Directly across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., Arlington is less a suburb than an extension of the nation’s capital. It’s the home of the Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery, and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, with a number of waterfront parks offering beautiful views across the river to the National Mall.
The community provides a wide range of living options, from apartments, townhomes, and duplexes to condos and houses. A major reason for Arlington’s popularity is that there is so much to do. Washington may be packed with monuments, museums, and other sightseeing landmarks, but Arlington holds the advantage when it comes to the more day-to-day shopping, dining, entertainment, and nightlife.
You’ll have several options for getting around town or into D.C., whether you choose to drive, take the Metro, or ride your bike — Arlington has earned a silver rating from the League of American Bicyclists.

Property Ratings at The Paramount
The front office service is TERRIBLE! Unresponsive and if they do respond they are rude. The building is also outdated and in constant need of repairs

The team running the Paramount, in particular Monique, truly excel at customer service. She goes the extra mile to learn all the tenants’ names and always greets them with a smile. I have witnessed her remedy any issue or even slight inconvenience that arose while living in the building, and her amazing customer service will be something that I miss upon moving.

An excellent place to live based on all the factors I was looking for. Great place for families, students, and young professionals looking for a large, well run place on a budget.
The apartment is in a great location to roads and the metro..very pet friendly.
I wouldn't really classify this complex as a "luxury" complex, per se, but I just renewed my lease, so it's not that bad! The biggest con is the computers and printers in the business center don't really work that well (wifi is super slow), but that's not a huge necessity in my life. In the year that I've lived hear, I've only needed the staff to attend to very cosmetic fixes, which has been great. For the area, the prices are really reasonable. Again, nothing is super fancy, which reflects in the price, but the location is awesome-just a few blocks from the metro. Everything you need is within walking distance. You can walk to a grocery store, and multi-level mall within 10-15 minutes. There is also quite a number of restaurants and bars nearby. I can see myself here for another year or two.
The apartments are spacious and the amenities are nice, but dealing with management is a nightmare. Any time I have a problem, it takes forever to be dealt with. The TVs in the gym weren't working when I moved in, and management had no idea. I let them know, and it took three months to fix. Even then, only half were fixed and half the gym machines don't even work. Another time, there was a leak in an upstairs apartment and they came in and destroyed our wall to make sure the leak wasn't dripping down. Neither my roommate nor I were notified that any of this was going on - what a surprise when we came home to find our wall destroyed! Then, our dryer unit wasn't working and it took them coming in several times to actually get it fixed (although they said it was fixed every time). Finally, maintenance has left cigarette butts in our apartment not once but TWICE. One time on our furniture. Management just brushed off the issue. I like the actual apartment, but the maintenance and management are nightmares, unfortunately. If they improved, this apartment would be great!
