Property Ratings at The Cove at Golden Isles
Our central air has not worked in 3 months called management and keep getting the run around. Will not be renewing the lease. Also the pool was closed more than it was open over the summer.
Since the new management, this property has improved. They actually care about this property and you can tell by the way they are always interacting with us. They have cleaned the gutters and trimmed tress and just this week have upgraded all the lights to LED in my apartment . They are so caring. Every time I go up to the office they act like they have know me forever. My husband had a problem with walking and he could not climb up the stairs and I was at a point I didn't know what to do. The Manager took time and listened to our situation and came up with a solution and with in two days she moved us to another apartment on the bottom level, she did not have to do this and I know there was no benefit to her. We have lived here for two years now and I am so happy with the Manager and her staff and the maintenance is always around helping. I would like to see some flowers. But overall I would recommend living here.
The New Owners took over the property in September 2018 and it is wonderful!
Getting the office on the phone is hit or miss. I put down a deposit as I was going to move to the area for a job. Ended up backing out of the apartment and I received a message saying my refundable money would be returned. Months later I get a letter from a collection agency that I owe the deposit and an unreasonable fee which was more than the deposit. The apartment told me to call the third party payment company. Neither company has enough info on my disabled account to help me. A simple phone call months ago could have cleared everything up.
My advice, find somewhere else. While the model apartment they show you might be nice, expect something completely different in your own apartment. We moved in mainly due to convince at the time, our mistake. We're already looking for other places to stay. The office management is very poorly ran. You never get anything fixed in a timely manner, if you can even get ahold of anyone in the office. Once you do tell them things that are wrong they have a attitude about it. Only two people work in the office and they're not capable of all the responsibilities they have. They're never on the same page and don't communicate to each other. I can't wait to find a better place to live.
After 6 months I had to leave. My fridge leaked everyday a puddle and they kept telling me it was MY FAULT. After my AC broke they took a week to replace ig and told me I would be reimbursed, only to later say that it wasn't their fault the AC burnt out. Along with that the front desk has issues stating this isn't a place for "certain types" after I left the room. All around it is completely unbelievable how terrible these apartments are. The price is low but then they tack of fees equalling overy 250$ more than what they state for rent. So the nice 740$ 2BR goes to 1000$ and when questioned they just tell you "it's in the contract you signed." This was the biggest mistake I hope to never see anyone make. Glynn place is where I reside now and it is perfect in every way. Rent is cheaper and everything has a fresh new feel to it.
