Service is not up to par

We've been living in this building for 4 years and although the initial apartment state is nice, the quality deteorates quickly as the apartments are not maintained well. The hardwood floors are so thinly coated that they get ruined quickly and management refuses to fix them after 3 years of occupancy. In addition, if appliances (which are low end) break, they replace with old ones. The apartments cost over $1k more than the sister building because of the built in washer dryer; however they are tiny, low end and if break, they are replaced with the old appliances that are discustingly dirty , not great for clothes/ruin clothes quickly, and do not last for long. Then one has to argue with management to get any sort of replacement. Very disappointing. Time to change buildings, especially with the garbage collection station being built right in front of the building. No longer a desirable location.

Fantastic UES Building

This is a fantastic doorman building on the UES. All of the staff are friendly and very helpful. Most residents have been in the building for 5 years due to the great service. One of neighbors has lived in the building since it was built! I plan on renewing my lease this year! The prices are reasonable for NYC and the space and views can't be beat. When I moved in the kitchen had been newly upgraded, the entire apt had been painted and fixtures in the bathroom were also new! Though it is located away from the 86th and 96th street subway stations, the building provides a weekday shuttle that is very convenient. The new express 86th street cross town bus also stops across the street so there are multiple public transportation options available.
