Downtown Seattle is less than fifteen miles north and Sea-Tac Airport lies just outside the city’s southeast corner, making it an excellent rental location for commuters and jet-setters.
The community enjoys a large waterfront area, with Seahurst Park providing an unspoiled natural playground with stunning views of Puget Sound and the evergreen forests of the Pacific Northwest. The area known as “Olde Burien” serves as the city’s highly-walkable downtown business district, with an abundance of locally-owned shops, restaurants, and watering holes clustered together along 152nd Street.

Property Ratings at Avon Park
The bad reviews here are 100% true the worst ever!! There are rats, old outdated and it looks like from the 80s. The apts are cheap but not worth how horrible it is here. There are scary residents here that are all mostly older and are not friendly and seem to be mentally ill. The pool was never working the whole time, mail boxes broken into never fixed and they do not care to make any efforts to fix this!!. The apartments next to Terrace are worse. Save your money and the stress!!!
Here I thought my washer was "dead" when it only took the easy magic touch of James to bring it back to life even after I tried the minimum of unplugging and re-plugging it back in. I must have forgot to place it on a setting yet at least I didn't waste any time or money on other maintenance when it was not necessary. I was very appreciate of James stopping in to check and re-affirm that it worked!.. "Prompt and efficient. Very nice and helpful. " "I love this place! It feels like home. I have been here for four years and do not plan on going anywhere. Terrace View Apartment is great!"
We enjoy the quiet atmosphere and all of our neighbors are great. The grounds of the complex are kept neat and clean, it looks good all year round. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this complex to friends or family. The office and maintenance staffs are always available for any problem, small or large. I don't have anything negative to say about living here. " "Everyone is very friendly and helpful" In addition , "The repair to our shower that restores hot water pressure was completed right away and with no headache. After living here for over five years, this is the best the shower has worked. When something unfortunately goes wrong, the service team at Terrace View Apartment does an excellent job at making the necessary repairs in a quick and efficient manner at all times. Keep up the great work!"
I hate to give a place one star, but I have to with this one. I lived here with my husband for two years. First, the positives; 1. The manager, James, is very nice. 2. There is a 24 hour grocery down the street, as well as several small places to get a bite to eat, dry cleaners, Starbucks, a drug store, etc. There is also a daycare within a 5 minute walk, so if you have children in daycare; this is super convenient. 3. You are only about a 10 minute drive to the airport. Nice if you work at the airport. Now, the negatives; 1. The advertisements are false. You DO NOT get what is advertised. 2. The appliances are at least 20 years old. I am not kidding. 3. The grounds look terrible. 4. The pool is never filled--NEVER. I was told it has been more than five years since it was filled. The pictures in the advertisements are from several years ago. 5. There is a racquetball court, but it is always locked up, so no one can use it. It was never unlocked, in the two years that I lived there. 6. The cabana/hot tub has been not operational for as long as the pool has been empty. 7. There is no security patrol, as advertised. 8. Maintenance jobs are shoddy and not safe. 9. The dumpsters are allowed to overfill. Twice I saw a rat. 10. The mailboxes were constantly broken into and were not professionally fixed, so they were simply broken into again. 11. The neighborhood has many convenient places, but it quickly going downhill. 12. There is absolutely no play area for children, so they run around screaming and making the grounds look even worst. 13. The place is noisy, even late at night. Don't move here unless you are a sound sleeper. 14. Plumbing and electrical wiring are ANCIENT. You can't plug too many things in at the same time. 15. Some of the tenants are a bit scary. When I lived there, one tenant was regularly visited by his crack dealer. Another was arrested outside of my unit. 16.. The tenants in the neighboring apartment complex are worst. 17. Cars are broken into on a regular basis. The parking lot has very little lighting, at night and no security is offered in the apartment complex. 18. As soon as your lease is up, your rent will get a serous hike.
This place is horrible! Do not move here!!! Nothing like the description offers!
A few years prior my x husband and I had looked at these apartments and they were kept very nice. at that point we had found something else that fit us better. So when I went through a divorce and became a single mother I wanted to find something nice, yet affordable, and in an area for my daughter to attend a good school. This place was listed. They advertised a nice clean building with no smoking, Sparkling pool, Racquetball court, washer and dryer in the unit, parking. It was February when I was looking. The grounds looked nice, the flowers were starting to bloom.I hadn't thoroughly checked the amenities due to the fact that I had seen then just a few years prior and the published add had shown them as the same. I was battling a divorce and filled with immense anxiety about my new journey as a single parent and trusted that the building would still be the same. Oh what a mistake! The apartment was supposed to be ready by the 15th of March. It was not ready until the 20th of March. When I moved in the apartment was freshly painted new carpet and tile, so the initial look was decent. but as I settled in the apartment showed its true colors. The appliances are old and worn, the cabinets in the kitchen very worn and damaged. The paint on the balcony was never finished and the looks awful, the closet doors have a huge hole on the back side, where you wouldn't see them. The drains running slow, and missing a screen on one of the kitchen windows. The trees behind my balcony overgrown. I have asked the landlord for the trees to be trimmed and for a screen, I was told it would be done 3 months ago and still nothing done. Then.... when June came, the pool or racquetball court had not opened yet. So I asked the landlords wife when they planned on opening it and I was informed that oh" They are not going to open it. It has not been opened in 3 years now. They owners don't want to pay to fix it or the insurance on it. What about the racquetball court. We use it for storage... I was beyond disappointed. This news had ruined my entire plans for the summer. My four year old daughter was heartbroken. I had made a promise to her that we would move into a place that still would have a pool for her to swim in, which her favorite activity. They charge market rent for a run down building, with minimal upkeep. The grounds are always dirty with trash. The walkways to each building a filthy. I am just disgusted and can't afford to move to a new building at this time.
Ok response time from managers if you need anything. Swimming pool is never filled so don't count on that or using cabana. Everything works for the most part, but all appliances are from the 80's and have some kind of issue. Full size washer and dryer are awesome no problems there. Have had plumbing issues since moving in a year ago. Think all the pipes are from the 80's too. Lots of kids running around the grounds so if your not into that maybe not for you. Not a bad place but also not amazing.
