Property Ratings at Park at Callaghan
My experience living here has been regrettable from day 1 and I'm relieved that my year of living in a substandard Hellish complex is finally ending. I have had hot water for a total of 6 weeks. Calling the city, begging and pleading with management netted zero results. The boiler issue is never resolved. I had no heat either for 6 months as well. My neighbor had clogged their sink which backed up sewage water into our unit which management took 5 days to resolve. My kitchen sink is currently clogged again and I'm wading through flooded floors. I notified management 3 times and it's now 5 days later unresolved. Be prepared to deal with the endless cockroaches. In one day I went through 4 cans of Raid as the infestation is an ongoing daily battle. Safety and security do not seem to be a high priority. My car has been side swiped twice and the front bumper destroyed while parked here. And 2 of my neighbors have had their plates stolen. I also witnessed my upstairs neighbors apartment being robbed at 2 in the afternoon as the robber was dragging items down the stairs. I also witnessed a shooting at the building adjacent to mine. The squatters must watch tenants vacate as broken windows, bent up screens and kicked in doors appear to be the norm here. Management has changed 3 times this past year. The most noticeable improvement is less trash on the premises, otherwise I'd classify this complex a dump.
this place is horrible. roach infested, gunshots and breakins regularly. mailboxes are broken into, maintainance does absolutely nothing, management is absolutely horrible. they refuse to schedule with you and threaten to drill your locks if you refuse then entry, even if you are working while they want to enter. they took 3 months to replace a bulb, my door still hasn't been fixed and neither has my ac. its a guessing game as to if you have cold or hot water, and you only get one for 6 months at a time.been here two years And i hate it

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Management is useless, rude, and unprofessional. They try to charge you unnecessarily and their ledgers are shady. The enviornment is unsafe, there are constant issues with the water and they shut it off with no warning all the time. Unsafe area, horrible management, shady charges.

Since I got the place ive had a lot of bad experiences. First my lease wasnt emailed to me when it was suppose to. Then on the day of move in my apt wasnt ready. They were cleaning it on the day of. Unfortunately i had scheduled the movers to bring my stuff that day while the apt wasnt prepared. Now they told me rent is free on the first month however the first free month isn't really free. You still have to pay, it will just get added to your rent every month til your done with your lease. Days later i come home from work and my cat's bowls are turned upside down on the floor, dust was everywhere (on my furniture). I was not informed that maintenance was coming by or what they were doing. My pricacy was invaded. Then i dont get running hot water. Water turns cold after 10 or 15min. Its like pulling ears to try to get them to fix things. Now that i have lived in the place for a week nearly they are only now telling me about renters insurance. I think that things could of been better organized. And there should be better communication between staff and residents.

IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS!!!!!! ROACHES, BAD MANTENANCE, HORRIBLE STAFF, AND SHADY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have lived here for 1 year, 6 months under the old staff, and 6 months under the new (even though they say they were only here as of January 2019.) And I can't wait for my lease to be up so I can leave this place. The proper description of this place would be horrible maintenance and shady people. It started with our "updated" apartment only being half fixed when we moved in. Our dishwasher wasn't anchored properly, our bath drains were broken, one toilet wouldn't stop draining, and our cabinets were falling apart. We were assured they would fix it within the month. The only fixed issue was the toilet, which wasn't fixed for 6 MONTHS!!! The management tried to cheat me out of money 4 times. Our apartment flooded 5 times, and they claimed to fix it each time. In November of 2018 we were informed of a management change, and we hoped it would get better. It didn't. Our apartment flooded again, and they said it was our hot water heater. They told us we would need a new one but as it was the Thanksgiving holiday they couldn't get it in until the next week so they made us stuff our towels in the closet to "hold the water back." Then they gave us excuse after excuse saying why they couldn't fix it. They only fixed it after I complained 5 or 6 times over 3 months. During this time our air went out. They claimed to have fixed this also a few times. It still is out. There have also recently been many murders near our apartment building. One on the other side of the fence from our building. There was a hole left in the fence that people have started walking through, not all residents. One stood at the back of my car staring at me for a few minutes as I tried to leave for work at 6a.m. We have also had problems with roaches since moving in. To top all of this off I was informed that the reason for our maintenance not being cared for was that their key wasn't working, so we allowed them to copy our key, only for them to tell us that they LOST OUR KEY and needed another. Some random person has a key to my apartment. That was the final straw with this place!... There is so much more, just take it from me. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!

I strongly suggest you keep looking. I’ve been through hell in these apartments from mice, roaches, flea infestations and so forth. Not to mention, I didn’t have hot water for 4 months and got my car towed twice. My neighbor’s toilet wasn’t flushing and no one would come to fix it, he had it that way for 4 days. Imagine that? It is currently under new management again by GVA Property Management, the staff is such a pain. They’re rude and the fakest people ever! Unless you’re a new resident or have something they want. And I’m not one to leave reviews like this, but these apartments are AWFUL and I would hate for someone to go through what we experienced.
I have been a resident here for 6 months already, everything was going fine until I got my car towed because I accidentally parked in the visitors parking & management said they can’t do anything about it!!! Now I have to waste 250$ out of my pocket!!! I have been a good resident ever since I have lived here & this is how they treat me!!!! So mad, leaving this place as soon as my lease is over!!!!!!!
New management is awesome! I love the new improvements they are making to the complex. New pavement parking lots, they've put in new furniture for BOTH pools, even the buildings are repainted and the color scheme is great! They've remodeled the leasing office and are still planning to do more! And this has all happened within the last few months. I moved in about 2 years ago when the previous management was there and although they were good, new management is like an upgrade! The prices are reasonable and as long as you do right by them, they'll do right by you! I've recommended this complex to just about anyone looking for an apartment. The best part is I'm located around the Medical center area and don't have a car, but I can comfortably get to all the places I need to by taking the bus. Several bus stops around in case you were looking for a convenient area to travel to and from!
10 months ago- I wouldn't even give these apartments 1 star . There is Never hot water after constantly complaining to the management about it . Its infested with roaches and bed bugs. management sucks they want to raise everyone's rent even though their grounds alone are always covered with trash and Pools are always dirty . managment is lazy and doesn't care to fix anything at all . they are attempting to remodel the exterior of the complex, but are not taking issue with the inside of the units.
Very good management! I live in a studio apartment and the rent is very good! Two pools and a basketball court. I've recommended it to several people!
