You will not be disappointed with anything at this place. The staff is wonderful, the amenities are amazing, they are extremely pet friendly and they do a lot for and with their residents. This is by far the best complex I have ever lived in. My husband was recently promoted and we are moving to IL, we looked for a MAA apartment there and we were sad to see there wasn’t one. We are sad to leave this amazing place. It really was home. We love you guys!!!!! We WILL miss you all!

Everything was fine until my boyfriend and I got a puppy. We moved in, in July and got our puppy in August. We have been blamed countless of times for him urinating in the hallway and elevator, even though he hasn't. We live on the fourth floor and sprint down the stairs to take him out. According to the management, there have been several "eye witnesses" that have seen our dog urinate in the elevator which again, is not true or possible because we take the stairs. This has been happening since October and we have gotten several lease violation papers. Yesterday, as my boyfriend and I were literally just getting home from my surgery, we got a 10 day notice. They have yet to show us any proof, even though Quinton has said that he has video proof. He will not show us any pictures, videos, or even tell us the days and times of when these things happened . There are many dogs that live in building and I know our dog is not the one that has been urinating in the elevator, but according to Quinton, he is. I will not be able to put any weight or pressure on my foot for 8 weeks as I've just had reconstructive surgery on it and now we have to scramble to pack up and find a place in 9 days. Living here has been hell. Also, even though they're making us leave, we still have to pay an early-termination fee AND any additional cleaning costs. They're a joke.

After living here 1.5 years, I’d say it’s the worst place I’ve lived. It’s worse than the college apartments I had because the price is very high and quality has disappeared in the last 18 months. I would say fire the property “managers” but they’ve turned over already while I’ve been here. I cannot recommend this apartment based on anything. I guess if you want to spend a luxury amount of money and still have to manage a property yourself, then I could recommend it. Otherwise, hard pass.

My fiancé and I moved into the Denton a little over a year ago and were allowed to waive many fees when moving in because I was a teacher and they said they had a preferred employment special. Fast forward to our last 6 months there where the complex began construction on our building that was less than 10 years old and every day could be met with construction traffic, closure of exits, and email after email about when and where you could use your own property. We voiced our concern about being woken on a Saturday morning at 8 am to drilling and hammering right outside our window and nothing changed. Then came the move-out process. We were first charged a $20 fee for not having renters insurance, which we had documentation for and had to ask for the fee to be removed 3 times before it was completed. After move out, we completed the walk through and told that our charge would be $75, which we agreed to pay. One week later, Quinton called and said the amount would now be $511 due to damage to carpet that wasn’t found the first time through, then changed it to 80% of that amount. After we asked a few questions that needed to be looked into, he reversed and said the full $511 would still be needed. The deposit money we were “waived” is now being charged to us in a completely unprofessional way. Would not recommend the property if you have ANY other option.

The general aesthetic of this property is going downhill at such a fast pace we’ll be living in ruins soon. Management is rude, condescending, treats you like an idiot if you have any sort of question. Maintenance on this property is non-existent, (holes in walls in hallway, never cleaned, sloppy paint job). Used to be nice and what a luxury apartment should be. The only thing I’d consider luxury at this point is the pricing. Public housing would be a good comparison.

I’ve lived at The Denton for almost a year and just renewed my lease. We initially considered The Denton when it was still Burlington Creek about 3 years, but unfortunately went with a different complex closer to the city. Since then, MAA has purchased The Denton building and Burlington Creek buildings and has built an entirely new building, which is the perfect centerpiece to the property showing us the direction MAA is taking The Denton. Currently, the building I’m in is being remodeled, which is, while noisy at the moment, very exciting. The staff is genuinely friendly. No matter where you see them, you’re greeted with a smile and hello, always open to conversation. They all very much seem to realize that this isn’t just their job, these apartments are homes to its residents, which is a wonderful feeling I haven’t experienced renting anywhere else. It’s a comfort and luxury to know that they care about your living experience. They’re always there to help when you need them, whether it’s to swiftly deal with a complaint or just something as simple as printing out a document for you when your printer runs out of ink. I never have any trouble with maintenance requests not being handled in a timely manner, and the maintenance staff is very respectful and so great about resolving problems. Safety is something that’s very important to me. There is a security company that watches the property at night and can be called for any reason at any time when the office is closed. I also feel very safe in our building as the front doors are only unlocked during business hours, and no one that doesn’t live or have business here can gain access to our building (after hours) or our floor since your key is what makes the elevator move. We have two gorgeous pool areas, and the grounds are maintained beautifully. The flower pots are changed with each season and holiday and everywhere you go always looks pristine. I can honestly say that I definitely see myself living here for the next couple of years until we’re ready to buy a house, and even then it will be hard to leave. So happy to have found this place!

My spouse and I visited the Denton facility as a contender. My spouse is a firefighter and Quinton told us ALL fees would be waived. He was pushy and pressured us to fill out an application FREE OF CHARGE. He assured us there would be NO loss in applying. The only stipulation was that we would have 48 hours to sign the lease. We chose to go with a different facility. We received a statement from Christian for $500.00 and a threat to send it to collections if not paid although the fee was never agreed on. I called the manager, Jim, to express my concern and to have the statement removed as it was not discussed in our meeting. He became very hostile and rude then proceeded to hang up on me when I asked for his supervisor's contact information. I called back to get the name and contact of corporate and he still refused to provide me with the information needed to resolve the issue.
