Tucked between the rolling hills of northern Mississippi, Oxford is a charming small town brimming with historic character and artistic appeal. Home to the University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss, Oxford is also teeming with youthful energy and cultural events.
The Historic Downtown Square has served as the epicenter of Oxford since the city’s incorporation in 1837. Today, the Square boasts a bevy of eclectic shops and boutiques, art galleries, independent bookstores, nightlife spots, chef-driven restaurants, and downhome eateries.
Among many notable residents past and present is the celebrated author William Faulkner, whose legacy is commemorated through the preservation of numerous relevant homes, his gravesite, and a bronze statue in front of City Hall. Oxford is also home to a thriving arts scene, with a variety of museums, galleries, and creative communities in town.

Property Ratings at The Azul Apartment Homes
I stayed there 3 years and management only got worse. One time they left my unit unlocked and opened for 2 weeks while I was gone for the winter. Also good luck contacting them.
DONT SIGN THE LEASE WITN THEM. I repeat don’t stay with this apartment. If there was a rating below 1 star I would give them. I am not someone who writes review but this apartment made me do it. First of all the new management doesn’t care about you at all. They just care about money and money is all they want from you. Overall the stay there was very traumatic. It started with packages not getting delivered. You have to go to the USPS and UPS store to get your packages. They don’t deliver because the front office people were too lazy to receive packages and hand it over to their residents. When I went to the USPS and UPS store to ask why they aren’t delivering packages anymore, they said the front office doesn’t want to receive packages at all. And all of a sudden they changed their address and our packages were returned back to the sender. Only after a month they informed us about it , everything is so unmanaged. They just don’t care about you. When you go to the front office, they are always rude to you. They never care about your problem at all. When moving out they will charge you with all the unnecessary charges. They charged me with things that wasn’t even my fault. They were working on a rooftop leak in my room and left it unfinished and they charged me for that. Are you kidding me? I went to the front office to talk about the charges, they told me to email them in writing but gave me the wrong email. How is that professional? I still have so much to tell about the charges they charged me. Just know it will be a nightmare if you stay in this apartment. Good Luck.
Azul, formerly known as connection. Just because they changed the name doesn't changes the problems and issue that comes with the apartment. Good luck getting anything done if your apartment comes up with any issue. They will charge you anything they want when you are moving out as well. They will get you 1 month extra rent i.e. 300 for cleaning fees even if you leave the apartment cleaner that you received so make sure you take the videos before and after you leave.
Oxford has an ample amount of apartments. DON'T choose this one. There is nothing special about it and the property management company does not care about the people, only the money. We moved here last minute in July as my husband accepted a position at the hospital. We were told we could sublease when we found a home. Here we are 6 months in and ready to move into our home, and the lease was taken over by a new company. We are no longer able to sublease and therefore have to pay a mortgage and rent for the reminder of the lease. The ONLY reason we chose this location was knowing we could sublease. They have given no grace on this although we've given so much grace to this property. When we moved in, there were holes in the doors/walls, dents on all doorknobs, water all over one bathroom floor, not renovated as told, looked NOTHING like the model room, and was full of gnats. It smells like pot every time I walk outside with my little ones. There is a dog above us constantly barking. The mail parcels are usually full from other people in the community and half the time you have to go to USPS to pick up any large package. Security systems don't really work as stated on website. They no longer have game transportation either. These are all things we've had grace on knowing that we would move out soon. It has honestly been disappointing from the beginning and now I wish we would have went with a different location. Don't make my mistake. Oxford has too many great properties to go with this one.
would not recommend ever. Staff is unprepared, unprofessional and most of the time ignoring important information tenants have relayed to them. Apartments on move-in are not cleaned, have prior damages, mold, painted over fire alarms, electrical outlets, and much more. There is no maintenance coordination and most of the time sending unlicensed vendors work on repairs. I would never sign here again. To even get someone to show up for a repair or get the assistance you have to go to the office every day to find an employee not aiding the situation at all, just trying to get you to leave. Don't let the demo room fool you.
Our daughter lived here last year. So many issues and problems! We chose the connection, based on several factors including the model unit as well as the security gate. Well, on move in day we discovered that the actual units are a far cry from the model units. Her apartment was filthy and missing baseboards. We cleaned for a day and a half when she moved in. It took weeks and months to get things done and some we just gave up on. The gates did not work most of the time. The roommate matching was a joke! Our daughter was very specific on the roommate matching form yet the roommates she was "matched" with were nightmares. The first roommate was not even a student, smoked-even though our daughter was very clear that she had severe allergies and asthma- as well as we were told there was not smoking here. This roommate was evicted after a few months and left owing money for power bills to our daughter. Another roommate was moved in and smoked pot until police action was threatened. We repeatedly told the property manager who did not seem to want to address it. One of the office personnel in particular only made issues worse instead of assisting. There was flooding in January due to frozen pipes in another apartment, and the only notification she received was that the water was off. She did not find out about the flooding until she called to ask about water being off. The only good thing to speak of here was Mr. Mike in maintenance. He was always so kind and helpful. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!
The Mark Condominium is one of the classiest establishments in the quant college town of Oxford, MS - also commonly referred to as "God's Country". As a college student, I've dealt with numerous poorly run, untrustworthy, money-hungry rental corporations that stop at nothing to squeeze every last penny out of you before you leave this town. However, the MARK CONDOMINIUM is completely different. Most of the units here are owned (not rented) by locals or past alumni. The landscaping is minimal and subtle. The actual apartments themselves - 2 bed/2bath- are very spacious, clean, and built with seemingly high quality material (which often is NOT the case at other poorly ran rental complexes). The kitchen comes with brand new appliances, wooden cabinets, and granite counter tops. The living room, storage room/pantry, and kitchen areas have wooden floors; bedrooms have carpet. The master bedroom is slightly larger, has a larger walk-in closet, and a large bathroom inside of the room (which also contains a small storage closet for linens, etc). The other bathroom is adjacent to the 2nd bedroom so it can essentially be the "public" bathroom if you have guests over. A small patio is connected to the living room door. The complex itself is staffed by friendly workers that always stop to say hello when they are making their morning maintenance runs. The two separate pools found on location are perfect for summer get-togethers and late-night cookouts. One of my favorite features is a small quarter-mile track located within the complex. This is perfect for pet owners that have large dogs which require constant exercise. A double tennis court can also be found on location. Nature lovers can explore the Whirpool Trails, a scenic 10mile stretch of gravel and rocks surrounded by trees that runs parallel to the road this apartment complex is located at. The monthly rent is modestly priced compared to other rental units (internet, cable, water, sewage, trash, maintenance are all included; tenants only pay for electricity). The location is close enough to campus so that attending on campus events or getting to class on time isn't stressful, but it's also far enough away from campus to avoid the serious traffic congestion that can occur frequently throughout the year. The atmosphere is very quiet and tranquil. All of the neighbors give a strong sense of community. I highly recommend all incoming students tour The Mark first before looking elsewhere. No Regrets!
