Property Ratings at The Abigail
I have lived here for several months and I don’t have any real complaints! The area is very walkable within short distances of Topiary Park, Columbus Museum of Art, Brioso Coffee, Roosevelt Coffee, the Hills Downtown Market, Olde Towne East, and many other places. I have had issues with appliances about four times but maintenance has been quick to fix the issues every time. The bedrooms aren’t beautiful at all but they do the job. The living room is spacious and the window is really big and lets in so much light on sunny days. The sunlight that comes in through the windows keeps the apartment warm during the day, too. One really unfortunate thing is that parking is $110 a month. Other than that, I’ve never had any real issues and have never felt unsafe here as a 20yo woman.

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a positive review! Happy Holidays! The Team at The Abigail
Do not stay here! These apartment are in a high crime area without any apartment security; staff is never around. Homeless people walk the hallways often and management is very poor. The entire building is dirty and rundown, and the staff/management takes retaliatory measures against renters should they complain. They had property hazards including faulty electricity and doors that do not lock. Room checks are often and they came in and turned over my mattress and tore off my sheets.

The Abigail lied to me about my lease and told me on multiple occasions that the bedrooms were significantly larger than they actually are. The rooms were supposed to be 200 square feet. I called them multiple times and asked them, even when I was unsure and they told me that the rooms were in fact 200 square feet. Let me tell you, it was about the size of a large walk in closet. They lied. It was and still is an agregious misrepresentation.

Going into my third year living at The Abigail and I really like it. The common areas of the apartments are open-concept and pretty spacious. The building has an industrial vibe and it has concrete floors which make for easy cleaning from pet hair, as well as paint and charcoal mishaps (I am an art student at CCAD--campus is adjacent to the building--which is also very convenient for students who want to technically live off campus but also still be right there. It's also close to OSU). One thing I think is pretty unique is that they do roommate matching (you can rent a single bedroom from a 2 or 3 person unit). Any issues I've ever had with an appliance were fixed by the next day. The staff is super nice and accommodating.

I thought the Abigail had a really cool style and was in a decent area in Columbus. However, the management is absolutely horrible. The staff is incompetent and ignorant to legal guidelines and in no way respect or care about their tenants by any means. If you're looking for somewhere to live, really consider what it means to have a good property management team because I have never experienced worse in my entire life.

Studio has nice space. Good location, everything works.
I lived at the Abigail for a year and wanted a studio but because I put my application in so late I could only get a 2 bedroom and I didn’t have a roommate. I ended up doing the roommate matching and thought I’d end up with an ok roommate but mine was horrible, always leaving the lights on which caused my half of the rent to go up. The property manager Daysha is great and is always coming up with activities for the residents plus there is a great bar/restaurant across the street which I would always go to before work with an amazing staff.
