Property Ratings at The 104
During my 13 months at the 104 apartments, my experience included the following: ~ Elevator inoperable for 10 months with virtually no communication from the management with the exception of an occasional piece of paper on the elevator door saying 'sorry'. Carrying groceries and other items up the stairs was a challenge for a lot of us. ~ Over a dozen times coming home to my reserved parking spot ($150/month!) only to find someone parked in it. Management basic throws their hands up in the air saying we'll see what we can do. Nothing happens. ~ The Valet Service (trash pick up) was used by very few residents though they charge $25/month. It's not a perk, it's more of a hindrance as the garbage sits in the hallways and stinks up the area. ~ Noted repairs at the initial walk through were never completed before moving in to the apartment. Of note, the handle and swinging arm to the window was never fixed meaning that the window could open wide enough for a person to fall out. ~ At lease end, don't bother cleaning the carpet, they will charge you for cleaning it regardless of proof of it being done by a professional cleaning firm - 'it's just what we do' they'll say. Additionally, they always charge for cleaning an apartment at move-out regardless of how clean it is left. ~ The enforcement of smoking on the premises is non-existent. Cigarette and weed permeates the facility. ~ Management will say the right thing, but won't follow through.
The apartment itself is nice, and the location couldn't be better. Had good experience with maintenance. It is quiet. The price is high, and the parking price is very high. Rent has very steeply increased every year. Problems are that: a lot of amenities (like the garage door, elevator) are constantly broken; management has changed over 6 times in under 3 years; it is very difficult to get a response from management; they have no designated move in/out space so wherever you are, you're in the way and getting yelled at by someone. It's weirdly badly managed, it kind of feels like living in a building without any one in charge at all. And the whole fact they have no where to move in/out is odd; you'd think that'd be a known issue.
This building used to be beautiful and perfectly maintained with a professional and happy staff. They are now filthy, everything is broken including the elevator for months now. Many other things. Horrible environment for anyone.
Why live at the 104? Well after just a few months of living here I have met the most friendly neighbors who helped me during my move to a new state. The leasing office has also been very understanding about the puppies getting used to their new home. I highly recommend the 104 if you want a quiet and beautiful place to live.

Thank you for sharing your experience with The (104)! Welcome to the community!
This is by far the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. It is in a fantastic locations - within walking distance to downtown Bothell (which is going through a commercial growth spurt), walking distance to the Samammish trail, SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF, amenities are amazing, and very friendly neighbors. The staff here is really quite amazing. They are responsive, attentive and caring. They are constantly throwing together and hosting community events (chili cook-offs, Top Pot donut mornings, BBQ's for the building, Seahawk Sunday parties, Ice cream socials, dog parties, etc). There was always something going on - which I've never seen before. Kristin and Ylanda (I am totally butchering your name - my apologies!) were always there to answer questions and willing to help! Our beloved dog passed away while living here and they purchased us a bouquet of flowers as condolences. The building is clean and neighbors are very friendly. The gym was always kept clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this building to anyone if you are looking for wonderful service and a sense of community. I am really going to miss the 104!

Thank you so much for saying so many nice things about The 104! We're glad we could make your time here enjoyable!
We have been here two years now and just renewed our lease again. It is hard to beat the location and the staff is incredible.

We're so glad you have enjoyed your time here with us!
I have lived here for 1 1/2 years. When I first moved in I thought this place would be too small. However, it proved to be just right for me. The bedroom is a good size (not too small) and even comes with a walk in closet. The bathroom is also roomy and I have enough space for everything I have plus more. The floors in the apartment are cool to the feel even in the sunniest of the apartments. And the layout lets me be creative in making spaces for living. I commute to Seattle and The 104 is perfectly located near bus stops with various buses to different areas - Bellevue, Seattle, Redmond, Kirkland, Mill Creek and Lynnwood. The location also is near to lots of restaurants and entertainment opportunities. And lots of parks and the Sammamish River Trail, not to mention within walking distance to the UW-Bothell and Cascadia College. Staff here are very friendly and welcoming.
I have been living at the 104 Apartments for nearly one year and I absolutely love it!! Between my cement floors and modern galley kitchen with stainless steel appliances, I feel like I am living a trendy lifestyle! Below are some of my favorite amenities this place offers which I really took into consideration when selecting an apartment: • Pet-friendly • Monthly events for residents • Walkability to restaurants/bars • Cleanliness/upkeep of property All in all, this place is wonderful. I have never lived in a complex with such friendly office staff who cared about me and my dog’s happiness. They always have dog treats on hand and candy for me (the good kind). I highly recommend this complex if you are looking for a fun, safe and modern apartment complex to call home! x122 Neighbor
I suffer from a serious health condition that results in some unusual symptoms, and recently moved into The 104. The management staff, Kristin and Shauna have just been amazing with the challenges I bring with me in making this move and setting up in a new situation. Not just in going above and beyond for me, but in doing so with human compassion and genuine kindness. And the head maintenance bro Louis was so friendly and easygoing in doing a good deal of work above what one might normally expect. It never felt like I was asking too much. Just super friendly and kind. I know this building has recently changed management, so take that into consideration when reading reviews here and elsewhere. These guys are striking a nice balance between running midsized complex while giving it a small complex feel. As far as the building and apartments themselves, they are newer and in outstanding condition as far as I can see. They are kept up well. And the location is actually fairly amazing. Bothell is going through a cool overhaul and this place is just close to everything, UW/Cascadia, freeway access, shopping, restaurants, and Burke-Gilman/Sammamish trails. It’s very dog and bicycle friendly, to the point of having a mini-bike-shop in the garage, and a mini-dog-park.
