, there are so many better and cheaper places.
I had done a lease takeover at these apartments with a lady who was moving out of state. At first everything was nice. But boy did that change QUICK. THERE ARE ROACHES!!! Maintenance takes DAYS to do ANYTHING. My washer broke. My dishwasher broke, even the frame on top of the laundry area fell on me while doing laundry one day. My ac had also gone out when it was 100 degrees outside!! Called multiple times to the office and she told us to wait it out until Monday, it was Saturday. I had a 2 year old with me as well. I went out and had to purchase 4 fans just to stay someone cool. They only care about money. They even tried to charge me for a cat I never owned because they “thought” I had one. Don’t move in here!! I’m so glad I was only there for 5 months. The apartment was falling apart everyday. Save your money and go with ANYTHING ELSE
My roommate and I are current residents. We’ve had issues since we’ve moved in. First, when we were signing papers to move in, they gave us 2 different papers to sign with 2 different prices on them. Just days after we moved in, my car was Peking right in front of my building and got shot up and had $4,000 worth of damages, the office basically told us “oh well.” Just recently, there was another shooting in the same area, right out front of our building again. Cops responded to both shootings. Also, our refrigerator has broke three times since we’ve moved in. Twice we’ve had to replace our whole entire stock of food. We made our original report on September 15th, it took them until September 26th to replace our refrigerator. On top of that, and with us providing receipts and picture proof of everything, we were only offered $45 to cover our costs. Brittney, I’m the office, is always extremely rude, dismissive, and never helpful whenever we’ve had an issue. Do not move in here.
My apartment complex recently hired a new tow company. The manager of the property sent a letter out letting everyone know the new rules and tapped it on everyone's door. I failed to read completely through the letter. And therefore my car was towed! I was furious I thought someone had stole my car I was freaking out maintenance were helping me look. Till I finally found out it was towed because the new rule was "Any car parked in future resident after hours will be towed immediately". I went to my manager and told her my situation she first said there was nothing she could do. So I was out of 200 dollars just like that. Couple days went by and my manager decided to give me at 100 credit on my rent. It was an amazing thing and I thank her for that everyday!
Sycamore square is the best place ever. I am a first time renter and I have nothing but a good living here. The manager is really awesome. She works around my schedule to pay rent. The people in this community are very friendly. There's no crime or anything bad happening in this neighborhood. Very convenient place to rent. I love sycamore square.
